Chapter 34

We had been going through books about siphoning for hours at this point, Finn and Angelo had yet to return. Finn called me and told me they had to do some sort tradition, welcoming Angelo as the alpha.

I still couldn't find what I was looking for in the books, but for some reason I had a gut feeling it would still work.

As I was reading one of the books, Finn and Angelo finally popped back in "We're back" Finn said tiredly

"How did it go?" I asked them

"They were really sad about losing Maya, you could tell they all looked up to her. They all promised to help us look after those kids, who are also crushed right now" Angelo explained somberly "Telling them she was gone was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do" He put his head down and held back tears

"I know, and all we can do now is make sure that we make Malik pay, and I think I have a plan" Everyone began gathering around waiting for me to tell them

"What is it?" Finn asked

"Well, obviously we don't know Maliks next move. He's unpredictable and impulsive and worst of all, he's really angry right now. I asked you guys to look through the books to see if you could find anything on siphoning without any contact at all, we found nothing. I still think its possible, im a witch and witches can do anything they put their minds to! Especially when their backs against the wall"

"So what exactly are you saying?" Rauz asked

"Im saying that im gonna try and siphon all of Maliks magic out of his body and use it to kill him! Im gonna try to do it without touching him" I admitted and they all looked at me like I was crazy

"Alt, nothing in those books say thats even possible!" Rauz was clearly bothered

"But they also never said it was impossible, I've lost too many people trying to fight him, I need to do it alone but you will all have a role in what needs to be done"

"And what if it doesn't work? What if you can't siphon his magic and use it against him?" Calluna snapped

"Then ill petrify him myself, even if it kills me" Raven exclaimed

"No Raven I can't let—"

"Im not taking no for an answer! If you are willing to risk your life for something that may not work, than I can too. Im half of the reason he targeted us anyways, and you're the other half. So if your plan fails ill use mine" She said sharply

"Okay fine, ill just have to make sure my plan doesn't fail then" I said arrogantly

"So whats everyone's roles?" Enya asked

I looked over at everyone proudly, and couldn't help but smile.

"We are gonna throw a party, so I need Enya to rent out a big house nearby" I demanded

A party? thats the big plan? How anticlimactic..." Ezekiel complained

"The party is just a way to get him out of hiding, Ezekiel you know better than anyone, villains just cant seem to resist a big public event. If he knows we're hosting a party with lots of human guests, he's gonna suspect its a trap, but that'll only make him want to come more. He'll think its the best time to end all of this, but its just the fake ending." I replied humorously "Ezekiel your gonna be in charge of compelling our very human guests to show up to a party of a person they don't know"

"Yay, Sounds fun" He joked

"Calluna I need you to get decorations, drinks, and anything to make this party look as real as possible. Rauz I need you to send a party invitation to the council so I can return this stupid fake bow to them, and give them a piece of my mind. Also Malik wont try anything at a party the council is attending. Avian and Zarya I need you to get some vampires, Angelo get your pack, and Raven warn the witches at the academy of whats to come, Finn you'll be in charge of teleporting the vampires and wolves to the academy." I explained
