I made my way to the school wearing this:

Stiles and Malia looked to be in deep conversation as I walked up to them. I stood next to Malia as I looked at Stiles in confusion.

"I mean I see why you're worried. He's hot, he's got like great hair, perfect body. You should definitely feel threatened." Malia remarked.

"I do now." Stiles said, "More than ever."

"What's up with you, Lia?" I gasped, "Are you cheating on Stiles?" Malia shook her head furiously.

"No. Of course not. I would never do that." Malia said, "What would give you that idea?"

"I don't know." I said, "Maybe because you just called someone other than your boyfriend perfect."

"Thank you." Stiles said to me.

"You're welcome." I replied back as I held my hands on my hips.

"He was talking about Theo, alright?" Malia sighed.

"And about how he doesn't trust him?" I said, "Trust me. I've heard about it." I shook my head.

"Besides I think he has his eyes set out on someone else." Malia smirked, she looked at me causing Stiles to gag.

"What are you even wearing right now?" Stiles said as he looked at me.

"Clothes?" I said confused.

Stiles groaned as his eyes set on Theo who had got out of his car and waved at us. I waved back smiling and he smiled back.

"Well, see you guys later." I sighed, "I got to grab something from my locker." I looked over to Malia. "We still on for tonight?"

"You know it." Malia smiled and Stiles looked in between the two of us confused.

"What?" Stiles said, "What is going on tonight?"

"Something for me to know and for you to dot dot dot." I smirked as I made my way into the school.

I swung my locker door open before grabbing my AP Biology book. I closed my locker door and suddenly realized Theo was there.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, "What the hell? Don't do that!"

"Sorry." Theo apologized.

"It's okay." I shrugged it off, "Just never do it again."

"I was just wondering if you could show me to AP Biology?" Theo said, he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. I lifted an eyebrow at him. "I asked Stiles, but he just ignored me."

"Sounds like him." I said, "Well lucky for you, I have that class next." Theo looked down at the book in my hands.

"Yeah, I figured." Theo smiled.

"Well, come on." I said as I started walking towards the classroom. I turned around to see him and smiled happily. "I can't wait to see Lydia's face when she realizes Scott is in this class too."

Theo smiles fondly before following behind me. I entered the class before sitting down next to Scott. Lydia sent me a look as if she was questioning why Scott was here. Lydia sent a questioning look to Kira. I had placed the AP book on the desk which contained all my highlights and notes that I had done over the summer.

"Scott? Are you in the right class?" Lydia asked him.

"AP Biology." Scott smiled.

"Do you know what AP stands for?" Lydia asked him.

"Advanced Placement." Scott said as he revealed all the work he did.

"My little brother's all grown up." I said proudly. Scott glared at me playfully.

"Welcome to AP Biology. Let's see who's awake." Ms. Finch said as she walked inside the classroom. "Can somebody tell me what plasmids are?" Ms. Finch asked the class.

"Circular, self-replicating DNA molecules often used in cloning proteins." Lydia answered with no effort as she looked through the AP book.

"Nicely stated, Lydia. Now, can you tell me what vitamin is absorbed in the stomach via parietal cell production of a glycoprotein?" Ms. Finch asked her.

"Uh..." Lydia said.

"B-12." I answered.

"Thank you, Kaelin." Ms. Finch said.

Lydia sent me a 'thank you' look.

"Mr. McCall, did you know the answer?" Ms. Finch asked.

"Uh, no." Scott said confused.

"It's a common test question. What's your number one college pick?" Ms. Finch said.

"Um-" Scott said, causing me to elbow him.

"Stop saying 'um.'" Ms. Finch said.

"Sorry, U.C. Davis." Scott said.

"Good choice. It's the best school on the West Coast for biological and physical sciences. You're in the right class if that's what you're hoping for." Ms. Finch said, "Who else thinks they're in the right class?"

I slowly raised my hand, causing the rest of the class to do so as well.

"Good. Then you should all be prepared for the test tomorrow." Ms. Finch said, causing everyone to groan in annoyance. "Don't be so disappointed. This test is specifically to help you determine whether you should actually be in AP Biology. You have two weeks to drop. Tomorrow's test will just weed out the ones who shouldn't be here. And that could be any of you." Ms. Finch looked at Scott specifically.

After, a long and annoying class of saying which cell was which, the bell rang and Scott bolted out of the classroom. Lydia looked over to me.

"I got this one." I said.

I walked out to see Scott struggling with his locker. I let out a sigh.

