I opened my eyes to realize that I was back at home. It all looked familiar. Everything was the same, except something felt off. Something felt very off. How was I here? I was sitting on the couch and got up before looking around.

'What are you doing, Kae?' Lydia said annoyed, 'You can't avoid this conversation forever, you know.' I turned around and gazed at her in shock.

She was wearing a maroon dress and her hair was bouncing off of her as she squealed in delight. The last time I saw her was when she was in Eichen House. Lydia grabbed my hand before pulling me back into the living room and demanding that I sat down and tell her what happened.

'What happened?' Lydia squealed.

'What did I say that happened?' I asked curiously.

'You and Theo.' Lydia smiled, 'It was your one year anniversary, silly.'

I nodded even though I was confused.

'What did the two of you do?' Lydia demanded.

I looked around the room to realize that it felt empty. 'Where's Scott?' Lydia laughed.

'You're so silly.' Lydia laughed and I looked at her confused.

'I'm serious.' I declared, 'Where's Scott?'

'I understand how hard it is, but you really need to accept it.' Lydia said calmly.

'Accept what?' I demanded angrily.

'Scott's dead.' Lydia said.

I stood up abruptly. I stared at Lydia angrily. 'The Lydia I know would never say something like that.'

'I've changed over the year.' Lydia said sadly, 'Being on Theo's side was hard on me.'

I scoffed. 'What are you talking about?'

'You seriously don't remember anything?' Lydia demanded.

'No. I don't.' I stated.

'Scott and Stiles. Malia. Kira. Liam.' Lydia said, 'They're all gone.'

'No. What about Allison? Anna? Hunter?' I asked.

'I was the only one that you could- that you could save.' Lydia said softly.

'No. No.' I snapped.

'And after that, you stood by Theo to protect me.' Lydia said, 'And then you fell in love with him.'

I shook my head over and over again. I started crying. 'I-I. I wouldn't have made it. Not without them.'

Lydia nodded solemnly. 'But you did, and after a year, now you're finally showing that you care.' Lydia snapped towards me. 'But, you need to wake up. Wake up, Kaelin, because I need you. I need your help.'

'What did you say?' I asked confused.

'Wake up.' Lydia snapped.

I fluttered my eyes open. I looked around the drastic and dark room that I was in. I was in Eichen house and Lydia was still in danger. I looked down to my hands that were tied down to the chair that I was sitting in.

"Look who's awake." Valack said and I looked up in anger.

I must still be a vampire because the vervain affected me. Valack walked towards me and I tried to pull against the zip ties that held me to the chair, but it was no use, I was still weak from vervain intoxication. I glared at him heavily.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you." Valack stated, "I just need insurance."

"Go to hell." I hissed.

"I already have." Valack said as he was holding up another syringe. A syringe full of vervain. "You should've seen this coming."

"The one thing we can agree on." I remarked.

I should've guessed that Mrs. Martin was going to fall for his little front from the start.

I heard Lydia's ear piercing screech that echoed the halls of Eichen House. I pulled at the zip ties in anger. This couldn't be happening to her.

"What are you doing to her?" I hissed.

Valack stopped for a second to think before he shrugged. "Letting her live to her full potential."

I glared at him. "You're killing her." I scoffed. "Don't you realize that? What worth is she to you if she's dead?" Why would he care anyway? He's just a sociopath.

"Precisely. She isn't and that is why I have you." Valack said. He walked over to the table where he had many supplies and I watched his every move, deducting what move I should do and how I may be able to get out of here. "Lydia has some control. Not a lot, but that's because she doesn't care." Valack walked towards me. "If she dies, I can use you. She wouldn't allow me to use you."

I glared at him. "I can take care of myself." I tried to pull against the zip ties that I was in, hoping that I could find my strength to get me out of here and help Lydia.

"You Hales are always so stubborn." Valack said as he shook my head.

"You've done this before with my father?" I asked curiously, narrowing my eyes at him.

"I did enjoy psychologically torturing him." Valack remarked smiling.

"Try me." I challenged, "I've faced worse things than you." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Hearing your friend scream is torture enough." Valack said. "I promised your father I wouldn't kill you."

I gazed down at the syringe that he was holding. I was going to be here for a long time. I couldn't wait for Scott or Stiles. I need to get out of these chains now before Valack changes his mind and injects me with more vervain. He was going to continue his plan with Lydia, whatever that was and I was the leverage. I won't let myself be used against her, not when she can fight against them. She can fight against them. A lot better now that I'm here. Valack will continue his plan with her and she'll get hurt horribly. Mrs. Martin better be rethinking her thoughts about Lydia staying in Eichen House because I sure as hell am not going to let her stay here.

If vervain still effects me then that means I'm still a vampire. I may be a little weaker than usual but I can still take on a couple of guards if I can get out of here. I can get out of here. I just need to wait a little longer until the vervain is no longer in my system. If I can get out of here, I can get to Lydia and I can save her. I can save her.

