I'm not the type to talk about politics but our country needs your help. I'm so scared for my future and for my country. In just one morning, all of our rights and our freedom of speech is taken away. I don't know what's going to happen from now on but I'm here to ask for your help and support.

Myanmar citizens need the word to know what's happening in Myanmar right now. Yesterday on February 1st, our wifis and all means of telecommunications were cut off. They cut off our TV broadcasting lines, phone services in order to prevent us from reaching to the world. Again in 2021, history is about to be repeated like in 1988. Help us. The military has detained our elected democratic government, party leaders and political activists in Myanmar.

This is what was supposed to happen on February 1st :

Democratically elected politicians and non-democratically elected military spokespersons are supposed meet in Nay Pyi Taw to form a new government that will lead the country for the upcoming 5 years.

This is what happened :

1. Democratically elected politicians who were supposed to meet up, got kidnapped by the military.

2. Citizens and public figures such as singers and writers got kidnapped for using their rights for the freedom of speech in favor of democracy.

3. Phone signals got cut off around 3 am in Nay Pyi Taw and all over the country.

4. TV, Radios and some internet providers got cut off.

5. Roads to airports got blocked and airports are closed till the end of May 2021.

6. ATMs and Banks stopped working.

7. MWD announced that Myint Swe is the new president ( I don't know what happened to the vice president )

8. The coup is official, and the country is in an emergency rule and the military will have full control over the country for at least one year.

Here's some updates on the situations rn :

- The entire government body has been replaced by the military regime as officials were threatened to give up their positions while being captive.

- Mobile/ Internet access are quite unreliable/ limited/ instable meaning our communications with the world could be cut off anytime.

- All state media including television and radio that's not under the military have been suspended.

 - All international news channels on cable have been shut down.

- Major propaganda to support the military is aired on all state-owned ( military ) media channels 24/7 ( We're literally no different to the North Koreans now )

- There's curfew at 8 pm, which means anyone who goes out after will be shot down with no hesitation. ( Yes there have been many reports of gunshot sounds )

We're all trying to stay calm and not protest because if we do that another 1988 uprising could occur. History could repeat itself.

If you do not know what happened in 1988, there were protests ( mainly lead by the student body ) which were shut down by the military. Bloodshed occurred with the body count of about 350.

Please spread this information and spread awareness.I'm fighting for my rights and so are the other citizens. As a citizen of myanmar, I ask you to help us.
