The notorious love story started with mutual friends at nineteen
When she was writing poems, movie scripts, deep stories and dreaming for popularity
He was in the "Dust Bowl" in poverty while she was getting married in the age of fifteen
She decided to leave her husband that was actually a cheat and full of disloyalty.

Flash forward, was the man of her dreams spend his time in a cell
She rescued him by smuggling a firearm through the prison and all is well
But the second time was a living hell, sexual assaults and bullying where he dwell
At some time he left the living hell and met again the woman where his heart fell.

After a year she moved in with him, with his brother and his wife with a sad fifth seat
They were robbing banks, cracking safes, stealing cars and making a name
Until in April 13, 1933, the infamous unlucky number ruined the feast
People discovered her poems and photographs that brought her to fame.

One time she almost lost a leg and couldn't barely walk
She was later sent to a farm and so that the wounds won't caulk
They tried to rob a bank but it didn't go well so they need to balk
Afterwards they went to The Red Town Tavern where they sat and talk.

But this where the gang fell apart, they where surrounded by armored cars
Two of the Barrow Gang died all through the way even they tried all their might
They managed to escape in their getaway car but didn't get too far
One separated from them and got arrested, now they're alone in the fight.

The partners in crime became a trio, recruited Henry Methvin that later killed two
The media made the heroes, villains in the game of chess that they were winning through
They twisted statements, made Bonnie the maniac they've been wanting to show
But the gruesome ending has started in the 23rd of May in 1934.

The posse settled up a roadblock in the Louisiana State Highway
The couple was supposed to go to Henry's father for a swift getaway
But the man was forced to set them up in the middle of the highway and wait
To make it looks like he has broken down his car and needed help right away.

As soon as they stopped by to help it rained fire and it was all too late
Hundreds of bullets that the famous Ford V8 getaway couldn't ricochet
They wanted to be buried side by side but Bonnie's parents didn't want that case scenario
One lived, enough to witness their story again in a movie while in a prison cell though.

Thousands of people who admired and hated them attended their funeral in hindsight
A woman fell in love with a criminal and followed his side even though he wasn't right
Shows that Harley and The Joker is nothing how lovers in crime in real life bring a fight
I guess the phrase "till death do us part" is shown when they died together hugged tight.