Third Person P.O.V.

Theo felt devastated. He never wanted Kaelin to think about him the way the others did. He wanted to talk to her about what happened the other night. What he didn't know was that she went missing at that same night and the McCall pack were hatching a plan to get both her and Lydia back.

Theo climbed through her bedroom window. He expected Kaelin to be there, sitting on her bed, reading a book, but instead he found the bed not slept in. He looked around the room cautiously. His eyes gazing at the pictures she was in with Derek, Stiles, Scott, Lydia...

He heard chatter downstairs and eavesdropped with no hesitation, hoping that Kaelin was a part of the conversation.

"There's four steps." Stiles explained. The pack met in the McCall household as they hatched a plan to get Lydia and Kaelin out of Eichen House. Blueprints and Stiles' many plans were spread out on the table. He would usually hatch some of this plans with Kaelin, but since he wasn't here, he had to run this by himself, and he agreed that there was no time to think of any more plans. "We get into Eichen House, we get into the closed unit, we get Lydia and Kaelin, and we get out."

"They moved Lydia to another room since you guys last saw her, now we can't pass through." Scott pointed out.

"Kaelin could find her if we could just get to her." Anna suggested.

Stiles nodded in agreement. "I'm getting to that." Stiles held up a keycard from his pocket. "I stole this off an orderly last night, while some workers were dragging Kaelin to some cell they put her in." Theo growled protectively from upstairs. "But its useless because they reset the codes each night."

"So then why'd you take it?" Allison asked curiously.

"I'm getting to that." Stiles states annoyed.

"The only way to get Lydia and Kaelin out of Eichen House is to get the keycard to work again." Scott explains.

"So we're putting our faith in a stupid little keycard?" Hunter asked, tone full of disbelief.

"How are you gonna do that?" Liam asked.

Stiles glared at him in annoyance. "We're getting to that, listen. I pulled all the history off the keycard, two hours ago there was a brownout and the security system rebooted. All the key cards changed to the default, so if we trigger a brownout which triggers a reboot, the card goes back to the default code. It works again." Stiles explains.

"How are we gonna cause a brownout?" Kira asks curiously.

"That's your part. You're going to draw enough power from the mainline to cause a brownout." Scott informs Kira.

"Not a blackout. Do that and you send Eichen House into lockdown. Which would be bad, very, very bad." Stiles comments.

"Okay... Slight problem. I don't know how to do all that." Kira states.

"That's okay." Scott assured, "You have time to practice."

"This system takes five minutes to reboot. In that five minutes, all alarms will be turned off and the key card should work." Stiles concluded.

"Liam, you and I need to get Stiles and Hunter to the Closed Unit, but there's a mountain ash gate which only the two of them can get through. We only planned to get Stiles through, but Hunter is trustworthy, and he can help us." Scott looked over at Hunter and Stiles. "When we're gone everyone is going to think it was just a brownout and simple reboot because of the security system."

Everyone was very doubtful. Theo scoffed, not believing that this was their actual plan. He exited the way he came in. He was going to get her back himself.

"Okay. Okay. Okay. Admittedly a lot could go wrong, everything could go wrong." Scott stated, "Guys if we don't do this, we lose Lydia. She's going to die in there tonight and she might take out a lot of innocent people with her. Including Kaelin."

Anna looked up at Scott. "We've got someone on the inside, Scott. If Kaelin can get through whatever hellhole Valack has her in, then she could get to Lydia."

Scott and Stiles shared a look. "We know, but Kaelin's been dealing with healing problems, Ann." Stiles informed her, "We don't think that she's in any fighting condition."

Malia looked at Stiles and Scott in shock. She couldn't believe that they didn't tell her this.

"I agree with Anna." Allison stated, "Kaelin will go at no risk to protect Lydia. She can get to her."

Malia cleared her throat. "Scott, Stiles, let's talk. Now." Stiles and Scott looked at the two of each other before following Malia into the kitchen. She turned to them in a demanding tone. "Why didn't you guys tell me? Why didn't she tell me?"

"We weren't going to make her tell you." Scott said.

"She was planning on telling you." Stiles said, "Before your psycho mother came back." Stiles sighed. "I tried to convince her not to help, but she was going to fight for you. You know how stubborn she can be."

"Why didn't anyone tell me?" Malia repeated angrily as she narrowed her eyes at the two boys who stood before her.

"Because Deaton thinks that someone took some of her blood to become a vampire." Stiles informed her.

"Who would do that?" Malia demanded.

"Theo." Scott stated.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

Scott and Stiles walked into the library. It felt weird without Kaelin there with them. She was always there for them and they felt terrible that they couldn't be there for her. Kaelin would always be there with Stiles, trying to figure out what was going on, researching with him, in the library.

