Napabuntong hininga na lang ako nang marinig ako ang boses ng isa sa mga center crew ng movie house kung saan ako naroroon ngayon.

Damn it.

I gazed my eyes on the cinema's wide screen. Puro pangalan at ending credits na lang ang aking napapanood.

It was only me and the maintenance person inside the empty cinema.

Thoroughly, I grabbed my popcorn, trying to contain such disappointment and annoyance. Ang laki kong kalokohan.

I stood up and picked up everything on my seat. Napalingon ako at nagisnan ng aking mga naiinis na mga mata ang aking nabiling isang bowl ng popcorn at 500ml na drink.

I've spent money and even wasted my time on a fucking person that made a fool out of me and had the guts not to show up on an appointment he made.

I clenched my teeth and closed my eyes annoyingly as I put both my hand on my jacket, walked away from the isle and left the wasted food.

"Sir! You left your food!"

Napalingon ako muli sakanya.

"Its yours. Don't worry, I didn't even lay my hands on them." I explained and started to walk away.

What an Idiot. And I'm an Idiot as well for believing he would show up.

My attention was caught by my phone vibrating inside my breast pocket. Agad kong kinuha ang aking phone.

There was a single message. I laid my eyes on the screen as I opened it.

"Sorry I can't come. I'll make it up soon." – Loren

My hands held the phone tightly as I felt mixed emotions. Hindi ko alam kung magagalit ako or maiinis. Shit.

But my attention was again caught by an incoming call from a familiar woman.

"What is it, Maris?" I coldly said as I answer the phone.

Upon hearing her news on the line, my eyes went wide as I cannot even believe what I heard.

"On my way!"

Maigi kong nilingon ang isang matayog na lalaking nakaupo sa sofa ng aking opisina. Even with the dim lights, I could see his disappointment from a far.

Sadly, di ko rin naman siya magawang sisihin. Who wouldn't even be happy after knowing the news?

I carefully sat down on my office chair, still with my eyes pressed onto him. He calmly just stares at the floor with his arm crossed.

Hindi lang naman niya namamalayan ang kanyang makinis na pulang uniform na nagawa niyang muling suotin.

"I always adore your calmness, especially on these situations." I said as I picked up my tea cup.
