Third Person P.O.V

Kaelin had made her way to Theo's house. He had left because he didn't feel very welcome. Liam had gotten Anna to the hospital and she was safe. Kaelin walked over to Theo, who was sitting there in his room, tears rolling down her cheeks. Scott had changed. Scott and Stiles had broken apart and She wondered if they could ever find their way back together. He had got up immediately before rushing over to her.

"Angel." Theo stated worriedly. He scanned her body up and down. "Are you okay?" I shook my head.

"I don't think I ever will be." She admitted. She knew that she could be honest with him. He couldn't of been the one who told Stiles off to Scott...

"Did anyone hurt you?" Theo demanded.

"Uh, no. I don't think so." She shook her head. Theo looked at her worriedly. "It's changed, Theo. Everything's changed."

"Angel, what happened?" Theo asked softly.

"I never thought it would happen, Theo." Kaelin said, "I never thought-" I continued to cry, but Theo held me close in his arms, comforting me.

"It's okay." Theo assured me, "It's okay."

"We made a promise... When I came back to life. That the three of us would stick by each other's sides. No matter what." Kaelin cried, "I never thought that they would ever break it."

Theo held me in a tight hug. "I won't let anyone else hurt you again." Theo said determined.

"I never thought he could be like this." Kaelin sobbed, "Scott used to be so understanding."

"Well, sometimes people change, and we have to deal with that." Theo spoke softly.

"I know and I want him to change, but not in a bad way." Kaelin said.

"You think he's changing in a bad way?" Theo asked curiously.

"He's become more paranoid and more distant." Kaelin said, "He usually talks to me about everything. To Stiles and I about everything."

"He'll be alright." Theo assured her. "He has you watching over him."

"I just don't want him to lose himself..." Kaelin mumbled.

"I lost myself in you." Theo stated.

"What?" Kaelin asked confused.

"I lost myself in you." Theo stated, "But you changed me, for good. Scott can come back from this."

"You really lost yourself in me?" Kaelin asked him curiously.

"Wouldn't have wanted it any other way." Theo said casually.

She closed the air between us as she pressed her lips against his. Theo kissed her back passionately. Every time they kissed, it felt right. She ripped off her jacket before tossing it to the side. Theo kissed her passionately and she kissed him back. He kissed her shoulder before kissing down her neck. Theo kissed her again.

"Kaelin?" Theo said.

"Hmm?" Kaelin hummed.

"I'm happy." Theo smiled.

"So am I." Kaelin smiled back.

Liam had been sitting next to Anna's hospital bed for the past few days. He wouldn't leave her. He felt like he was losing hope. He didn't want to lose hope, but he already was. He gripped his girlfriend's hand. She was his life. The only good thing that has ever happened to him.

"I don't know if you can hear me or not... But I need you. We all do." Liam cried, "I'm lost without you. I love you. More than anything." Liam sobbed. "So, please, wake up."

Kaelin felt that this was the wrong time to enter, but she had good news for him.

"She'll be okay, Li." Kaelin assured him, "I gave her some of my blood, so she'll be better in no time."

"I-I can't live without her." Liam stuttered.

"You won't have to." Kaelin assured him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Scott demanded. Kaelin turned around and narrowed her eyes.

"I'm here for my friend." Kaelin hissed, "Since you can't give her the bite, I have to give her my blood, so she can actually live."

"You're not supposed to do that." Scott stated.

"When someone says I can't do something, I prove them wrong." Kaelin snapped, "Shouldn't you know that by now?"

"Maybe we should all just calm down." Theo suggested. He knew that if Scott hurt Kaelin again, he would be the one hurting him.

Kaelin thought about it. "Fine." Kaelin said, "None of this is going to help her anyway." Kaelin looked over to Scott. "What exactly are you doing here?"

"I owe it to her father to be here." Scott declared. Scott knew exactly what Kaelin was going to say. "I didn't want her to turn into Paige."

"Don't you dare mention her." Kaelin hissed.

"Why? Because you know I'm right?" Scott asked.

"Paige was already dying when it happened." Kaelin said, "My dad was the one who told Derek to help get her the bite in the first place. If it wasn't for Ennis, she could've still been alive."