Scott turned around, growling, and Stiles glared angrily at the familiar teenage boy who was looking at a book. Theo.

"What are you doing here?" Scott demanded.

"I still need to graduate." Theo defended.

"No. What you need is to be beaten severely with a lead pipe, wrapped in barbed wire-" Stiles started, but Theo cut him off.

"Kaelin already hit me." Theo said.

"No, she didn't." Stiles snapped, "She high-fived you. In the face. With a chair, made of steel."

"Okay, I admit mistakes were made." Theo sighed.

"Murders. Some murders were made." Stiles corrected.

"A mistake would be Kaelin ever dating you." Scott stated.

Stiles and Theo turned stiff at the mention of her. Kaelin was Stiles' sister and Theo loved her.

"You know how the Soviets helped us win World War II? They knew how to make it through a Russian winter-" Theo started, but Stiles cut him off.

"That's it?" Stiles said annoyed, "Okay. Thank you, Theo. Very informative." Stiles knew that Theo would want to help get Kaelin back, but he wasn't going to let him take away her sister. He needed his sister.

"If you're planning to break Lydia and Kaelin out of Eichen House, you still need to get past the mountain ash-" Theo started, but Scott cut him off.

"We can make it through." Scott declared.

"You can't, Scott!" Theo exclaimed.

"He may not be able to, but I can." Stiles hissed angrily as he took a threatening step towards Theo. "And I will not let Valack do anything to Lydia and Kaelin."

"You're the reason that Kaelin's there." Theo snapped.

Scott and Stiles both glared at Theo. Theo sighed. "I don't want to be one of the bodies, and I don't want Kaelin to be one either. That's why I want to help-"

"So you can save her and act like Prince Charming?" Stiles snapped, "I don't think so. You are not going to take our sister away from us."

"Besides, she wouldn't fall for one of your tricks." Scott added.

"I can get you to her. I can get you to both of them... or we can see who gets to her first." Theo stated. Theo looked over to Scott. "Your Alpha strength won't work this time."

Stiles glared at Theo. "It doesn't matter if you find her first or not. You will never ever have her again." Theo growled at Stiles, but Scott pulled Stiles away from Theo.

"I'll find her and I'll save her." Theo stated, "And I'll keep her away." Theo pointed at Scott and Stiles. "From all of you." Theo hissed.

Scott still held a tight grip on Stiles as Theo exited the room. Stiles turned to Scott determined. "We have to get to them first." Stiles declared.

"Stiles, we have a plan-" Scott started.

"That plan is gone." Stiles snapped, "Kaelin can't protect herself. I saw it when Valack injected her with vervain. She won't be able to fight off the chimera pack, and if we wait, the chimera pack will get to her first."

"I know, but we have to be smart about this." Scott said, "You said-"

"I know what I said, Scott." Stiles said, "But it's her."

"Maybe if we can warn her..." Scott suggested.

"How are we supposed to do that?" Stiles exclaimed, "We don't even know if she's alive."

"She's alive." Scott declared, "She's a Hale." Scott tugged on Stiles' hand. "What if Kaelin did get back up? What if she could find Lydia?"

"If she can, she'd still need backup. The two of them would still need backup to get out of there." Stiles said.

"Then she'll have it. She has us." Scott declared.

"We can't always depend on her, Scott." Stiles stated.

"I know." Scott said, "But, right now, she may be the best chance that we've got."

"You know what happened to her Scott." Stiles snapped, "There are guards there. She couldn't even fight against them."

"I believe in her, Stiles." Scott said, "And I think Anna is right. Kaelin can get out of there and she can fight them."

Stiles shook his head. He didn't agree with what Scott was saying. He wanted to be able to save Kaelin, he felt that it was his fault that she was there in the first place. Stiles knew what his sister was capable of, but he saw how she wasn't healing, and he did not want to take that chance.

"I'm not taking that chance, Scott." Stiles declared.

"She was trained for this, Stiles." Scott argued, "If anyone can get out of that place alive. It's her."

Scott believed that Kaelin would make it out and help Lydia. He knew that despite being locked up in some cell in Eichen House, Kaelin would go at no end to save her friend.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

"How'd you do it?" Kaelin questioned.

Kaelin was moving her hand as she was leaning down to reach her boot. She had hid a dagger in there in case anything like this happened. Kaelin was still in Eichen House and she had hope that she would find a way out.

Valack stared at her in shock and she just shrugged. "I'm just mildly curious." Kaelin shrugged. She was still zip tied to the chair and she was bored. She was hoping to stall him for enough time for her friends to get past the mountain ash. If they're even here. They have to be.

"Why do you want to know?" Valack said.

"I don't know. A retired sociopath was able to convince Lydia's mother to make her stay in this hellhole." Kaelin said.

