Harry's POV:
"Blimey Harry!" Ron exclaimed "what the hell happened to your leg"
"Emerald Gaunt happened" I said through gritted teeth the pain was almost unbearable like a million tiny sparks going off at once
"Hey boys how's..." Hermione stopped in her tracks her mouth opening in horror
"What the hell happened" she demanded taking out her wand and muttering the healing spell, I felt my wound slowly closing up and the pain increasing momentarily before fading away.

"Claws" I said breathlessly,I was still in shock , there was no way the descendants of Salazar Slytherin himself would allow a half breed to associate with them ,no way.

I explained the events of our last lesson to my two friends leaving out the part about me insulting half the Slytherins, Hermione's warned me about that before ,countless times even, I'd never taken her seriously before but seeing the look of fury in Emerald's eyes was enough to make even me run for the hills.

By the time I'd finished a look of fear flashed across Ron's eyes meeting Hermione's curious ones

"I don't get...I mean how.....that's impossible"she stuttered

"It happened Hermione and I'm gonna have the scars to prove it"

"Scars?" Ron suddenly jolted up

"Yeah why"

"The healing spell isn't meant to leave any scars"

He was right .it wasn't, I looked down to see three crescent shaped marks through the holes in my trousers

"Maybe you've swallowed one of those Anti-Magic Artifacts" Seamus joked from his place on the sofa on the other side of the table having been listening in

"Anti what what now" I questioned

"Anti-Magic artifacts ,you know those items that stop you from being able to do magic in a room, used to make things safer sometimes when fellows can't use their wands? ,come on guys I'm a half blood and even I know that" he laughed

"What the hell are you going on about Finnigan" I sigh exasperated, this is the last thing I need, Seamus comming up with more of his crazy theories.

I suddenly heard a crash and I looked up ,Hermione had dropped the mug she was holding looking fearfully at the two Griffyndors

"This morning in the Great Hall ,Emerald Magically produced goat horns from Malfoy's head right?

"Deserved it too, little sh......." Ron started

"I did work experience with Mcgonagal over Spring holidays, Remember? ,and she told me that the podium that all the teachers stand at is in fact an Anti-Magic artifact, none of us have ever tried but I bet we couldn't do magic in there that's why the elves deliver all the food rather than it just appearing..." she looked to make sure they were following her train of thought

"So if that's an Anti-Magic artifact..." Ron said

"How the hell did she manage to do that?" I finished in shock

"I've got a theory" Hermione said before running off to her room to get her Books ,racing back down,

She slammed one book on the table and flicked her wand to get it to the page she was looking for

"There" she said leaning over them,pointing

Hermione's POV
"It does explain the claws and the magic" Ron said

"Of course it does" I exclaimed
If we were right and the Slytherin heir and relative of Voldemort was in fact what we thought she was it meant she wasn't just a mean girl she was downright lethal

"No wait" Harry said breaking me out of my thoughts "it says they have to be born to a muggle otherwise they cannot contain the amount of power inside them and they won't survive, I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty sure Magnus Gaunt is her father seeing as he doesn't seem the type to take in strays  and he's definatley not one of those nor a muggle"he finished

Damn it he was right there's no way, I skimmed through the rest of the page
