The sun was shining and it was a warm spring morning, unfortunately most of the students didn't choose to see it this way, their hearts pounding from the night before and dry throats.
Theodore Nott awoke around 9am ,one of the few not to be incredibly hungover , he rolled over to find Emerald gone, he was confused, his mind swirling with possibilities, she regretted kissing him? ,just then he heard her familiar voice from the bathroom
"That's right, come on Flint, get it up" she cooed
Theo was shocked for a minute, striding over to the door and twisting it open, what he saw next made him laugh uncontrollably.
One incredibly unhappy Marcus Flint was leaning over the toilet with Emerald sat on the side of the bath next to him, gently patting his back
"Draw the short straw did you?" He chuckled to her making her look up at him and smile warmly
"Don't even start" she muttered playfully ,Flint had stumbled into the dorm during the early hours of the morning ,making as much noise as possible, while he rushed to the bathroom to empty the contents of his stomach, Emerald had been awoken by this and had gone to check if her friend was alright, knowing how much he hated the sensation of throwing up. now 5 hours later here they were. She wanted nothing more than to get back into bed with Theo, but a very hungover Marcus had other ideas...
Flint retched again and Emerald rolled her eyes, "I think I need to lie down after all that" she patted his back comfortingly as he slouched back against the bath next to her, wiping his mouth.
"One things just occurred to me....." Flint began
"Hmmm?" Emerald and Theo both hummed at the same time
"Why are you in our dorm Em?" He narrowed his eyes suspiciously making Emerald laugh and look at Theo ,her eyes twinkling
Flint's eyes widened in realisation "oh Merlin , you mean, you finally plucked up the courage to make a move?" He smirked "good on you boy, you'll make terrific babies ...now if you'll excuse me I'd like a shower" he shooed the giggling pair out.
Theo had gone and sat back on his bed Emerald smirked and walked over to sit on his lap, facing him and wrapped her arms around him kissing him lightly on the lips, he sighed contentedly and pulled her closer.
"I may vomit" came a female tone and they both whipped round in surprise ,Goyle raised his upper body and beside him laid a very disgusted looking Maya
"Get a room Jesus" she joked and Emerald chuckled, moving off Theo who pouted comically, she patted his thigh
"Later dear" she whispered making Maya scrunch her nose up
"I can hear you!" She screeched.
Once the friends had gotten up and showered the four of them made their way down to the great hall, they had sent a very worse for wear Blaise up to bed when they found him sprawled on the common room sofa .Flint , after a morning of emptying his stomach from the night before, had already been starving and had gone down before them
They walked into the hall and towards their table ,seeing all their classmates in the same state as them. They sat down at their table next to Pansy ,Flint and Marcel.
"Good night?" Pansy whispered to Emerald ,who just nodded cheekily
"It was great although I've been up since five with a very drunk Marcus Flint" she joked patting the boy on the shoulder.
"It's too bright" he moaned "and why does my fist hurt?" Emerald was horrified when she looked down to see his knuckles bruised and cut up, she sighed exasperatedly and muttered the healing curse for him. He grinned at her appreciatively.
