Liana~

Five is stitching up my wound and it's terribly uncomfortable.

I mean, a needle piercing your flesh.. gross.

I can tell he's trying to be careful so it will be less painful.

Which is considerate but.. it still hurts like a bitch.

He finally finishes up and places a choo-choo train bandage onto the stitches.

We finish getting dressed and I open the window and climb out.

"Damn it, where's Dad's stuff?" Klaus says loudly from inside the dumpster.

"Shut up!"

We walk down the stairs.

"I'm trying to find whatever.. priceless crap was in that priceless box so that Pogo will get off my ass!"

Five starts climbs down.

"I'd ask what you're up to, Klaus, but then it occurred to me..I don't care." He remarks as he makes his way down.

"Hey!" Klaus laughs.

I start to climb down.

"You know there are easier ways out of the house." Klaus chuckles.

"This one involved the least amount of talking." I say as Five grabs my waist to help me hop down off the ladder.

"Or so I thought."

"Hey, hey, hey, so.. You need any more company today?" Klaus asks.

"I could uh.. clear my schedule."

"Looks like you've got your hands full." Five retorts.

"Oh, this? No, no. I can do this whenever.
I'm just-" Klaus falls back into the dumpster.

"I just misplaced something."

"Oh! Found it! Thank God!" He says coming back up with a half eaten bagel.

He bite into it and gags.

"Delicious."

"We're done funding your drug habit." I say before walking off with Five.

"Come on! You don't- Maybe I just want to hang out with my favorite sister and brother- not you."

"¡Mi hermano y mi hermana!"

"I love you! Even if you can't love yourselves!" He yells at us as we get into the van and drive off.

~~~~~~~~
Five and I are sitting in the van in front of the Meritech building.
Lance walks into the building with cups of coffee.
I sigh and look at the duffel bag.
"What's even in this thing?" I say touching the bag.
I hear some glass clinking.
I furrow my brows.
I open the bag and there's multiple bottles of alcohol, some are half empty.
"Are you drunk?" I ask.
"No I'm not drunk." He retorts.
"I'm working."
"Oh, you're working?" I say mockingly.
"All the work we've been doing is just.. waiting here and doing nothing."
"All we can do is wait, and you know that." He says sternly.
