"This is a stupid idea Goldie" Aella said as I tied my hair up in the mirror "I know, but it's like he said... can't avoid him forever" I mumbled the last part, eyeing her in the mirror as she sat behind me on my bed.
She sighed "How's Romeo?" She asked a moment later "If you're referring to Knox, I don't know... he text me this morning saying he wasn't coming in" I explained I hope he was alright, he seemed okay yesterday, maybe it was so he didn't have to face me.
Cause I sure as hell didn't want to face him either I like Knox, I really like Knox, and I think my new found interest in him is part of the reason it's been so easy to let Maddox go Me and him hadn't worked for so long now but I did love him once... in the beginning.

I saw Aella give me a stern glance in the mirror "Please" I mumbled pleadingly, she rolled her eyes, catching onto my plea for help "5 minutes, or I can't promise he'll still have his eyes when you come down" she mumbled, before leaving me in silence.
I didn't think I was that dressed up considering he kept texting me that we were going to a restaurant It's like I told him on the phone, I didn't want him to think it was a reconciliation.

I trailed down the stairs in my own time, half hoping Aella had followed through on her promise But no... he was stood there, unharmed and with a scowl on his face as they had an intense stare off.
I cleared my throat, gaining their attention, Maddox's face turned to a smile as his eyes raked up and down my body, making me feel uneasy "Ready?" He asked "Yeah" I sighed "Let's get this over with" I mumbled, heading out the door and getting in the passenger seat.
"Right... lets go" he said, starting the car up as his hand landed on my thigh, looking behind him to pull out of the driveway I shoved his hand off me "Sorry" he mumbled "Force of habit" he grinned sheepishly.
