A/N : This is a side story. I wanted to do something for Kageyama's Birthday so here we go~ 

December 22nd : 

Today's finally the day. You've been planning this for weeks with the team but you also had a little surprise on your own. It was truly hard...finding the perfect present for Kageyama but you finally got an idea while daydreaming in class last week. ( I'm very guilty of this lol ) 

It was about 3 pm when you got a text from Sugawara. 

' Y/n-san, are you ready? ' 

' Yes I'm ready. I'll be there soon ' 

You got ready for the surprise party and dialed Kageyama's number. 

' Oi bakayama, can you accompany me to a cafe? There's this really cute cafe that I've been wanting to try but no one would come along with me ' 

' Why should I do that boke? I'm busy practicing. ' 

' Well if you're busy, I guess I'll go with Tooru. I hope he's free. ' you sighed.

' W-wait...I-I'll come along ' 

' But you said you're busy '

' I-t's fine boke! I'm not busy. Shut up and wait for me ' 

' Then, can I wait for you at your place? ' 

' Sure. I'll text you my address ' 

After a few seconds, Kageyama texted you his address and you made your way to his place. You arrived a few minutes later and a beautiful girl with short hair opened the door for you. 

' You must be Y/n-chan. Tobio told me you'd come. I'm Miwa, Kageyama's sister ' 

' A-ah, nice to meet you, Miwa-san ' you bowed.

She let you in and motioned you to sat down. ' Make yourself at home. Tobio will be down in a few minutes ' 

' Tobio! It's not good to keep your girlfriend waiting! ' Miwa yelled aloud, making you blush. 

'I-I'm not his girlfriend ' you stuttered, making Miwa embarrassed from her mistake. 

' Shame, you guys would look good together though ' she recovered quickly and pouted. 

' Miwa..stop teasing Y/n ' Kageyama spoke out while coming down the stairs, his cheeks flushed with red.  

' Oh, you guys are so cute when you're all flustered ' she chuckled, shaking her head ' Now off you go! Enjoy your date! ' 

' I-it's not a date! ' Kageyama yelled back at his sister. You both walked silently for some time until Kageyama decided to ask about your humongous handbag. 

' Oi what are you carrying in that bag? You could kill a person with that' Kageyama eyed you suspiciously, thinking what you could be carrying. 

' O-oh it's nothing ' you averted his eye contact, breaking into cold sweat. 

' Well, you want me to carry it? It looks heavy ' he put out his hand. 

' No! It's fine ' you said tightening your grip around the bag unconsciously.  

' Alright whatever you say boke ' he ruffled your hair a bit while letting out a chuckle. You glared at him because now your hair is a mess. You spent over 30 minutes doing your hair and now it's a mess but well, it's his birthday so you decided to let it go. 

You both arrived at the cafe and to your surprise, Kageyama opened the door for you. 

' Your bag looked heavy ' he blushed slightly. You grinned at him and got inside. As soon as Kageyama got in, he was bombarded by his teammates. 

' HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAGEYAMA!!! ' all of the members yelled out loud. Kageyama stood there stunned and with lost for words. 

' T-thank you ' he blushed. Soon, all of you were chit-chatting and the café filled up with chatters. 

' Now it's time for the cake ' Sugawara said turning off the light while you brought out a vanilla flavored cake with candles from the back.  

' Happy Birthday to you.... ' you started singing and soon everyone joined along ' Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday dear Tobio......Happy Birthday to you ' 

Kageyama blew out the candles and started cutting the cake for everyone. Hinata and Nishnoya stuffed their cheeks with cake which made them look like chipmunks. Daichi was telling Kageyama how proud he is while Sugawara was holding 2 cups of water in case the two chipmunks start to choke on their food. 

You giggled and looked over at Kageyama who was also looking at you. You blushed slightly at the eye contact and grinned. He smiled back at you, making your heart fluttered in every way possible. 

Time passed and the party was wrapped up. The other team members gave Kageyama presents, before taking their leave, to which kageyama beamed like a little kid. Soon, only the two of you were left behind. 

' I'll help you carry them ' you said as you rushed over to Kageyama who was having a hard time picking up all the gifts. 

' Thank you for planning this ' he said blushing putting a hand to his nape. 

' It was nothing really ' you replied smiling, getting some of his presents from his hands.

' Suga-san told me all about it so no use in lying boke ' he said pinching your cheeks.

' Ow..Ow that hurts ' you yelled with a part of your cheeks red from getting pinched. You guys held eye contact for some time and after some seconds, you both started laughing uncontrollably. Soon, you arrived at his house. He set down his presents and walked you home. 

' Bakayama..here ' you said as you shoved your present into his hands. His eyes widened and sparkled as he peeked into the bag. It was a milk carton plushie and  a small keychain so he could strap it to his phone. You also included a handmade birthday card.

' T-thanks '

' You like it right? ' you asked raising a brow while grinning.

' M-maybe ' he replied earning a chuckle from you. 

' I know you love it. Byee! ' you waved goodbye.

' I didn't say I l-love it. Boke Y/n Boke! ' you heard him yell out as you closed the door. ' I guess he loved it ' you smiled to yourself.
