We are the runaways, love that has been damned but still fight no matter what they say
No one knows how many miles or kilometers we traveled so far
But when I saw you holding your bags in the middle of the night is a woman with bravery
But let me question you one more time "Are you ready to leave everything behind for us?"

Tears crossed to the kitchen when I was sneaking with my bags to see you
The family's black sheep will be free at last from the expectations and explanations
A family full of dreams and professionals doesn't have a place for a girl like me.

It hurts when you don't get the pity you deserve...

From the beach like Miami, ran through the country to Texas and Tennessee
If my love for you was a dollar, all I have is quarters and pennies
But we are in The Philippines, love and care don't cost much money
My pocket only has one hundred fifty pesos from the streets last night
I'm sorry honey, I needed money so bad and I called the nearest dirty bank in sight.

We are the runaways who are alone and frightened at the first night
No family, no money, no connections and all we got is sacks and bags
Full of clothes, bills, debts, doubts, and problems with regrets
But I trust you so much my man, please continue to support the stupid plan and its going to be alright.

I'll just buy some cakes and pastries and I'll be back at the stop...

The stop was terrible, we almost got lost in so much confusion and judging looks
We rode the wrong bus and ended up in a different place
It was a regret at first but it was destiny who helped us to unpack
Someone is kind enough to give us our own shack, and put the snack at the table
From a family of entrepreneurs became farmers in the apex of the sun.

From riches to rags wasn't so bad at all, from the richest girl to the happiest country girl
Family status never bothered me anymore, all I want is to survive in the sun
Even though the skin perfect face became a chocolate shade through labor
I was happy that I am doing what I love with the man I have always loved
The outcasts of the family was never found ever since, nobody bothered to find us
I gave all my love to my four lovely children, Aurora, Artemio, Jack and Raven was the greatest gift from the sun.

Living together in a new town with Apollo made my life, calling me honey, grown up kids calling me mama instead of mommy
And neighbors calling me Sunshine like yesterday was dark as the past
This is me Sunshine with Apollo and the kids. Your unacceptable grandkids are happy, living peacefully.
