Shanté: Yeah. I bet you're happy.

Mikaela: Well...at least you don't have to worry about him ghosting you.

Shanté's POV

Yeah but...now I just feel...I don't know...hurt. But if he's gonna trip every time someone thinks we're dating, then I don't want to be friends with him. I'll get over it

The day after Shanté's birthday

I couldn't do anything for my birthday because something happened to my grandad. I'm currently in the hospital worried about him & stressing about school. There's so much work & we've only been in school for a month. I seriously question why we need it

Mikaela: Ok so she should be on her way back.

Jacquez: You sure she wants this?

Elizabeth: Right. She's pretty upset.

Mikaela: Which is why she needs some cheering up.

Jonathan's POV

I want to make up with her. It's been a week. I thought she was going to talk to me but she hasn't. Instead she started sitting with some girl in class instead of beside me. I bought the ring the day after she cut me off. It was probably stupid given the fact that she cut me off but she wanted it & I wanna give it to her

*knock knock*

Mikaela: *goes to the front door & opens it* Why are you here?

Jonathan: I want to see Shanté.

Mikaela: Why? She cut you off.

Jonathan: I know that but I want to apologize to her.

Mikaela: She doesn't want you here so you can go.

Jonathan: Mikaela, let me talk to her.

Mikaela: No.

Jonathan: Please?

Mikaela: She's not even here.

Jonathan: I can wait.

Mikaela: She doesn't want you here.

Jonathan: Did she say that?

Mikaela: ...yeah.

Jonathan: Oh...ok. Well can you tell her I'm sorry.

Mikaela: You know you could just text her.

Jonathan: I'd rather do this in person than over the phone.

Mikaela: You could've done it at school....oh right, you're embarrassed to be seen with her.
