I know it's hard to be alone, you thought love could be so simple and unknown
Like living with dwarfs in an old cabin and having animals as goons
You always want to bite a poison apple to die and be kissed by a prince
But you didn't think it through that your mother-in-law is a wicked witch.

You thought that living in a fairytale was fun
Remember Cinderella's real parents are gone
And having an Evil Stepmother and two sisters like it's a foursome
And going to a ball with a curfew and being afraid of numbers like two and one.

Love isn't easy like watching movies in empty seats
Like living in a castle and falling in love with a beast
Having a mentally ill suitor, that wants to make the beast their feast
And being kidnapped in a castle full of books and living antiques.

And you can't find a prince by pricking your finger and falling asleep
And having a winged creature as a fairy godmother at the least
And cursing your only goddaughter when she turns into sixteen
And expecting reality like in fairytales and movies always makes me sick.
