Naruto: On The Way

Chapter 2 - Naruto vs. Sasuke

"Okay, next is Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke," said Iruka.

"Hah, that’ll be easy," said Naruto.

"Don’t say anything you can’t fulfill, dobe!" said Sasuke.

"Go, Sasuke-kun!" yelled Ino and Sakura.

"Beat that monster!" yelled some girl.

"Again Sasuke, why do they hate me so much?" thought Naruto.

"Go, Naruto-kun...!" said quietly Hinata but Naruto heard her.

"Thanks, Hinata," thought Naruto and believed in himself even more. Then Naruto punched Sasuke but it was just a clone. But Naruto knew where is true Sasuke hiding and threw kunai at him. Sasuke wasn’t expecting this and that kunai hurt him. Then Naruto gave him final punch while he was distracted.

"The winner is Uzumaki Naruto!" said Iruka.

"What did you do to Sasuke-kun?!"

"You are nothing but a monster!" They were throwing garbage at him.

"Stop with that!" said Iruka.

"That’s fine, I’m used to it," said Naruto and left.

"Heh, just wait you scums, this is just a warning," thought Naruto. He was totally emotionless which made him look cool. But it made Hinata worried. She followed Naruto to know what’s wrong.

"Why are you following me?" asked Naruto.

"I-I was just wondering if you are okay," said Hinata.

"Oh, you don’t have to worry about me-ttebayo," said Naruto with a fake smile.

"Um, I have to go now," said Hinata and left.

"She’s weird," thought Naruto and continued on his way. Naruto surprised everyone in his battle and Iruka talked about it with Hokage. Hokage allowed him to make graduation one year sooner than others. Naruto was serious with it because higher rank could help him with his lifelong goal. He was surprisingly good at controling chakra. He was as good as his classmate Sakura.

He made three clones as he was said. Then he hit every target. He successfully made it and became genin at such a young age. Next day was his meeting with jounin. It was Ebisu, but it was the one who always hated Naruto. Naruto’s team was all right, but one year later Ebisu asked for his expulsion from the team.

Ebisu was trying to hold his hate, but one year was his maximum. Third Hokage had to agree with his conditions and Naruto was now transferred to a new team made from Sakura and Sasuke. They weren’t so glad about it. Next day was his meeting with jounin again.

"What are you doing here, dobe?" asked Sasuke.

"It’s none of your business," said Naruto.

"Answer him!" said Sakura.

"And why? Because you said so? Hardly," said Naruto.

"You little-!" Sakura wanted to punch him, but Naruto caught her wrist.

"You shouldn’t hit your teammate, isn’t that right, Sasuke?" said Naruto.

"Tss." Then came their Jounin.

"Aren’t you Hatake Kakashi?" asked Naruto.

"Uh, yes, that’s me," said Kakashi.

"You are late!" said Sakura.

"I was helping an old woman with her bag," said Kakashi.

"Liar," thought Naruto.

"Why is Naruto in our team?" asked Sasuke.

"His last jounin had a problem with him, so they left him to me," said Kakashi.

"Why did he say it like I was some troublemaker?" thought Naruto.

"Tss, how could such a loser defeat me?!" thought Sasuke.

"Okay, we’ll start with bell test," said Kakashi.

"I did it one year ago," said Naruto.

"No exceptions," said Kakashi.

"But before that, introduce yourself," said Kakashi.

"Uzumaki Naruto, you don’t need to know my dreams or goals and only one thing I like is ramen-ttebayo," said Naruto.

"Okay, next," said Kakashi.

"I’m Haruno Sakura, my dream is…and what I like is," she was looking at Sasuke all the time.

"Why can’t she look at me that way too?" thought Naruto who had a slight crush on her.

"My name is Uchiha Sasuke, I don’t have a dream, but I have a goal and that is to kill certain someone. There’s no many things I like and there’s many things I hate," said Sasuke.

"That was dark," thought Naruto.

"Now you!" said Naruto.

"My name is Hatake Kakashi, I don’t have any dream and I won’t tell you what I like or don’t like," said Kakashi.

"So nothing new about you," thought Naruto. They went to the training grounds to do the bell test. Naruto stood in front of Kakashi which was weird to him.

"Hey, you should hide too." But when Kakashi touched him, it was just a clone.

"Hmm, not bad." When Kakashi was distracted, Naruto threw kunai at him. Kakashi caught it, but now Sasuke used Katon at him. Kakashi used Kawarimi no jutsu.

"Tss, I almost got him," said Sasuke.

"Hey Sasuke, where’s Sakura?" asked Naruto.

"Do I look like I care?" Sakura heard it and ran away with tears in her eyes, but Kakashi saw her and caught her in his genjutsu. Sakura saw dead Sasuke and fainted.

"One down," said Kakashi.

"Ahh, Sasuke, we have to cooperate!" said Naruto.

"Tss, I don’t need you," said Sasuke and went to find Kakashi.