"If it wouldn't  have been for your father, many people would still be alive." Scott said.

"Are you really just trying to find anything to point the blame on me?" Kaelin scoffed. "I came here to save Anna, unlike you."

"I'm trying my best." Scott stated.

"Your best would be turning her into a werewolf." Kaelin said, "You haven't even done that yet."

Liam agreed with Kaelin. He had recently had a fight with Scott about it. Liam wasn't listening anymore as he just stared at his girlfriend. At his love.

"If you don't agree with my actions then leave." Scott snapped.

"I'm not going to leave Anna's life in your hands. Not when you're like this." Kaelin said.

"I don't trust you anymore, Kaelin." Scott snapped, "You chose Stiles over me."

"I didn't choose." Kaelin said.

"Yes, you did." Scott snapped, "You know what's worse? I'm not even surprised that you took the side of a murderer."

"A true alpha shouldn't care about that." Kaelin said, "They shouldn't care about them making mistakes, because everyone makes mistakes. Even you."

"I haven't killed anyone." Scott said, "Not like you and Stiles."

"I'm not leaving, no matter what shit you say to me." Kaelin declared.

Scott glared over at Kaelin before Liam spoke up. "Back off, Scott." Liam said. Everyone turned to look at him in shock. "What?" Liam spoke surprised. "We've already done this before, haven't we? Kaelin protects the pack and Scott takes it for granted." Liam stood up. "Anna would want Kaelin here." Kaelin looked over at Liam. She hated fighting with her brother. She could see that Liam was going through grief. Liam trusted her. Even though Kaelin didn't tell the pack about Stiles and Donovan, he still trusted her, because Anna wants him to.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

"Look. I promised Stiles I wouldn't tell you." Kaelin says sadly as she stood in his office. Mr. Stilinski had called her over here, demanding an answer.

"YOU PROMISED HIM THAT YOU WOULDN'T TELL ME?" Mr. Stilinski yells, "HE'S MY SON! I DESERVED TO KNOW!"

"I know. I know that." Kaelin says crying, "I knew what he was going through and he needed... He needed support... He needed someone to believe in him..."

"I WILL NEVER STOP BELIEVING IN MY SON!" Mr. Stilinski yells, "I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU!"

"You always can..." Kaelin says.

"NO I CAN'T! NOT ANYMORE!" Mr. Stilinski exclaims.

"When I saw what happened... It just, it reminded me what I did to the hunters---- I knew what he needed... I knew that he needed me to believe in him, like you believed in me." Kaelin admits, tears rolling down her face.

"WELL I DON'T BELIEVE IN YOU ANYMORE!" Mr. Stilinski yells.

"I know, and I'm sorry." Kaelin says, "But, what Theo said... He was lying."

"YOU LIED TO ME TOO!" Mr. Stilinski yells, "I LOVE YOU! LIKE MY OWN DAUGHTER AND YOU! YOU KEPT THIS FROM ME!"

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Kaelin says crying.

"YOU KNOW WHAT? JUST GO!" Mr. Stilinski snaps, "GO!" Little did he know, that Kaelin would relive every memory between her and Derek again, even the ones where she had tried to hide deep away in her mind. The memories where she thought he died. The memories where she had felt so much pain. She would feel it again. All of it. If he had not sent Kaelin away, she could've saved his life.

Kaelin's P.O.V

I rushed into the library and saw Anna's dead body. Whatever Scott tried to do, it didn't work. Mason was watching over her, tears stained his cheeks. "No. You hear me?" I rushed over to Anna. I touched Anna's body carefully and I could feel that there was no pulse. "This isn't happening. This isn't happening." I mumbled. I bit into my wrist and blood started dripping down from my hand. I tilted Anna's head up before trying to have her drink some of my blood. Mason watched me carefully, but he knew that I was trying to help his best friend... But she wasn't drinking it. "Damn it." I hissed. I guess I'm doing this the old fashioned way. I placed my hands square on her chest. I started pushing into it repeatedly, but she wasn't coming back. She was dead.

"Kaelin, she's dead." Mason stated.

Anna was innocent. She helped show me that death wasn't the end. That immortality wasn't the end. She's good. Not all of us are because of what have happened to us, but she's still good. She deserves to live.

