Chapter Twenty Two : Festival preparations

' So it's decided? ' Haru asked. All three of you nodded. 

' Me and Kageyama-kun will be cosplaying as Nanami and Tomoe. While you and Y/n-chan will be cosplaying as Zero Two and Hiro ' Hikari announced. 

' Are you sure y/n-chan? You'd have to wear a wig that is very different to your hair color. Plus the horns ' Haru asked. 

' Yeah, it's fine '  you looked up at Kageyama smirking at you. Of course you didn't want to cosplay as Zero Two, but you have no choice since you accepted his stupid dare. It's not like you didn't want to cosplay as her, it's just you're insecure about how you'd look. Plus, it was your first time wearing a wig which was very contrasting to your ( h/c ) hair. 

All four of you started working on the preparations of the cultural festival for the next few days. 

The day before the festival~

You were noting down the weaknesses and strengths of the team as a whole and of each and every member of the team as the practice match came to an end. You passed out water bottles and towels to Tsukishima, Ennoshita and Sugawara. 

' Ne, Y/n-san What is your class doing for the cultural festival? ' Sugawara approached you, along with the other members.

' Oh..we're doing a cosplay cafe ' 

' Woah, reallyy? ' a sparkling Nishinoya popped out of nowhere. You nodded.

' What are you gonna cosplay as ? ' Ennoshita asked.

' Oh, uh zero two ' you replied softly. 

' Woah, that's so cool. Y/n-chan is gonna be beautiful ' Tanaka added squealing, making you feel a little bit better about yourself. 

' Thanks, Tanaka-senpai ' you stressed on the word Senpai. Tanaka squealed from happiness earning a sniffled laugh from both Daichi and Sugawara. 

Timeskip~ 

You flopped down on your bed after studying you butt off and preparing for tomorrow. You reached for your phone and started typing a message. 

' Hey Tooru! Tomorrow's our cultural festival, are you gonna come? ' 

Not even one minute later, he replied ' Of course, chibi-chan ' 

' Wow, you reply fast ' 

' Well of course, I always have time for you chibi-chan ' he replied, making your heart sting a bit. 

' Sorry ' you texted.

' For what chibi-chan? '

' For not returning your feelings ' after sending that, there wasn't any reply for about some minutes. But soon enough, a text arrived. 

' Listen here, chibi-chan. You don't have to feel sorry or worry about it. I already know that you like Tobio-chan and I respect your decision, as well as your feelings. You're someone very dear to me and I want to see you happy. Even if it's not because of me. Your feelings are important to me since you're important to me. So don't worry about it okay? ' 

' Thank you Tooru ' 

' No worries! I'll see you tomorrow. Good night ' 

' Goodnight '

The alarm's screaming woke you up from your exciting love life in your dream. ' Uggghhh if only it was true ' you wined as you walked to the bathroom to prepare for the festival. You walked to school where you and Hikari started preparing the makeup for the cosplay. 

' Y/n-chan I think we should also roleplay ' she suggested. 

' Roleplay?' she nodded.

' I'll explain it after the boys finished their preparation ' she said as she started fixing her bangs so she looks like Nanami. You added finishing touches to your look and started dressing up. 

' Woahh y/n, you're slaying the cosplay ' Hikari high five-ed you. 

' Thanks! You look really cute too Hikari ' you smiled back. Soon, both of the boys walked into the class wearing their respective costumes. 

' Holy...Kageyama looks so cute ' you screamed internally. ( Ik he's supposed to be Tomoe but I wanted him to be like the black haired version? )

Both of the boys jaw dropped when they saw you in your costume. Not only were you beautiful, you were stunning. All of you guys rocked the cosplays. 

' You look stunning Y/n-chan ' Haru smiled at you. 

' Thanks ' you replied while peeking at Kageyama in hopes that he also compliment you, but he didn't. 

Some time passed and your cosplay café is now the talk of the school. There were people coming in just because they wanted to see Haru. The volleyball team also dropped by showering you with compliments especially Tanaka and Nishinoya.

' Oi Boke! That wasn't the dare ' he finally spoke up ' I dared you to be something ugly..not this. You look knuff...I mean n-nice' he stuttered. You giggled at him. 

' Thanks blueberry ' You were about to compliment him but your alone time was interrupted by Hikari bringing Haru by dragging his wrist. 

' Hey hey guys! Let's roleplay as our character ' Hikari said. 

' Sure ' Haru beamed knowing you're gonna have to call him darling. 

' No ' Kageyama said sternly. 

' Eh why not? If it was because of your role, you don't even have to do anything Kageyama-kun. You're already in character ' Hikari teased. You chuckled.

 You didn't have anything against the roleplay until you realized Kageyama was also gonna have to act a bit lovey dovey with Hikari and well...you didn't like it. You hated the idea even though you know for sure that Hikari is just trying to help you by making Kageyama jealous. She nudged you, signaling you to accept the roleplay. 

' Let's do it ' you said, breaking the heated tension going on between Haru and Kageyama. 

' Huh?! Boke are you out of your mind? ' he asked. 

' Hey! Don't call her that! ' Haru said as he got in front of you. You sighed and dragged Hikari out of the room for some air. 

After some time, girls started squealing and whispering in a distance. You turned to the direction and saw Oikawa being as dazzling as he can because he's Oikawa Tooru. 

' Tooru! ' you called out and waved. 

' Yaho chibi-chan! You're looking amazing ' he waved as he ran towards you.  

' Thanks ' you smiled and led him to his table, giving out your menu. You both talked for a while with Kageyama glaring at your direction.
