“I can’t believe you and Matt grew up that close to each other,” Candice said. Candice was the first to arrive. She and Matt came from his parents who now live in the city but they still had their old house back in the outskirts of New York.
“Yeah, too think that all I had to do was look out of my window and I’ll be in his room.” I smiled. Lucifer was angry since Candice interrupted our little moment. He locked himself away in the office and I haven’t seen him for the past two hours.
“Ms. Rose?” Candice and I turned to look at Maria. “Your guest has arrived and Mr. Black said I could get the dessert recipe by you.”

“I did but you said that you want to make something to eat on the couch.” I nodded. “We prepared a flat shortcake for you.”
“Thanks, I’ll be with you shortly,” I said. She felt for the kitchen and I went to open the door. I greeted everyone as they entered.
