i sat at the mall with my friends as we were eating ice cream.

"sooo, you and tommy huh? you seem pretty close outside the game." my friend, emmy, asked. i blushed as i shook my head.

"we're just friends." i said as i awkwardly laughed.

"uh huh.. sure. seems like you guys like each other.." my other friend, andrew, winked.

"we don't! we're just friends who happen to like each other in a role play." i said as i looked up from my phone.

"sure, who are you texting?" emmy asked as i glared at her.

"tommy.."

"see." she smiled as i sighed.

"just because i'm texting him doesn't mean i like him!" i said as i kept texting tommy.

i looked up as i felt my phone vibrate, i ignored his text.

i do like him.

"you're texting him right now about this aren't you?" emmy teased as i blushed even more.

"no i'm not!" i argued as she finished her ice cream. i finished mine not long after, then andrew did too.

we were walking around before i felt the urge to pee.

"can you guys hold my stuff, i need to pee really bad"

"yeah, give me it." emmy said as i gave them my bag and sweater, i rushed to the bathroom as i reached into my pocket for my phone.

'ah fuck. i left my phone in my bag.'

i did my business and washed my hands as quick as possible, i walked back to my friends as i saw them standing awkwardly.

"here's your stuff." andrew said with a smile on his face. i thanked him as i put on my sweater and took my phone out my bag to put it in my pocket.

i held my bag as we went into more stores.

- small time skip to an hour later -

"ah man. my moms coming to pick us up." emmy said as i frowned. we were in the middle of playing arcade games.

"is she here yet?" andrew asked as we looked at emmy.

"yeah she said she's parking right now." she said as we all frowned.

we started walking out as i took out my phone.

i saw tommy texted me.
