They arrived back at Hogwarts with a loud crack, Theo looked like he was about to throw up
"Merlin Em, how do you manage it?" He said,looking nauseated
She shook her head amusedly "you get used to it, come on" and they walked hand in hand back to the common room.
Just as they were about to enter the room, Marcus Flint came striding towards them
"Hello lovebirds, where have you been?" He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively
She rolled her eyes at his immaturity "painting Malfoy Manor with the blood of death eaters, what about you Captain Flint?" she said sarcastically
Flint laughed once before seeing the expression on Theo's face
"Wait hang on you're serious?!" He chuckled "Em you have issues woman" he joked
She huffed "are you going to let us in the common room any time soon?" She raised an eyebrow
A look of realisation came onto his face "right yeah sorry" he smirked "they've changed the password it's now 'et smaragdus'"
"You're not serious...." she rolled her eyes
"Think Snape might have a thing for you Em" Theo teased her earning him a slap on the arm
"I don't get it" Flint looked confused
"The password is literally 'an Emerald'" and Flint huffed
"Bloody hell"

The next morning Emerald awoke to the sound of Professor Slughorn loudly clanging two pans together
"Hurry up students , class begins in 30 minutes" he shouted " why are none of you awake!"
Emerald groaned, Pansy echoing her
"One of these days I am going to throttle that man" she complained, dragging herself out of bed, Emerald sniggered and dragged herself out of her own bed and into the shower
By the time she had finished, Pansy was also ready, having put her shiny black hair into a pony tail and swiping a layer of mascara over her lashes ,Emerald quickly did the same, muttering a drying charm on her hair. The two girls made their way down to their first lesson, Potions
"Please get into your pairs" Slughorn instructed ,the students shuffled around, Pansy moving from her place beside Emerald with a huff ,to take a seat beside Flint, Harry siding into her empty chair
"Alright Em?" He said chirpily and she grunted
"hungry" she moaned and he smiled at her producing a paîn au chocolat from thin air, handing it to her which she took gratefully
She beamed at him "Harry Potter, have I ever mentioned how much of a genius you are" she took a bite of the pastry in delight.
He smirked "no you haven't, mind telling me again?" He joked
She shoved him lightly ,smiling at him before they were sent a warning look from the Professor.
"Today class we shall be brewing draught of living death" he informed them "you will need to collect your own plants and meet me back here in half an hour, the full list is on your instruction sheet" he clapped his hands "chop chop"
