Chapter Four : First fight

Time skip ~

You arrived at your house and slammed the door to your room. No one was home yet thankfully, so you avoided getting scolded by your mom. The tears started rolling down your cheeks uncontrollably as you let yourself fall onto the bed. The looks that your teammates gave you, especially Kageyama made you feel a piercing pain inside your chest.

' I don't want to cry over this any longer. I'm sure that my friends will be on my side even if the volleyball team and he is not. ' you brought yourself up to your feet again and huffed the heavy weight on your chest.

The next day ~

You arrived at school and the lecture began shortly after you. Beside you was Kageyama, the person you wanted to avoid most out of everyone. Your heart feels heavy but you didn't want to go out of your way just to avoid him. ' I'll just not talk to him ig, it feels weird ' After which seemed like eternity, the class ended. The next class began and the teacher told you to work in pairs with your seatmate.

' Oh for god's sake, this is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Especially today '  The words that he said yesterday were still stinging you even though you didn't want them to.

You raised you hand ' Can I please change partners? '. Your request seemed to bother Kageyama and unfortunately, you weren't allowed to change partners. Uncomfortable silence surrounded you two before Kageyama decided to broke it.

' Why did you do that to Yuno-san? ' his cold tone surprised you. 

' It wasn't me. It was her. ' you sighed, explaining. ' I don't expect him to believe me after what she pulled '  However, your partner seem to believe Yuno more. 

' Why are you lying? ' Kageyama's voice sounded more loud and cold. You looked at him in disbelief and scoffed.

' I'm lying? Why would I even lie to you when I don't have any reason to do so in the first place 'The conversation was getting heated up and you felt the burning anger replacing the stinging feeling in your chest.

' You clearly lied about being bullied when you were the one bullying Yuno-san '  a hint of anger laced his tone.

' Oh we're talking about lying now? What about "you" then? Talking about how you'd be on my side when you're not even willing to hear "my " side of the story ' you were on the verge of tears but you managed on hold them in. Kageyama didn't answer and silence surrounds you both once again.

' It was a mistake...telling you that and tossing to you ' he broke the silence with his harsh words . Hearing those words, you felt heaviness and pain in your heart.

' Do you regret tossing to me? ' you asked while looking at the ground. Your words carried pain but you coated it with anger. 

' I do and I never want to toss to you again ' he replied angrily. You looked at him, tears threatening to fall down your face.

' Wait that's not- '  he tried to explain after he realized what he said. However, it was too late as you ran out of the classroom without giving him a chance to explain himself. You shut yourself inside a toilet cubicle, letting out the tears that were threatening to fall. You leaned against the wall and cried. His words were hurting you more than anything, more than the fact that you were being bullied. 

Break time came along and you decided to head back to class. On the way, you also stopped by the Teacher's office to get the permit to switch seats with your friend Hikari. As the distance between the classroom and you got closer, your heart felt heavy and painful once again. 

' Y/n-chan where did you go? I was worried about you. ' your friend Hikari hugged you.

' Ah sorry, Hikari. I was just feeling sick. By the way, can you change seats with me? I already asked the teacher for permission but it's okay if you don't want to ' you smiled awkwardly. 

' You got into a fight with Kageyama-kun right?'  she questioned, you nodded.

' I'll change seats if you tell me everything ' Hikari announced proudly, leaving you with no choice to tell her everything.
