Chapter Twenty One : Dinner Date

' Did the Grand King just asked Y/n -chan out on a date?! ' Nishinoya exclaimed aloud. 

' What's a date? ' Hinata asked. 

' It means Oikawa likes Y/n-chan and he wants to spend time with her ' Nishinoya explained. 

' I want to go on a date with the Grand King too! Is he gonna teach you how to serve y/n-chan? ' Hinata said, making everyone facepalm from his innocence. You shook your head to his question while holding in a laugh. 

' Gahh.. I can't believe that he asked our y/n-chan out on a date ' tanaka replied.

' For the last time Tanaka, you have no right to call y/n-chan as ' our y/n-chan ' but though I never thought Oikawa would ask y/n out on a date ' Suga said. You looked down due to embarrassment. 

Kageyama scoffed and walked away. He didn't even react to Oikawa asking you out on a date. At least that's what you thought. You sighed ' What was I even expecting...' 

The bus ride home was silent. All of the boys were asleep and you were just listening to music when a text message popped up. 

' Yahoo Chibi-chan~ I planned a dinner date for us. Is that okay with you? I'll pick you up ' Oikawa asked. 

' I'm okay with it ' you replied, getting a heart reaction for your text from Oikawa.

Time Skip to the day of the date ~

You looked at yourself in the mirror. It was only about 10 minutes before Oikawa come to pick you up from your house. You wore a black plain sweater pairing it with a short red skirt and finishing off with a pair of cute sneakers. 

* DING DONG * 

You opened to see Oikawa all dressed up for your date. He looked at you and his eyes widened.

' Is it that bad? ' you asked playing with your hands nervously. 

' No-No chibi chan. I-it's just...you look amazing ' he said bringing his hand to his nape with a slight blush on his face. You blushed at his comment. 

' Let's go? ' he asked putting out his hand so you could hold it. You both walked to the restaurant that Oikawa made a reservation with him holding your hand.

*     Meanwhile ~ Kageyama was stalking you both....Not creepily....he just wanted to see where Oikawa will take you and what you guys will do ( A/N : I'm just kidding )     *

You and Oikawa arrived at the restaurant and the waiter led you both to your table. It was a small but aesthetic restaurant. 

' Not many people know this place, I come here usually alone. I wanted to share this place with you since you're special to me chibi-chan ' he smiled. You smiled back awkwardly not knowing how to say what you want to say. 

' Hey..Tooru..I'm- ' 

Oikawa cut you off ' You don't have to say it chibi-chan. I noticed the way you looked at Tobio-chan ' you kept your head low. You didn't want to hurt Oikawa. He was a special friend to you. 

' I asked you out so that I could see Tobio's reaction. Of course part of the reason was that I like you and by like I mean as more than a friend. But I'm happy with being friends with you and I don't want to lose that ' Oikawa smiled a bitter smile. You smiled at him. 

' T-thank you Tooru. You're a special friend to me and I don't want to hurt you. I'm sorry if I did ' 

' Well, if you're sorry about it. Give me a chance after Tobio. Anyway, tell me about how you and Tobio are going!  ' he smiled, smirking at the last sentence. You rolled your eyes at him but he was persistent enough to make you spill the beans. 

Time skip~ 

' ....He doesn't even know I like him! ' you finished off the story.  

' Jesus, for being my kouhai , Tobio-chan really is not quick at this kind of stuff ' he laughed. You guys spent the rest of the evening, gossiping about Iwazumi and Kageyama. After dinner, Oikawa offered to walk you home and you accepted. 

' Hey chibi-chan, good luck with Tobio-chan ' he smiled at you. 

' Thank you Tooru ' you smiled with a tint of sadness. 

' What's wrong? ' 

' N-nothing..it's just..I don't know if he'll ever feel the same way about me ' he stopped walking when he heard you say that and looked at you . You tilted your head saying ' hmm? ' 

' You know chibi-chan..I never thought you were dramatic ' 

' Huhhh?! ' 

He chuckled deeply. ' You haven't even tell him how you feel and yet you're worrying over something that's not sure ' 

' Well..yeah but.. ' 

' Miss chibi drama queen, stop worrying! I'm sure he likes you too. If he makes you sad, I'll teach him a lesson or two as his senpai ' he exclaimed making you laugh as you both closed the distance between your house and you. He dropped you off and waved goodbye. 

You enjoyed today. Who would have thought that going on a date with Oikawa would turn into this. You giggled as events of today passed through your head while you prepared yourself for tomorrow. 

Time Skip~ 

' Y/n-chan tell us how the date went ' Tanaka yelled running, ready to jump at you. Fortunately, Ennoshita held him in place and you thanked him for saving your life. Long live Ennoshita.

' Y/n-chan tell us what happened? ' Nishinoya asked. 

' Are you guys dating now? ' Tanaka added. Hearing the question, Kageyama approached to the three to you, listening to your answer with a scowl on his face. 

' No no, its nothing like that. We're not dating ' you said. You looked at Kageyama and noticed that he was more relaxed now and had a little smile to his face. 

' Could it be...could it be that he was relieved that I wasn't dating Tooru? ' the question that rang in your head that day, would probably be answered soon.
