Chapter Twenty-Nine : Nationals

' Hey, look! It's the boys' volleyball team. You guys did amazing ' the whole school cheered as you guys walked through the front gate. 

' Hinata! Kageyama! You did well! ' a teacher passed by, praising them. 

' Thank you! ' they both bowed down. 

' We'll be there to cheer you guys tomorrow! You have to win okay? Do you best! ' all the students yelled out from their respective classrooms. 

' We will! ' Nishinoya yelled out grinning. 

' Guys!! The M-star Miyagi is about to start ' your former captain Michimiya yelled out. You hurried your way to the teacher's office to watch the news. 

' Heyyy why are they showing Aoba Johsai more when we're the one who won? ' Tanaka complained loudly followed by Hinata. You giggled at them ' It's only the semifinals. Now now let's focus on the headliner ' 

' Now we'll move on to the second semifinals match. This match was won by the crowd's favorite Shiratoriza High led by Wakatoshi Ushijima. This team has been crowned the champion for the last three years for the qualifiers. They'll be facing Karasuno High tomorrow in the finals. How will Karasuno High do against the powerhouse, Shiratorizawa High? ' 

' All right! Now that we're playing against Shiratorizawa you guys should know that in these last 3 years that Oikawa joined Aoba Johsai, they've never won against Shiratorizawa. ' Coach Ukai gathered everyone around. 

' Shiratorizawa will be stronger than you think. So no one would think that we could win against them. But we're gonna prove them wrong tomorrow ' you smiled                                       proudly. 

' Yeah! ' the boys cheered. 

' Now go back and get some rest! ' Coach Ukai dismissed the meeting and all of you started packing up your things to go home. As you were walking pass the gym, you noticed that the light was still on and that Kageyama and Hinata were practicing. 

' I thought so. Hinata! Kageyama! Time to go back! NOW ! ' you emphasized on the last word so they knew you were serious. You grabbed Kageyama's arm and dragged him towards his house. 

' Alright, alright I'm coming ' he finally gave in. You let go of his arm but he then grabbed your hand and intertwined it with his. 

' What are you doing?- ' you blushed. 

' This is for calling me Kageyama ' he said looking away so you wouldn't see his blush ' p-plus it's getting really late and dark, I just don't want you to trip over anything ' 

' Okay- ' you blushed as you both walked hand in hand back to your respective houses. 

The next morning~ 

You guys arrived at the gymnasium and Tanaka and Nishinoya had been yelling ' GUTS! ' all the way from the front door to the court. 

' Just shut up already! ' Daichi yelled at them and finally they did. 

It was now time for the finals to begin. You guys entered the gymnasium and you saw many banners and the cheering teams of both schools. Medals and the prizes were on display and the gym was filled with reporters and TV crews.

' Go go Karasuno, beat them Karasuno ' the students and the vice principle all started chanting but the cheers of the Shiratorizawa cheering squad and the cheerleaders drowned them out. Soon the team members of Shiratorizawa walked through the doors.
