The next day came around just as quickly as the rest of the week, The twins not having much time to catch up about any new developments, it was useless anyway, they knew she was using Malfoy Manor as her headquarters , she just didn't stay there long enough to be caught.It was frustrating

Emerald was sat in potions next to Harry, watching as Snape inspected the potion they had been working on for the last week, with her brother coming back, Emerald hadn't spent as much time with the Gryffindor who had been worried he had upset her, she had reassured him this wasn't the case

" Perfect" Snape muttered begrudgingly "50 points to both houses" he moved on to check the rest of the class's work.

"Phew thank Merlin we didn't get flour in it" Harry joked ,earning only a small nod from Emerald, "you alright Em?" He questioned "you seem a bit off?"

She shook her head "I'm fine Harry, just tired" she lied ,she was stressed about her mother and her mind had been reeling ,trying to work out her next move.

"She's going after pure-bloods to make sure the potion works" Marcel's voice ran through her mind "she doesn't care who, she just wants an army"

Emerald sighed ,a knot twisting in her stomach
She had to find her.

"Well seeing as the rest of you incompetent trolls can't even get a simple growth potion right I shall be awarding the prize to Mr Potter and Miss Gaunt" Snape announced boredly, extending a vial labelled 'veritaserum' to the pair and dismissed the class.

"Sweet" Harry laughed "I've got you to thank for this Em"

She flicked her hair "well what can I say, I'm a natural" she joked

"Half each?" Harry offered grabbing an identical empty vial

"Sounds good to me" she placed the liquid in her bag , "I've got to talk to Blaise, see you at lunch Harry" and she was gone, Harry sighed .He had been hoping to get her alone and ask her to HogsMeade with him that weekend.....

Oh well..... that would have to wait. He walked out of the hall and towards the library to research his next lesson when he heard a pained groan

Blaise Zabini was laying in a crumpled heap on the floor, his arm bent at an awkward angle, Harry gasped and bent down to check his pulse in shock, even thought the boy was a Slytherin, he couldn't bear to see anyone in pain, besides Blaise had always treated him better than the other Slytherins anyway. He couldn't just leave him like this.

He ran down the corridor to fetch Madame Pomfrey from the hospital wing.

Emerald made her way down the corridor towards the lunch hall when she heard muffled sniffles from the prefects bathroom, deciding to be nosey she creaked the door open abs stepped quietly inside

"Hello?" She called out, not seeing anyone, maybe it was just Myrtle she thought

She rounded the corner to the sinks and gasped in surprise, there in front of her stood a crestfallen looking Draco, his eyes were bloodshot and his chest was heaving as he gripped onto the sink not facing her.

"Malfoy!?" She said surprised "what are you doing in here?" Her tone was short and clipped

"What do you care?" He accused "you hate me"

She huffed "I'll be going then" she was even surprised in herself at how cold that came out, she thought she might have had some pity or some feeling of wanting to help him, she just couldn't dig deep enough to find them. She turned on her heel and walked away
