Chapter Seven : Making up

' Can I talk to you alone? ' Kageyama asked breaking the silence. ' Hey! I'm not leaving you two alone. What if you make her cry again? ' Haru glared at him, the tension between them is suffocating the air around you.' It's alright Haru, you can go. I also want to talk to Kageyama.' you told him so you and Kageyama have some alone time. Although disappointed, Haru agreed to give you guys time. ' Okay...see you tomorrow y/n-chan '  

' See you Haru ' you waved him off. After he left, silence once surrounded the two of you again. Kageyama went to search the appropriate medicine he needed for your ankle.

' I can do it myself ' you broke the silence, giving your hand out to Kageyama so he passes you the medicine bottle. Kageyama shook his head, he started applying the medicine on your ankle gently so it wouldn't hurt you. 

' I..umm..I am sorry. For what I said this morning. I didn't mean it ' he spoke up.

' It's fine, what's done is done ' your heart felt heavy and you wanted to explain but you knew that even if you did, he wouldn't believe you.' I-I also know that it wasn't you...it was Yuno ' he said while looking at the floor, guilt smeared across his face.

' How did you- ' 

' Hikari-chan told me and lectured me. You were right, I've been horrible to you and I even said worse things ' Kageyama said quietly, just enough for you to hear. ' Sorry I didn't believe you. I-I'll make it up to you. I promise! ' he announced while bandaging your ankle.

' It's okay. You don't need to-' 

' I want to make it up to you ' he cut you off looking straight into your eyes. He then realized what he said and started to blush.

' It..it's not like I want to make up to you, I mean I do but I also want to make it up to you because it's only fair..yes- ' his cheeks were turning into a color of pink. Confused by his behavior, you shook your head giggling. Hearing it, Kageyama looked at you. Realizing what you just did, you cursed yourself for it..

' You're supposed to be mad at him y/n. Why did you so that? This is so embarrassing. If I have to the chance to die right now, I would choose it. '

' I made you smile, that's a start ' Kageyama smiled sincerely at you as he finishes treating your leg.  

' Can you walk? ' he asked. The question made you remember what happened on the way here and your heart began to race. After some milli-seconds, you nodded. 

' I'll support you. Here ' he wrapped your arm around his neck and placed his hand on your  waist while another was holding your other hand. Your cheeks began to burn as they turn red. You turned your head to the side so Kageyama wouldn't see how much you were blushing. 

Time skip ~

When both of you arrived at the gym, everyone rushed to your side.' Are you okay now y/n-chan ? ' Daichi asked. You nodded and the other teams members sighed in relief. Suddenly, you saw Tanaka rushing towards Kageyama smirking. 

' Soo Kageyama what was that trick huh? We all saw you pulling that one. ' he asked punching Kageyama's arm.

' What-what trick? ' Kageyama was blushing and everyone could see that.

' Yeah, Ryuu is right. You didn't tell us that you know such tricks ' Nishinoya smirked, raising his eyebrows at him.

Kageyama was clearly red now and doesn't know what to say. You were blushing too since they all were talking about how he carried you bridal style to the infirmary. 

' Now now, stop teasing them Tanaka, Nishinoya. Let's get back to practice ' Sugawara announced. 

All of the boys replied ' OSU! '

You sat down on the bench and watched your team play against the other team. Normally, it would be frustrating for you to just sit and watch but the pain in your ankle kept you from feeling that way.