"She's not." I snapped at him, "This is my expertise. Not yours." Tears were filling my eyes. Mason stepped away from the two of us as we heard commotion outside. It was Liam and Scott. They were fighting and it wasn't going to end well. I cradled Anna's dead body. "Look, Anna, I know how it feels. I know what you are experiencing right now and I know how much it hurt." I still held out my wrist to her mouth hoping that she would drink it. "But, you'll see her again." Mason turned to me in shock. "You'll see all of them again. I know it may feel like torture, but I promise you... You will see them again." I sobbed. "But I need you. We all need you."

Anna gasped, her heart thumping. She immediately drank my blood. She sat up before looking at Mason and I confused. She turned to me. "I saw her." Anna sobbed. "I saw my mother." I brought her into a tight hug.

"I know, but right now, I need you to get out of here." I said, "I will explain everything." I turned to Mason. "Bring her to the Argents. They can keep her safe... If they're suspicious of you, just tell them that I sent you."

"Kaelin, what's going on?" Anna asked. Mason helped his best friend off the ground. Even though he was shocked that she came back, he was happy that she was here.

"Take my car." I said as I handed my car keys to Mason. Mason nodded immediately. He would do anything to protect his friends. I glanced over at Anna. "Something that I can stop." I nodded over to Mason. "Go."

I walked in there. Liam was standing over his body. I rushed in front and stood in front of Scott. "Liam, don't do this."

"Move." Liam growled. He wouldn't hurt me, would he?

"If you're going to kill him, you're going to have to kill me too." I spoke as I stood in front of my brother. Scott watched me in shock. I wasn't afraid of Liam, I was afraid of hurting him.

"He let her die!" Liam hissed angrily.

"I know." I said, "But she isn't dead, Li. She's not dead."

"What are you talking about?" Liam demanded.

"She's alive, Li." I said, "Did you really think I'd let her die?"

Liam stood there in thought. "Not you. But him." Liam nodded over to Scott.

"He can't hurt her." I said. I understood what Liam was afraid of. "She's with the Argents." Scott looked at me in shock.

"You told the Argents?" Scott demanded.

"No, but they will protect her." I assured him, "She's going to live."

Liam watched the two of us in shock before he ran off. I rushed over to Scott and helped him up from the ground.

"I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay." Scott stated over and over again.

"No, you're not." I said worriedly.

"Kae, you have to find Theo." Scott said, "Find Theo and-"

"I'm right here, Scott." Theo said smiling sweetly. Scott glared at him. "You wouldn't mind if I talked to my girlfriend for a second, would you?"

"We should get him to the hospital." I said worriedly. Theo grabbed my arm before pulling me away from him and into the hallway.

"He'll heal." Theo stated.

"What?" I hissed, "Scott's pretty beat up."

"That's why I need you to stay here." Theo said.

"I am not going to stay here." I said, "Look, I know I was here late, but it was because something came up with Derek-"

"Derek?" Theo asked curiously.

"Yeah." I said, "He called me and he just needed a little bit of advice."

"I need to know." Theo growled.

"What?" I asked him confused.

"Derek." Theo growled, "I need to know."

I looked at him confused before he clashed his lips onto mine. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck.

"I'm sorry, Angel." Theo stated, "I really am."

'I love you, Kaely.' Young Derek spoke.

'I love you too.' Young Kaelin smiled.

Flash!

'For a six year old you happen to be very into drama.' Derek scoffed.

'What can I say? I'm fabulous.' Kaelin shrugged.

'Yes you are.' Derek smiled, 'I will tell you what's going on for a price.'

'What do you want?' Kaelin asked intrigued.

'I need something incriminating of your Dad's. He's been on my back for a while and I need to use it against him.' Derek said.

'I'm pretty sure I can find some things.' Kaelin nodded, 'Why's he on your back?'

Derek looked around the backyard before pulling Kaelin over to the side.

'I fell in love with this girl.' Derek said gleefully.

