Three days. I wasted three days not doing anything. My maid told me I have been asleep for three days and I'm secretly mad about it. It's not my style to waste time.

She also informed me that the Duke visited me often including that bastard. She thought it was strange why they were visiting me and I felt the same. She told me they were starting to care about me but that's where I thought different. They started investigating me.

What if they discovered that I'm not Knile?

Will they make me suffer? Physical torture before death?

I should start gaining some knowledge on how to control my magic. I am currently alone in the library which I'm thankful for. I already ordered my maid to find out more about dark and ancient magic since I doubt those kinds of information exist in this household. It's been an hour and I can't seem to find anything related to those kinds of stuff.

I move to the next bookshelf and heard someone's footsteps. I recognize it and prepared myself for another argument.

"Why aren't you resting?" A worried voice asks. It was unbelievable that the bastard spoke to me in that tune. Shouldn't they be hostile towards me or are they faking?

"I don't need it." I concentrated on the book and I felt sadness coming from him. It was indeed strange why he is feeling that way. Did something else happened while I was asleep? Did Celestine broke her favorite heel?

"I see you aren't informed yet. You aren't engage with the crown prince anymore. The Light magic user now holds the title of crown princess." I suddenly face him with wide eyes. What, that easy?! How come?!

"Ahem." I fake cough as I compose myself. It would be strange when I'm seen smiling when it was just announced I no longer hold the title of princess. They would think I've gone insane. "And the reason?" I ask and went back to browsing the books.

"The crown prince begged the Emperor and of course the Empress helped him. It was also because of her magic. And speaking of magic...... How did you summon the empire's enemy?" The sadness I felt from him was now replaced by suspicion and a little hatred.

"That, I don't think I know the answer," I answered as I briefly stared at him. "As you can see, I'm searching for it."

"You don't seem concerned that much. You should already know the Emperor is suspicious about our household, especially you."

"I see. I'll try to act concern then" He didn't respond so I took that as a sign to leave. I must've been too blunt and hurt his feelings or maybe something else...

Though I wonder why he acted like that. I didn't hear any curse words from him and he spoke gently.

Ha...Just what happened during I was asleep?

Sigh.

Walking down the amethyst-tiled hallways, I spotted the Duke. We stop and stared at each other with no emotion and the atmosphere suddenly went tense. He was adorned with jewels and medals and I can simply assume that he came from the palace.

I sigh and turn around, planning to walk towards my bedroom through the garden. Unfortunately, before I could even start the plan, the Duke called my name which is unusual.

As much as I want to disobey, I couldn't.

"What is it, Duke?" Even though I spoke it showing no emotion, anyone could still assume I was irritated.
