Overwhelmed

"Lucy. If you're kidding, this is a sick kind of joke." I yell into the phone.

"Geez, calm down. I'm not kidding! He said that Dream has been looking for new streamers to collab with and you seem like a good option. Nothing is set in stone yet, though."

"Give me a minute-" I mute my mic and scream louder than I ever have before. "Yeah, Lucy. That would be great. Just let me know." 

"Of course! Talk to you later... and get some sleep please. You have two practices tomorrow."

"Yes ma'am!" And with that we hang up. I'm stuck somewhere between shock, excitement, and nervousness. Ignoring Lucy's advice, I log back onto Twitch to watch Dream's stream. I notice that many of my viewers stayed and it makes me grin. 

I end up falling asleep while Dream is still streaming and only wake up to a notification on my phone.

I can't believe my eyes. This can't be real. Maybe I'm dreaming... Or is Lucy trying to prank me? Doesn't seem like something she'd do, but I won't put anything past her.

Goodnight?? Yeah right. Like there's any way I'll be able to sleep after that. I log onto twitter and see that dream just posted a new tweet.

Could they really be talking about me? Dream never said anything about joining the SMP, but what are the chances he's talking another girl streamer about collabs at the exact same time? I guess pretty high. Lucy did make it sound like they were looking for several new streamers. Ugh. I need to stop simping over a green block man.

I logout of Twitter and shut my phone off. No more social media tonight. I really do need some sleep before practice tomorrow.

It's been a busy day of practice and schoolwork, but I still log onto Bedwars to play by myself for a while. It's not nearly as fun without Thomas or someone else, but I need to practice for my streams. 

I only play for an hour before my eyelids begin to close and I find myself struggling to focus on the game. It's only 10:30, but my body aches and my brain is refusing to work properly, so I crawl into bed and fall asleep nearly right away.

Around midnight, my phone dings, waking me up from my deep sleep. I thought I had turned it on Do Not Disturb, but I guess I forgot...

My heart drops when I look at my screen. I don't know why that one particular notification woke me up, but it looks like I missed several before it.