'Makes sense.' Kaelin said, and Derek looked at her confused. 'I've never seen you this happy before. Also, you can't just call her "this girl". Tell me her name.' Derek smiled, knowing that no matter what Kaelin would accept him for who he was. She would be happy for him. This kid only cared about his happiness, and he envied that about her. He wanted to be as carefree as she was, but he couldn't help but worry about what could happen to Paige.

'Her name's Paige.' Derek smiled, 'She's smart, beautiful, talented, and she stood up to me.'

'Well, I like her already. Someone needs to keep your ego in check.' Kaelin remarked. Derek shoved her playfully and she shoved him back laughing.

'I'm happy, you know?' Derek said, 'I feel like I'm flying.'

'I would love to feel that way.' Kaelin commented.

'Well, your time will come. The time will come for you, later in life, for you to feel exactly how I feel. To fall deeply in love. It may feel suffocating, but actually, it's, it feels relaxing. It feels soothing.' Derek said.

Flash!

Derek twirled his little cousin in the air.

Flash!

"Siempre, right?" Little Kaelin smiled.

"Siempre." Derek agreed.

Flash!

"What are you hiding?" Theo bellowed.

I can't remember all of this.

Flash!

"I care about you because we're family." Derek said.

"You're insane." I snapped.

Flash!

"You don't have to be a murderer. You don't have to be a killer." I told him.

Flash!

"You're not a monster. You have done everything that you could ever do to protect me. That's who you are." I snapped.

Flash!

"My whole family's dead." I said, "Do you really think that killing her is going to avenge them, Derek? You will only prove to them that you are just like her."

Flash!

"Don't you dare die on me, Hale." I said as I hugged him tight.

Flash!

"They're here because they care about you, Der." I said, "You already sent Cora away, you don't have to send them away."

Flash!

"DEREK!" I screeched. He was dead.

Flash!

"You could die. We could all die today. And I know that you guys are used to me being the overconfident guy, but I could die today." Derek said nervously.

"You won't die, okay? After everything you've been through, you won't." I say.

"It's nice of you to say that, but we're going against a demon. Something I've never gone up against." Derek admitted.

"You didn't go up against the kanima before and we still won." I defend.

"People still died." Derek said, and I looked at him astounded. I didn't know that he cared that much. I mean I did. If any innocent person got hurt or killed, I would be pissed. I would try to save them, to protect them. "I'm not the same guy I once was. I don't care about power anymore. I care about people, especially you."

"I know what could happen." I admit, tears brimming in my eyes. "I just can't bring myself to say it."

"You're in denial." Derek nodded, "Sometimes it helps, but most of the time it just makes it worse."

"Lydia was pulled into this because of Dad, and now she could--- She could-" I admit, tears rolling down my face.

"She'll be fine, you'll find her." Derek assured me, pulling me into a hug. He released me out of the hug. "Look, if I die..."

"I'll make sure that you'll have a good eulogy." I nod, tears still rolling down my face. "I'm proud of you Derek."

"I'm proud of you too kiddo." Derek said.

"I mean it. You helped save a lot of people." I say.

"So did you, and you had more to lose." Derek says softly. My phone buzzed, and I looked to see that Stiles texted me.

Flash!

"Kaelin's dead." Derek says, "She died saving her friends." Chris stood in front of him. I had watched from above, tears strolling down my cheeks. I would be watching over him. "She was the only thing keeping me together. The only thing that kept me and Peter- The two us close... I just-I can't. She didn't deserve this."

"You don't either." Chris sighed, "Allison came up with something. Nous protégeons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se protéger eux-mêmes." Chris felt horrible for Derek. "She would want us to."

Flash!

"Der, are you okay?" Kaelin asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine." Derek said.

Flash!

"What happened to my house? Where's my house? Where's my family?" Derek asked rapidly, "Where's my cousin?"

"All right, let's go. Now." Deputy Dick said, reaching for Derek's wrist.

"Just stay away from him." I ordered.

"What you going to do about it, huh brat?" Deputy Dick, "You gonna hurt me?"

"Haigh." Parrish warned.

"I would love more than to hurt you after you insulted me and literally anyone who has ever lost a family member in their life. But, I don't want to get arrested for assaulting an officer, even though the sheriff actually happens to be a father figure to me and he would've gotten me out of there." I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Is that a threat?" Deputy Dick asked.