"You're gonna do great Scott." I assured him.

"Really? Because I couldn't even answer that simple question." Scott snapped.

"I don't even know where I'm going, Scott." I said.

"That's different." Scott said, "You're immortal."

"Scott, you've worked so hard for this." I said, "Don't back down now."

"I'm already failing." Scott said.

"Really?" I said, "Because the way I see it that the only way you fail is if you stop trying."

"Hey!" Stiles exclaimed as he rushed up to the two of them.

"What's up?" I said annoyed, "Is Malia drooling over deer again?"

"You. You're coming with us. Come on." Stiles said to Scott and I.

"I've got a free period." I said annoyed.

"Same." Scott added.

"So do I and so does Theo Raeken. Let's go." Stiles said.

"What's your obsession with him, anyway?" I asked annoyed, "He wants to be part of some badass pack, get over it."

"Are you coming or not?" Stiles said annoyed, he rolled his eyes at me.

"Can't." I said, "I'm signing up for cross country again. Which means I have to go talk to Coach."

"Cross country over suspicious guy? Seriously?" Stiles said annoyed.

"I would rather talk to Coach then break the law." I said as I walked away. "Have fun."

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

I stood in Coach's office as I handed him the sign up paper.

"So you want to rejoin the team?" Coach repeated as he looked down at the paper.

"I've had a rough year." I remarked.

"I heard." Coach said unamused.

I really should've thought this through.

"Was it really true?" Coach said.

"Was what true?" I asked.

"Did you really die?" Coach asked.

"Yes." I said sarcastically, "But only on the inside."

"You're back on the team." Coach said, "I really need some help in bringing down Greenberg."

"It's always Greenberg." I agreed.

"See you at practice." Coach said, "And tell McCall next time to not bring his girlfriend to Mexico on a date."

"Yes, Coach." I said.

I walked out of Coach's office to bump into Theo yet again.

"So sorry." I apologized as I went to grab the books that I dropped onto the ground. Theo had went to help me. I had reached to grab a book, but Theo had already reached for it. Our hands collided and my hand landed on his. His eyes lifted up to look into mine, but I swiftly moved my hand away and grabbed up the rest of my books. "Thanks." Theo had handed me a book.

"No problem." Theo smiled, "Gone With the Wind. Nice choice." I looked at him confused and he nodded to one of the books I was holding in my hands.

"Yeah." I nodded, "It's long, but I tend to enjoy it."

"Look." Theo said nervously, "I was just wondering if you would like to go somewhere with me." I looked at him confused. "Not like a date. Not like that. There's just this place that I've been meaning to go to."

"What place?" I asked curiously.

"It's where my sister died." Theo stated simply.

"Oh." I stated.

"It's just that I want to go there to honor her. To remember her, you know?" Theo said.

"Why do you think I'd know?" I said confused.

"You lost your family and you know how it feels." Theo said, "What I'm saying is, I don't want to go there alone."

"Sure." I replied, "I wouldn't want to go alone either."

"Thank you." Theo said, smiling softly.

"Of course." I replied. I pulled out a scrap of paper and grabbed my pen. I quickly scribbled my number on it. "Here's my number. If you need anyone to talk to, call me." Theo smiled softly down at the paper before he nodded.

"Will do." Theo said.

"Kaelin!" Stiles called as he ran up to me. He glared at Theo before pulling on my arm. "I thought you were talking to Coach about getting back on the team.

"I was." I informed him, "I'm on the team." I laughed. "Coach was grateful to have someone other then Greenberg on the team." I explained.

"It's more that he likes how you beat him, every time." Stiles corrected. Stiles turned around to glare at Theo. Theo looked at him nervously.

"What's with your attitude towards him?" I said to Stiles, "It's not like he's going to pull an Anakin."

"I found something." Stiles stated in a hushed tone, "Meet me in the library." Stiles looked at me annoyed before he walked off. "Also, never use Star Wars against me."

I looked over to Theo nervously. "I've got to go." I said.

I ran over to the library, following after Stiles.

"I DON'T NEED YOU!" Stiles hissed at Scott. "I DON'T NEED ANY OF YOU!" Stiles hissed pointed at everyone at the table. Lydia, Kira, Malia, and Scott were there studying and looked at Stiles in shock.

Stiles then walked past me before pulling me away with him.

"What's going on?" I asked him hesitantly, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Stiles snapped.