"No one's really asked me that." Valack admitted.

"Well, they're not as curious as I am." Kaelin remarked.

"No. They're not as blunt as you are." Valack corrected.

"That's right." Kaelin said, "Now, I think that you finished your stay as a good patient of Eichen House before becoming the Chief Medical Examiner so you could drill holes into supernatural heads so they could ruin the Dread Doctors. How am I doing?"

"You're lucky I made a promise to your father." Valack said.

Kaelin laughed. "When have you ever kept a promise? Especially one to my father?" Kaelin knew that Valack was a psychopath and it would take her pissing him off for her to break through the zip ties and knock him out.

She had reached her dagger before sliding it firmly up her sleeve to hide it from his sight.

"You're right." Valack said, "You and Lydia can both get me to the Dread Doctors." Kaelin turned pale. Valack picked up a drill before making his way towards Kaelin. "Don't worry. You'll heal."

Kaelin immediately tightened her grip on the chair. Her feet became solid on the ground as Valack stalked over to her, holding a drill. Valack walked over before pulling out the dagger she had hidden up her sleeve.

"Nice try." Valack acknowledged.

He turned the drill on before bringing it closer and closer to her head. He pushed her hair out of the way before shoving the drill inside her head. She felt as it drilled through her head. The blood splattered onto the ground as she screamed. She felt it. The pain that Lydia was feeling. The pain that all of his patients were feeling and she hated it. Valack grinned as he let loose his sociopathic side. He wanted revenge on the Dread Doctors and she could help him. It was Eichen house. Echo house. Everything echoed and Scott heard the scream of his sister.

He roared with all he had in anger before he pushed back at the guards that were electrocuting him.

Kaelin heard him. She shifted. Black veins rising up her cheeks before she shoved her head backwards knocking Valack onto the floor. She jumped out of the chair, ripping the zip ties off before rushing out of the room. She felt light headed as the vervain was still in her system. She couldn't fight. Not like this. She rushed into the closest room she could find before avoiding the guards that walked down the halls.

"Kaelin?" Peter asked from the other side of the glass.

Kaelin turned around in shock as she made eye contact with her father. She leant against the wall, ignoring her father. Peter stood up and walked closer to the glass, the closest he could get to her.

"Kaelin, what are you doing here?" Peter asked sincerely.

"I don't have to tell you anything." Kaelin stated annoyed as she held the back of her head.

"Kaelin-" Peter started, but Kaelin's glare was enough for him to back down. "What's going on?"

The alarms went off and Kaelin pushed herself back up from the ground. Peter looked at his daughter worriedly.

"They're after you, aren't they?" Peter said.

Kaelin ignored him as he broke the glass that was on the door and took a strand of glass. She shoved it into her arm and hissed in pain before pulling it out.  She shoved the glass back onto the ground. This could help the vervain get out of her system and give her enough strength to fight.

"Kaelin." Peter called out, "They'll be waiting for you."

Kaelin shook her head as she pushed her hair back onto her shoulders. Blood was stuck in her hair as Valack had drilled into her head. "It's better me than Lydia." Kaelin knew immediately that she shouldn't have said that as Peter fumed in anger.

"I told you not to get involved with them!" Peter snapped angrily.

"Oh! Now you care about me?" Kaelin exclaimed, pissed off. "The only reason that you are still alive is because of me. Scott wanted you dead, but I stopped him!"

"Kaelin, you need to back down." Peter suggested, "Talk to them. Valack-"

"Valack is torturing Lydia." Kaelin snapped, "He drilled a hole in my head. It might not be as deep as the others, but it still hurts like hell." Kaelin pointed to the back of her head which revealed the open wound.

"You need to hide in here." Peter insisted. He didn't want to take the risk of losing his daughter.

"I'm not hiding." Kaelin declared, "The only reason I actually came in here was because I needed to get the vervain out of my system so I could take them on."

Peter slammed his hand against the wall. "You can't do this. You won't win."

"I don't have to. As long as Lydia knows that we're here, she'll fight, and she won't kill herself and everyone here." Kaelin stated.

Kaelin needed to save everyone. Even if it killed herself.

"Just be the scared girl you were once before." Peter said, "Don't you owe me at least that much?"

"I'm not that person anymore and I can't be." Kaelin stated, "Not when Lydia's life is on my hands."

Peter shook his head at his daughter. He couldn't believe that she was actually his. They were entirely different. Peter watched as his daughter paced back and forth. Her expression sorrow and despair.

"Lydia's life is always on your hands, sweetheart." Peter declared, "You don't have to do this."

"I'm going to find Lydia and I'm going to save her." Kaelin stated determined.

"Kaelin, don't go out there." Peter pleaded, but Kaelin ignored him as she swung the door open and stepped out.

She was ready, ready to save Lydia, ready to save them all.
