Datum 36 : Triggered (I)

"Yeah. very close indeed."

We stared at the ciy lights one more. I felt a sense of happiness as she told me those  things. I felt that I am somehow at peace and I cannot really explain it.

Ang hirap ipaliwanag. It felt like I've known her for so long. There's a part of me that is clearly confused.

"I just wish he'd come back." Stella with her low tone and stood up.

She just stood there and inhaled deeply.. then suddenly

"BUMALIK KANA SAAKIN VAUGHN!!!!"

Natigilan ako as she shouted on the top of her lungs, her voice echoed through the park and the small hills. May kung anong kirot ang aking nadama. As if my soul feels like I need to do something.

For some reason I felt very uncomfortable upon hearing her shouts, as if something had been calling me, but I am not damn sure what is it.

As I stare at her, I felt my heart crumbling, parang may kung ano ang gumagambala saakin. Hindi ko mapigilang hindi mapatingin sakanya.

Time started to  slow down for me as certain flashbacks unconsciously rewind through my head to the point I started to hear things inside my mind.

"Vaughn.."

"Vaughn..."

Tuluyang napako ang aking tingin sakanya as Stella's voice pierced through my mind and heart. As I  stare at her,  my lips were unconsciously opening, a strange urge was felt to call her name.

"St..Stella--"

Agad niyang narinig ang aking nauutal na pagtawag, at niligon ako. Her emerald eyes pierced through my soul, but that moment was hastily cut off nang marinig sa buong paligid ang ingay ng isang pumarang sasakyan.

With a split second,  I witnessed how the door of the said car slid open and rough arms snatched Stella in front of me. I readily stood up but time seemed slowed everything down.

Her eyes being all confused and scared as she was forcefully taken away from me.

"Stella!!!"

I shouted at the top of my lungs and attempted to save her, but bullets came running down my feet. Fuck!!! I attempted to run towards my bike but

*BANG!!! BANG!!*

Agad na sumingaw ng mabilis ang hangin ng aking motor. Fuck it!! they even made a hole in my tires!!

I felt my skin drowning in cold sweat and my heart racing. At this rate I dont even know what to do.

"STELLA!!!  STELLAAA!!!"

I shouted at the top of my lungs as my feet forcefully ran towards the direction of the screeching car. Ramdam ko ang pagkapos ng aking hininga habang bumibigat na ang aking paa.

Damn this old fucking body!!

Tuluyan nang  nawala saaking paningin ang kotseng tumangay kay Stella and I dropped off my knees, panting heavily.

Mabilis kong inactiivate ang aking bluetooth headset saaking tainga as I desperately cry for help.

"This is Captain Von Devi requesting for back up and assitance!! Lieutenant Franz had been abducted!"

I immediately stood up, still catching my breath, and ran my fingers through my hair with all the frustration and other shits mixing inside me.

"Ang laki mong tanga!!!! Von!!!!"

I shouted at the top of my lungs, all desprate and frustrated as the heavy rain starts to fall over my shoulders. As the thunder illuminated the whole city certain objects from a distance reflected a glow that cuaght my attention.

Mabilis kong pinuntahan ang mga nasabing mga bagay and I was surprised, yet curious to find out items on the dirty concrete floor.

Maingat kong pinulot ang isang punit na bandana mula sa basang sahig. Nakakaagaw pansin ang pint nitong agila pulang rosas na puno ng tinik.

Agad kong inilingon ang aking tingin mula sa hindi kalayuan at dumugaw saakin ang isang putol na kwintas,  sa dulo nito  ay may isang pamilyar na bagay.

I immediately held my chest, habang sinusuri ng aking paningin ang nasabing bagay. Confusion started to cloud my head as I  realize something wrong with the ring.

It was the same as mine.