"Hey, it's okay, Stiles." I said, "I believe you." Stiles looked up at me shocked. "Theo may be nice, but he is a little suspicious. I'll check him out with you."

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

We made our way out into the forest, because Stiles found this suspicious. He could be out going on a run or something like I do.

"I told you he was up to something!" Stiles exclaimed.

"We just spent three hours watching this dude play video games." Liam complained, "He better be out here covering a mass murder."

"Let's just get this over with." I said annoyed, "Do you have his scent?" I turned to Liam.

"Don't need it." Liam shrugged before he suddenly stopped.

"Well, that didn't sound stalker-ish at all. What's wrong?" I asked.

"I forgot I was going to meet Anna at her house today." Liam said.

"Why didn't you tell her you were going to be with us?" I asked him.

"I didn't know we'd be out here that long." Liam defended.

"Just tell her that I'm helping you control your anger by using the Hale tactics or something." I offered.

"Today's the day, Kae." Liam declared, "It was the day that I was supposed to have dinner with her and her dad. Now her dad's going to hate me." Liam groaned annoyed.

"Why does it matter?" Stiles said, "You're dating someone else anyways."

"I'm not-" Liam had suddenly stopped talking. I looked down to realize that he fell in a hole.

"There he is." Stiles said as his eyes set on Theo. He looked back down on Liam. "Hurry up, stop screwing around." Stiles then ran after Theo.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I'm fine." Liam nodded as he got out of the hole.

The two of us caught up with Stiles and hid in a bush where we had a perfect sight of Theo. Theo was standing over a bridge and holding something in his hands.

"Try and get his scent." Stiles hissed towards the two of us.

"I don't do that type of thing." I hissed back. I looked over to Liam. "Get anything?"

"Soap. Its nice." Liam said.

"Not just soap." Stiles said, "His emotional state, chemosignals, remember?"

"Okay yeah." Liam said as he concentrated on Theo. "He's sad."

"Oh my god." I gasped in disbelief.

"Well it's more like grief." Liam remarked.

"Grief?" Stiles asked.

Theo had placed a white flower over on the bridge.

"Guys, we have to go!" I hissed at them.

"What? Why?" Liam objected.

"This is the bridge where they found his sister." I informed the two of them.

"What sister?" Liam asked.

"The one that got lost and died of exposure." I said, "Come on. We're leaving. Now."

I pulled the two of them away from Theo, before my phone suddenly rang, and Stiles hissed at me.

"Turn it off." Stiles hissed.

"I'm trying." I grabbed my phone and took it out before I turned it off.

I quickly looked back up to see Theo standing in front of me, in front of us.

"What the hell? I told you not to do that!" I hissed at him.

Theo smiled apologetically. "Sorry." He apologizes.

Theo looked behind me to realize Stiles and Liam were there glaring at him.

"What are you guys doing?" Theo asked, directed towards me, causing Liam to growl. The two of us were close friends, he was like a little brother to me. "Whoa, why do I feel this kid's tougher than he looks?" Theo said as he looked over at Liam.

"Only when we let him off of his leash." Stiles said, threatening Theo.

"Stiles we were in little league together, why are you so suspicious of me?" Theo asked curiously as he looked at Stiles.

"Because of these." Stiles said as he showed Theo some papers. "One's a speeding ticket signed by your dad eight years ago. The other's a signature on a transfer form from Beacon Hills." Stiles concluded, "They're different."

"Huh." Theo said as he inspected the papers, "I guess they're a little different."

"No." Stiles snapped, "They're completely different. Signed by two different people."

Theo laughed. "So my dad's not my dad? He's an imposter?"

"Something like that." Stiles said unafraid, but I still stood in front of him for protection.

"And who do you think I am?" Theo hissed.

"We don't know yet." Liam said through his gritted teeth.

"You want me to give you a DNA sample or something?" Theo asked.

"No. I don't have anything from fourth grade to match it too." Stiles said.

"Really, Kaelin?" Theo said sadly, "You believe this too?"

I crossed my hands over my chest. "Maybe. I've learned that Stiles is usually right about things." I said.

"You know Stiles." Theo said, "I came back here for Scott here. But I also came back here for someone like you, someone who's willing to walk into the woods at night to protect his friends." Theo looked at me. "And you, Kaelin, despite whatever is going on, you'll still protect them and fight for them." Theo looked at the three of us sadly. "I don't have anyone like that, but Scott does, you all do. I know I'm in the right place, I was meant to be here. I'm meant to be a part of this pack."