"I don't know, is it?" I shot back, "If you see me as a threat, I wonder what you see as a criminal." I looked over to Derek who was watching me curiously.

"All right, you're coming with me." Deputy Dick said as he reached to grab my wrist. I looked at him with disbelief and utter hate. I couldn't believe him.

"Haigh, stop it." Parrish ordered. I pulled my wrist out of his grip, but he kept trying to grab it like some sort of asshole. Which he was. He was an asshole. Derek suddenly grabbed Deputy Dick's wrist.

"Leave. Her. Alone." Derek hissed. I could see his animal side taking over. Derek didn't have control then? That makes sense.

"Hold on, just take it easy." Parrish started. Deputy Dick suddenly brought out his taser which started scaring Derek.

"You're going to be okay." I assured Derek who didn't look certain. "You're going to be okay."

Flash!

"You may not even remember this even happening." I said, "When you get your memories back. I can't wait to see you again. The Old Derek, because I haven't seen him in a month and I saw him fight the oni and I saw him nearly die. The Old Derek, my Derek... He is one of the only people that I can truly trust. Of course, I can trust Lydia, Stiles, and Scott... But, Derek. He's different. You're different. I know that no matter what, he would never leave me. That he would never- That I can trust him, that when it comes to Kate, that when it comes to her wanting us dead... That I won't be alone. That I'll have that person who knows how it feels to lose their family. To have my cousin." Tears were rolling down her cheeks. "Stiles, Scott, and Lydia may be the closest thing that I have to family... But, Derek, you're my cousin. You may not believe that. You may not believe anything that I'm saying and I'm alright with that, because if I know that telling you this is the only reason that you'll survive Kate and whatever she wants to do with you then I'll be happy. You may never see me again, you may choose to never see me again and I'll just be happy that you're alive. I can not lose anyone else."

Flash!

"You are worth more than you know, Kaelin." Kate said, "I get the whole McCall pack just wanting you safe and sound. I have Derek. You are Derek's weakness. Derek doesn't have a lot of weaknesses." Kaelin looked down. "I remember as a kid. Derek loved you. He treasured you. He still does, actually. The only way that I can get to him is by using you."

"So, you wanna get to him? Is that what you want?" Kaelin snapped, "Really? After all of these years you still couldn't get over the fact that he was one of the best men that you could've ever met? You used him and burned his family alive, my family alive... He will never do anything for you."

Flash!

(Not a memory, but I just thought this was cute-A/N)

"Derek, this is your cousin, Kaelin." Jasmine said as she handed baby Kaelin over to Derek. "I'll need you to watch out for her. Can you do that?"

Derek nodded. He stared at the baby in shock as she giggled.

Flash!

I fell limp onto the ground. The last thing I remembered was reading Derek's letter.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

I walked into the library, blood dripping down the back of my neck. I walked over to realize that Scott was on the ground. He's dead. I rushed over to his side before trying to force my blood down his throat. Tears were rolling down my cheeks rapidly. He couldn't be dead. He couldn't be. Before I knew it, Melissa rushed into the room. He can't be dead! "NO! NO! SCOTTIE! SCOTTIE! WAKE UP! I know that we had a fight, a terrible one... But that doesn't mean that I want you to die. He wouldn't want to die and I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for the fight that we had. I was wrong. SO YOU BETTER WAKE UP!"

"WAKE UP! SCOTTIE! WAKE UP!" I exclaim, "WE CAN'T LOSE YOU! I CAN'T LOSE YOU!" I lost him, I lost my brother. "Come on Scottie! Come on! You've been through worse! You're stronger than this! You fought off my dad, the kanima, the Alpha pack, the oni, Void... Even Berserkers, god damn it. You can survive!"

"What happened? What happened to my son?" Melissa demands. I kept on shoving my blood into his mouth, hoping he'd drink it.

"He's not drinking it. He's not drinking it." I exclaim, crying. "He can't be dead. He's survived so much."

