According to the call Y/C/N made two days ago he's coming over today.

Yes.

Sarah left yesterday. And I feel shit for letting her.

I got a bunch of calls and texts to take care of because we announced that we were canceling our engagement due to personal reasons.

Which was stupid if I do ask her again.

People asking what happened and such. I'm just glad that it hasn't made it in the headlines.

After cleaning the house I got to my phone checking if Y/C/N was coming over soon. Instead I got a message from Patrick.

Y/C/N looked at me with sad eyes.

Fuck it. "Y/N..." When I grabbed her wrist. She turned to me with both surprised and angry look. "I-I... Let's talk... Please?"

"Mom, you don't have anything to do."

She muttered incoherent words. Grumbling but entering the house.

"Stay in your room if we're going to talk. Don't listen in."

The kid then ran to his room.

We had an awkward atmosphere around us.

"Why did you cancel the engagement?"

"I told her what happened."

Her eyes widened. "What?!"

"I felt guilty, I was drunk. I told her."

"Told her what exactly?!"

"Patrick told me you two broke up..."

"T-That... We have nothing to talk about. I'm going."

Not really ready to talk to her yet I let her leave.

I then went to the kid's room.