Theo turned around before leaving. I let out a sigh of relief as we made our way back to Stiles' car, Roscoe. Scott was there with his motorcycle.

"Find anything?" Scott asked.

"I fell in a hole." Liam smiled.

I smiled over at Liam.

"You're innocent, Li." I smiled as I patted his shoulder. "Stay that way."

Stiles got into his jeep and tried to turn it on, but it didn't work. Stiles then got out of the car and began to inspect the trunk. "Liam do me a favor, get in the car and turn on the ignition when I say." Stiles said.

Liam nodded before getting into the car.

"Stiles?" Scott asked.

"Be with you in a sec." Stiles said before he looked up to Liam. "Try it."

Liam tried to start the car again, but it didn't work and Scott called out for Stiles again.

"Yes. Okay? We followed how out here. What do you want me to say? That I'm paranoid? That I'm entirely crazy, that I'm a stalker? None of this is new information." Stiles snapped.

"Now you're at least going to try to give him the benefit of the doubt, right?" Scott asked.

"I give a lot of people the benefit of the doubt. I give everyone the benefit, okay?" Stiles hissed at Scott.

The two of them faced each other.

"Like Derek? Kira? Liam? Kaelin?" Scott said.

"Keep me out of this." I ordered.

"Why?" Scott said, "Because you'd be on my side?"

"I didn't say that." I shook my head. Stiles gasped.

"You know what happened with Peter, Kaelin. I won't let that happen again." Stiles said.

"Yeah." I said, "You're right. I do. I remember how he lied to me. How he worked with the monster that burned my family alive. I remember that, Stiles. I remember almost dying. She was going to kill me." I looked over to Scott. "And you, I know that you didn't have any control, but I tried to get to you. I tried to get you to stand down, but you didn't. You left me there to die." I looked over to Stiles. "Stiles saved me." I looked at Stiles. "You saved me Stiles, and not just from that, from losing my humanity. You saved me. Both of you did." I looked over to Stiles. "I agree with you, Stiles. That he may be suspicious, someone popping into Beacon Hills wanting to be a part of the pack. I understand. But like you said, we don't know what's coming next, and we may need all the help we can get."

"Listen to Kae, Stiles." Scott said.

"I do." Stiles snapped, "I always do, Scott." He glared at Scott. "I understand why she thinks that way, because she's scared of dying again." I flinched. "But I was right about her father, I was right about Peter. You know I bet you two still think there's still something about him that can be saved."

"Anybody capable of love is capable of change." I said sadly.

"He never loved you!" Stiles snapped, "Maybe some dark piece of him did. But he stopped having emotions a long time ago." I flinched at this before stepping back.

"Why can't you trust anyone?" Scott said as he glared at his best friend.

"Because you two trust everyone!" Stiles said as he banged his fist on the jeep causing Liam to jump. I felt terrible that he had to see this.

Stiles held his hand as if he was trying to contain the pain. We could see it immediately in his expression. I rushed to his side immediately, ignoring what he had said before.

"Are you okay?" Scott asked.

"I'm fine." Stiles snapped.

"You could've broken it." Scott said.

"It's not broken." Stiles refused.

Scott grabbed his hand, but Stiles flinched at his touch. I looked over to Scott.

"I'll drive him home." I said. I grabbed Stiles' arm before pulling away. Liam had moved into the back and I sat up front. I bit into my arm before holding it out to Stiles. "Here. It'll heal your hand." Stiles refused it. "Stiles." I warned. Liam watched from the back surprised. Stiles sighed reluctantly, knowing that he couldn't argue with me. He picked up my arm before drinking some of my blood so he could heal. He put my arm back down and I started the car. I was the only person he trusted with driving Roscoe.

I had dropped Liam off at the gym before driving off and brought the car to a stop in front of his house. Stiles was about to exit the car, but I stopped him immediately.

"We need to talk." I said.

"I'm sorry, Kae." Stiles sighed, "I shouldn't of said any of that stuff."

"No, it's alright." I said, "It's the truth anyway. Peter never loved me." I sighed. "I mean he probably did when I was younger, but he doesn't now."

"I know you don't want to choose sides, but I think you'll have to." Stiles sighed.

"I am not choosing sides over such a dumb fight." I said, "You guys always fight and make up. It's probably just going to be like that again."

"Not this time, Kae." Stiles said, "Not this time."

I sighed. "I don't believe that." I said.

"I know you don't." Stiles smiled, "I'm sorry, Lin. I really am."
