"Darling please drink something, it will help your throat" mom pleaded, she'd been sat beside the bed trying to get me to respond for hours But I couldn't. I could barely move
I'd just been laying here, balled up on my side, thinking about what the doctors said I was... pregnant. I had... his baby inside of me The thought alone sent a shock through me But it was real. It was happening.
And I couldn't handle it.
Knock knock "Excuse me Mrs Moreau?" I heard a woman's voice "Yes?" Mom asked "I'm detective Flores, I'm leading the investigation into the series of events that occurred leading to your daughters assault and the death of Ruby Rye" she informed.
I raised my head, looking at her They found Ruby? I was planning to tell her when the police came to question me To tell them everything that happened to me and that they needed to find her But they already had?
"You found her?" I asked, gaining the attention of both women "Yes, her body was discovered by Aella Villin, in the back of Knox Carson's car, I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about it?" She said.
Aella found her? I wish mom would have let her see me I needed to speak to her To see her and tell her what happened I can't even imagine the pain she must be going through, having found her body like that.
I nodded "No, I'm sorry but it's been a day, one day since she escaped a mad house, she needs time to recover, she's in no fit state for an interview" mom told her "Mom, I want to speak to her" I said, she pursed her lips, wringing her hands together nervously as she looked at me.
"I won't take too long, you're free to stay if you want" she said, mom thought about it for a second, before nodding and looking back to me I nodded at her, assuring her I was okay with it I had to speak to them at some point.
"Okay, Miss Moreau, I understand you were found in the woods, after an altercation with Mr Carson" she said I nodded "Yeah, he um... he chased me out into the woods after I tried to escape" I said.
"Escape?" She asked "Yeah, he... I wasn't there willingly" I said simply, I didn't want to say any of it out loud It sounded ridiculous, it sounded psychotic "He was... holding you against your will?" She asked I nodded "We um... we were supposed to go to on a trip together, but a few days before I found some... stuff" I explained.
