Does it always have to be like this?  Why does this man always appears behind my back?

"Good afternoon, sir." Eve stopped laughing and politely greeted her boss. Carlisle just glared at her.

"Bring two cups of coffee in my office. One black, one with cream and sugar. I supposed you still like your coffee sweet, Adriana?" He commanded Eve while just looking at me.

"No cream." I firmly answered meeting Carlisle's gazes. Eve quickly went away to get coffee from the pantry. I was frozen. He rarely address me by my first name. He only calls me Adriana whenever he's upset.

"What are you waiting for. Get in my office now." He said firmly while opening the glass door of his office. Damn, if it wasn't just about the project that we needed, I swear to all the gods that I wouldn't be here. I decided to enter the lion's den.

"Sit down. You would not expect me to talk to you standing up." Carlisle pointed at the black office chair in front of him.

"No need for professionalism Carlisle. Just tell it to me if you'd get my design or not." I furiously told him.

"What happened to you Adriana, why the coldness towards me now?" He asked me.

"Wait, what? Are you seriously asking me that question?" This man is getting on my nerves. Clearly, I haven't moved on from the pain he caused me six years ago. I wanted to yell at him and hurt him physically but I just couldn't. After all these years, I still damn can't.

"Sit down, Adriana. I insist." Carlisle softly said. I frowned at him but finally sat down. I put my hand bag on the top of his table.

"What it is that you want Carlisle?" I asked in an irritated tone.

"I want you." He answered.

"What the fuck, Hughes." I said surprisingly.

"Wow, you've changed. You did not curse before." Carlisle said in sarcasm.

"Really, Carlisle, really? Stop bullshitting me with you saying you want me. You never really did, so stop messing around." I said angrily.

I had always waited for you to say that to me six years ago. I wanted to tell him that but I couldn't.

"Stop beating around the bush. Stop wasting my time and just tell me whether or not my company will get the deal." I coldly told him.

I heard a sudden knock and Eve opened the door. She brought coffee that Carlisle asked from her.

"Thanks, Eve." I smiled at her before she left Carlisle's office.

"You're odd. You were sweet and smiling at everybody except me. You even flirted with Eric during your presentation. How low can you get?" He said.

"No, I did not. What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked him.

"I don't know, you tell me." Carlisle answered.

"I'm not talking to you anymore unless it's business Carlisle. Let's not waste each other's time and continue moving on with our lives." I said irritably.

"Who said I moved on already?" Carlisle answered smirking at me.

Fuck this guy.

"Look, Mr. Hughes, it' been six years. Stop bullshitting me already. I'm no longer your toy that is always available anytime you want to play." I angrily responded. I stood up and heading towards the door. Before I knew it, he grabbed my left arm and pushed me back to the wall  until I could no longer move. His body was pinning against mine. My heart beat skipped like hundred times.

"Let me go, Carlisle." I commanded him furiously as my body trembled next to his.

"I won't because I'm not yet done with you." Having said that, Carlisle suddenly kissed me passionately. He was not holding back. I was resisting his kisses but he is a lot bigger than me. He stands more than six feet tall while I was only 5'4''.  I couldn't even push his weight off me. Damn this guy! I tried to shout but it only helped him to access my whole mouth when I opened it up. I could feel his tongue exploring my mouth. I saved my strength and pushed his muscular body away. There is no way I'm giving up this time to his charm. I slapped his face the moment I had the chance.

"You, monster!" I was infuriating with what he did. He touched his cheek that I slapped. He stepped back and was surprised with my reaction.

"I did not see that side of you before Adriana. You had become fierce. You should have shown it long time ago. Maybe we could have enjoyed more in bed." his eyes were angry but he was mocking me.

"Fuck you Carlisle!" I hissed at him.

"I want that."he was laughing. I was in disbelief. What is wrong with this man?

"I hate you." I said almost inaudibly. I was trembling in anger.

"What did you say?" he asked me in British accent that I used to get crazy about.

"I said I hate you! I loathe you Carlisle. I wish I never met you." I was shouting at him. I realized that I was already in tears at this moment. I could no longer contain myself. I was in shock finding out that I still hate this man in front of me. He broke me. I couldn't forgive him and pretended I was okay. If I just known that The Pearl's CEO was him, I shouldn't have been here. Being here was clearly a mistake. I shouldn't come alone with him in his office expecting we could be two civilized adults talking about business. I know that I should have moved on when I left his house six years ago but clearly, I'm still affected by him.

"You don't mean that" Carlisle uttered.

"Forget that I even competed for this project of yours. Go to hell." I shouted at him walking out this time.

I let my tears flow more this time as soon as I turned my back at him. I was already sobbing. I quickly rode the elevator down to the building. I saw myself's reflection at the elevator mirror with ruined lipstick and messy hair. I was about to look for my handkerchief when I realized I forgot to carry my hand bag in Carlisle's office.

Fuck!
