i ate my popcorn awkwardly beside tommy.
"what are we?"
"what?"
"i mean, i like you.. you like me. what are we?" he asked as we made eye contact.
i was about to respond when a voice spoke.
"WHAT IS UP MOTHERFUCKERS!" wilbur shouted as he walked in through the door. we both looked over to see wilbur in the doorway, sam behind him and phil simply laughing while pushing past wilbur to get in.
"tubbo's taking a shower." tommy spoke as he stood up from my bed.
i waved to sam as he waved back.
phil and wilbur settled down in their own side of the hotel room while sam had sat near my bed. he gave me a water bottle and i accepted it.
"hey, let's watch a movie?" phil spoke as i nodded. everyone else agreed as well before we looked through the channels that the television would play.
which is where we were now.
watching some random film that phil and sam seemed to enjoy, tubbo had been calling ranboo since he got out the shower. wilbur had dragged tommy and i to watch the movie, although he wasn't watching it. he insisted of making proper food.
i avoided all interactions with tommy because i didn't want to face the fact i had to answer his question eventually.
what are we?
i had no clue, sure we liked each other but how would everyone around us react?
how would it work out? we live so far from each other that it wouldn't work out.
we've remained this long as friends.

"youre so fucking slow." tommy groaned as he stopped to turn and look at me.
"shut up, i can walk whichever speed i want." i replied as he laughed softly. he shook his head and grabbed my hand before pulling me closer to where he stood.
"there, now you won't be behind." he muttered as he continued walking. i followed behind him as i felt my face warm up.
he continued to walk as i struggled to follow behind him.
"where are we even going?" i asked with a sigh as he turned to face me.
"you'll see if you can stay patient for once." he spoke as i furrowed my brows.
"men are so confusing." i mumbled as he laughed.

"and, here we are. will you stop complaining now?" he asked as i noticed we were at a huge field.
"what are we even here for?" i asked as he let go of my hand.
"are you not appreciative of the fact that i decided to spend time with you instead of snapchatting very hot women?" he asked as i laughed.
"no not really, now i can't snapchat the very hot men and i'll lose my streaks." i replied as he turned to look at me.
"WHAT?" he asked as he burst out laughing.
"what?" i asked as he shook his head while he laughed.
"anyways, let's take another picture, yeah?" he asked as i nodded.
"uh, sure." i spoke as he found a nice small hill to prop up his phone on.
he turned on the timer before pulling me over. his phone flashed for a split second before we saw our reflection again. he grabbed his phone with his right hand and grabbed my hand with his left hand.
i followed him before he pulled me down to sit in a random spot. we faced the sunset as he looked at me.
"you know, i have no clue how any of this works. i had to ask wilbur what girls like." he spoke as i laughed.
"i thought you knew me well enough." i joked with him as he turned to watch the sunset.
"i do, but women are confusing sometimes. especially you." he argued as i shook my head. "anyways, since we both like each other, you liking me more obviously, will you be my valentine? or however it goes." he spoke softly as i turned to face him.
"sure." i smiled as he smiled with a small laugh.
"i knew you would say yes." he said as he looked at me.
"shut the fuck up." i replied as he smiled even wider.

i laid in bed as everyone around me had fallen asleep, including tommy himself.
music played softly through my headphones as i stared at the ceiling.
my mind wandering back to the memories that i had already made with tommy, no doubt that i would cherish them forever.
tommy kept his online persona throughout the time we had spent together, but in the rare occasion of him being his usual, calm self, he had managed to open up to me.
i opened instagram.
