~~~Chapter 18~~~

"Even if you were drunk as well. I think it's my fault."

"Why so?" I responded.

"Huh?" His eyes widen. I looked at him and tried to keep a straight face and not simp.

"You didn't do anything bad. We just danced that's all." I looked into his eyes, no. Not those beautiful eyes I used to stare at every day, every night, every morning.

"Okay.." He looked away and looked at the view.

"I didn't want to apologize in the room because that would change the whole mood. Everyone would go quiet."

"Understandable."

Even though this wasn't my business I wanted to ask still.

"How is the child?" I asked. It was a cute kid. Her mom is an ass but they had a nice kid. Of course, Jin would raise the child right.

He looked at me quickly his eyes widening but soon going dark. "She's fine."

It got quiet again.

"You know..."

What is he going to say? I had many thoughts rolling in my head. So many.

"Me and Baekhee..."

Oh no, I need to leave.

"We never had a child together."

I looked at him in disbelief.

"I thought we did but she lied about it." His hands were fidgeting again.

"I found out around the time you were gone."

Why didn't he tell me, or call me...

"I was nervous and anxious."

Oh

"Even if I tell you, would that even change a thing. I treated you badly. Bad."

"And we started on the wrong foot."

"If I told you earlier, this distance between us wouldn't have happened. I, we would've been together still."

"But I still did it with her. So I'm also at fault."

He took my hand gently and began to caress it.

I looked at him my eyes watering, my heart beating so fast.

I was nervous, yet upset but also a bit happy.

Everything was happening fast.

"I'm truly, very sorry. I don't expect anything from you."

He took my other hand and held it as well. "I missed you and I still do. Even though you're back, I can't hold you like before."

I continued to stay quiet. My tears streamed down my face. "I'm sorry for everything I put you through."

My heart was beating fast but I was calm because he was holding my hand gently rubbing my hands with his thumbs.

"I don't want you to cry because of me anymore."

He let go of my left hand and started to reach towards my face.

I flinched and stopped when he placed his hand on my right cheek wiping my tear.

This was a stressful moment for me. I don't think I can handle it.

"Okay."

He smiled and placed his hand on my head placing his forehead along mine beginning to stroke my hair.

Don't tell me we are about to kiss.

I want to...

No, I'm not ready for this. This is too much.

I felt more calm and peaceful at this moment. I forget he's a good sweet talker.

He stopped and I went stiff.

He looked me in the eyes, no not the eyes. I hate when he does this.

His eyes were sweet and peaceful and not nervous like before.

"Can I?"

"W-what?" I trembled.

He wants to kiss me, doesn't he?

Say no. Say no.

Don't fall for it.

He continued to look at me with passion in his eyes like they always did.

I nodded.

I gave in.

His eyes begin to flare up with a smile on his face.

As he leans in he takes my left cheek this time with his right hand caressing my face.

His lips soon touch mine, my heart never felt weaker. I forgot he was a good kisser too. He gave me a peck and stopped.

I went back for a kiss this time, even though I'm not ready for a relationship nor anything at the moment even though I kissed him. I scrunched up the sleeve of his shirt as he looked at me in shock.

A smile crept on his mouth as he kissed me, so did I as well. The kiss was slow but felt passionate and comforting. I felt that he missed me a lot in the kiss. I felt butterflies.

He placed his hand on my waist as he kissed me.

No, no I know where this is going but this is Hyun's treehouse.

I stopped and opened my mouth.