"My son is not dead, you hear me?" Melissa exclaims, "Scott is not dead. He's an Alpha, he's too strong to die like this. Come on. Open your eyes, look at me. Look at us. Breathe, baby, breathe. You're too strong to die like this. You're an Alpha, come on Scott. Roar." Memories came back, all of them. They flashed in my eyes. Everything we've been through, everything good and bad. I can't lose him. Not him, not my brother. Not anyone else.

"SCOTT WAKE UP! SCOTT!" I exclaim. "I can't lose you." I sobbed.

Scott's my brother. He's not dead. He can't be. Scott's a fighter, a survivor, just like me. He's just like me.

Scott's P.O.V

The last thing I remembered was hearing Kaelin's scream before I fell onto the floor. Where was I?

"Hi." Aiden said and I looked at him in shock. "You're probably wondering what you're doing here."

"How am I here?" I asked, "Am I dead? Am I alive?"

"Oh! And you were doing so well." Aiden sighed.

He was acting like Kaelin. Why was he acting like Kaelin?

"Look, I was confused when I first got here too, but Kaelin helped me." Aiden said.

"Kaelin?" I said, "What does she have to do with this?"

"She died, Scott." Aiden said, "And she came here."

A woman appeared beside Aiden and turned to look at me in realization. "Scott. You're Scott." She smiled.

"Scott, this is Kaelin's mother, Jasmine." Aiden said.

Jasmine stepped forward before bringing me into a tight hug. "I would say it's nice to meet you, but considering what got you here..." Jasmine sighed.

"You're Kaelin's mother?" I said in shock.

"The one and only." Jasmine said, "I don't appreciate how you've been treating my daughter."

"I don't either." Aiden nodded.

"She lied to me." I declared, "I didn't do anything wrong."

Jasmine glared at him. "I thought you were better than that. I've watched Kaelin live her life and you being a big part of it. I never imagined that you would turn out like this." Jasmine walked away angrily and I stared at her in shock.

Aiden glared at me. "This may be something that you may never understand, but Jasmine waited Kaelin's entire life to finally be with her... They could only be together for a few weeks before you tore Kaelin away from her. Now we can never see her again."

"I-I never meant for that to happen." I stated, "I never meant for any of you to get hurt."

"What you don't realize is that Kaelin, she helps keep everything at peace." Aiden said, "She tries so hard to make sure that everything is alright because if she doesn't she's going to explode. Without Kaelin, your pack would've fallen apart a long time before Theo came."

"Even if I apologized, she wouldn't forgive me." I said.

"See for yourself." Aiden nodded. I looked to see where he was pointing and I saw Kaelin sobbing above my dead body.

'I need you, Scottie, and I am so sorry for lying to you. I should've told you. Both of us should. I was scared, I was scared that if we told you then the two of you would lose each other and I-I can't bear to watch that.' Kaelin sobbed, 'I can't bear to lose another family. So, you better wake up because I need you. Because we all need you.'

I stood there in shock.

"You can go back to her." Aiden said, "But at least give me a hug first."

I brought him into a hug. Aiden smiled into it. He let me out of the hug. "Tell Ethan and Kaelin that I love them." I smiled sadly. How could Aiden survive this? How could he do this?

"What am I supposed to do?" I asked.

A gush of wind appeared and I noticed a portal forming. "That'll take your soul back to your body." Aiden nodded. "It'll work." Aiden grabbed my arm before I left. "Kick Theo's ass for me." I nodded.

I started to walk towards the portal. "Hey McCall!" Someone else yelled. I turned around to see that it was Boyd and Erica. "Take care of her!" I nodded.

I stepped into the portal.

Everything flashed before my eyes.

It was actually everything.

My whole life, everything that made me me flashed before my eyes. Everything that I've been through, Kaelin was always there for me and just because she made a mistake, I hurt her. I've been taking her for granted all of this time when really I will always need her. She was just protecting Stiles... She couldn't bear to lose somebody else. Kaelin stood by my side even though I wasn't listening to what she had to say. Even though I didn't acknowledge her. She still stayed because she sets an example for everyone else. She still stayed because she loves me and I didn't show how much I love her back. I didn't show that to Stiles either. This entire time I was believing in Theo who betrayed us, when I should've really believed in them.

I fluttered my eyes open and I roared.

I roared with everything I had.

I was back.

I'm alive.
