Chapter Fourteen : Friday

The next morning ~ 

You woke up at 7am in the morning and woke Hikari up. You both prepared for school, her mom making waffles for breakfast. 

' Mmmm these are good ' you said with your mouth half filled with waffles. 

' Yeah I know right. My mom has good cooking skills ' Hikari replied.

' Anyway, let's hurry or we'll be late for school ' you told Hikari as you put down your plate in the sink. Hikari shoveled down her waffles and you both walked to school.

At school~ 

' Oh right I have plans this evening. I need to tell Kiyoko-san that I'll not be joining practice today ' you told yourself as your seatmate sat down beside you. 

' Morning'  he said.

' Morning ' you yawned. 

' Who's the sleepy one now? ' his mouth curved up into a teasing smirk.

' Shut up, me and Hikari stayed up to watch anime ' you yawned again. 

*DING* a message popped up on your phone.

' Yahoo~ chibi-chan. We're meeting up today right? ' the text said.

' Yeah. See you after school Tooru '

' Great! See you soon chibi-chan ' he replied 2 seconds later your text was sent. After reading his text, you put your phone into your pocket again.

' Who was it? ' Kageyama asked.

' It was Tooru ' 

' HAAA?! You call Oikawa-san Tooru?! Wait-are you guys dating or something now? ' annoyance laced in his tone, you could swear he would explode any moment with all the fumes he's virtually emitting.

' No, no. It's nothing like that. He asked me to call him by his first name so I did. We're totally not dating!  ' you replied a bit flustered by his reaction. 

' What would he do if I said I liked Tooru? Would he be jealous? ' you thought until you slapped yourself mentally so you can focus.

' Ohhh I see. I got worried for a second ' Kageyama replied. 

' Worried? ' your curiousity spiked by his comment. 

' No..nothing. It's nothing. I didn't say I was worried. Why would I be worried? ' he replied frantically. His reply made you more curious but you decided not ask in case the answer might hurt your heart. 

After school~ 

As you make you way to the gym, you saw Kiyoko-san and the others walking.

' Hey guys! ' you called out and ran to catch up to them.

' Y/n-chan, you're not in your uniform today? ' Hinata asked. 

' Oh I have somewhere I have to go so can I skip practice today? ' you asked. 

' Sure. Where are you going ? ' Kiyoko asked.

' Oh Tooru said he wanted to hangout with me so I'm going to meet him 'you said. Everyone stared at you with wide eyes and their jaws dropped.

' I-is something wrong? ' you asked.

' Y/n-chan are you and the great king a thing? ' Hinata asked jumping up and down. Nishinoya and Tanaka looked like their souls got sucked out. 

' No, no. We're not a thing. He just asked me to hangout so I accepted ' you explained.

' Then what about the first name? ' Sugawara asked, his eyebrows wiggling.

' He asked me to call him Tooru ' you replied awkwardly. Suddenly, Nishinoya and Tanaka made faces like they just came back to life. You giggled at their actions.

' Thank god, I thought y/n-chan would be taken away from us by the great king ' Nishinoya said in relief. Tanaka nodded.

' But of course, I'm scared of you being taken away from me too Kiyoko-san ' Tanaka said while wrapping his arms around himself. Kiyoko ignored Tanaka and started walking towards the gym, away from Tanaka and Nishinoya. 

' Kiyoko-sann wait for uss ' they yelled as they ran to catch up to Kiyoko. 

' Have fun y/n-san but don't stay out too late. Get going now and don't worry about practice. I'll tell the coach ' Sugawara said with his mom mode activated. 

' Okay, thanks Suga-san ' you waved them goodbye and started walking towards the school gate.

' I think Oikawa-san like y/n ' Sugawara said as they arrived at the gym. Kageyama overheard the conversation and made a ' Tch ' 

As you walked your way to the school gate, a familiar voice called out to you.

' Chibi-chan I'm here ' he waved at you. All the girls at school were staring at you, and whispering to each other.

' When did you get here? ' you asked as you caught up to him. 

' Not too long ago ' he replied.

' Oh okay. So what's the plan? ' 

' What do you wanna do today chibi-chan? I would tell you my plan but I prioritize you more. ' he winked at you. You awkwardly smiled back. 

' I don't really know what I want to do but wanna go to the amusement park? ' you asked.

' Sure ' he replied and you two started walking to the train station together.
