CHAPTER 45

CARNASYON MARIA ZIEL'S POV

"Are you ready?" Kuya Icarus asked that's why I nodded and smiled at him.

This is it, it's the day papa will introduce me to the public as his daughter and the new C.E.O of Castomayor. I felt dull, i don't feel happy nor sad it's just....dull. I'm not event excited.

"Axel will be there." That name, the name whom I loathe the most. He's the reason why I'm don't feel any emotion.

F L A S H B A C K 5 YEARS AGO

"It's okay, kaya mo 'yan baby. Nandito lang ako hindi kita iiwan." Yumakap ako kay kuya Alas, sobrang sakit lang kasi ng mga nangyari sa akin eh, hindi man lang ako nakauwi para sa burol ni nanay. Hindi ko man lang s'ya nakita sa huling pagkakataon, ang sakit lang.

At ang napanood ko ngayon, sobrang sakit!

"Axel Zamaniego a handsome and famous hotelier and Annika Valiente, a model, pinag-uusapan sila ngayon ng fans dahil sa singsing na suot ng babae. Tumutulo ang mga luha ko pero wala akong naramdamang sakit kundi galit. Galit na galit ako. Pinunit ko ang mail na pinadala sa akin at inilagay sa basurahan. Isang basura na dapat itapon.

Grabeng dagok ang mga nangyari sa akin pero isa lang ang alam ko. Babalik ako, babalikan ko kayo.

I looked at myself in the mirror, I'm wearing a black backless gown the details are so beautiful. My boobs are intact made by the gown and my back are flawlessly shown. My right leg is showing because of the high slit. I partnered my gown with my 6  inches heels. My make-up is not that strong, i don't wanna look like a clown duh.

I smiled, a cold one.

"Let's get this started."

Tumayo ako at hinawakan ang kamay ni kuya Icarus.

"Let's go?" Sumabay ako sa kanya. The party started what we're just waiting now is the announcement. Lumabas na kami sa kwarto at naglakad pababa sa makaling hagdanan. Mabuti nalang medyo madilim kaya hindi ako nakita nila. The design is so beautiful, it's a normal party design made by the catering services.

Most of the guests are from my dad's business partners, some of them are from social circle.

Tumayo ako at naglakad-lakad muna, napunta ako sa pool some of the guests are there too kumuha ako ng wine sa isang waiter na naglalakad lakad.

"Excuse me, ako rin."  Napatuod ako dahil sa narinig na boses. Kumabog ang dibdib ko. Wait, bakit ako ang kakabahan? I never did something to them, sila ang may kasalanan sa akin. I composed myself at lumingon.

"Hi there, nice meeting you again." I said in a cold voice. Napanganga s'ya nang makita ako. I am satisfied by her reaction.

"C-Carnasyon? Y-you're back? I mean nakabalik----" Pinutol ko s'ya, akala ata n'ya I'm the same Carnasyon they knew before.

"Yes I'm back, hello there Annika? How's life?" Gulat na gulat s'ya sa paraan ng pananalita ko, that's right Annika magulat ka. Hindi ko parin nakakalimutan ang ginawa mo sa akin noon.

Nang matauhan s'ya ay tinaasan n'ya ako ng kilay at tinitigan ako mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Oww, you've changed huh? Nakabingwit ka nga pala ng isang Castomayor kaya nga nabihisan ng maganda but still kahit anong gawin mo I'm still above you." Tumawa ako ng mahina at peke sabag simsim sa wine ko.

"Don't you know the saying, "Whoever tried bringing you down is already below you." Naalala mo ba ang ginawa mo sa akin noon? Huh?" Namutla s'ya sa sinabi ko at naging aligaga.

Ngumiti ako ulit sa kanya ng peke.

"See you around female dog." I said at pumunta sa table ng mga kapatid ko. I didn't see Axel maybe napapaligiran lang ng mga tao or hindi pumunta? I don't really care.

"Woahh so pretty little sis!" Saad ni kuya Archer.

"Kuya, pretty is just an understatement to describe my beauty. I'm gorgeous." I smirked kaya pumalakpak si kuya Achilles at nag thumbs up sa akin.

"I bet I need to guard you 24/7, many boys wanna tried luring you." Mahinang saad ni kuya Xeno at nag agree naman sina Kuya Icarus at Alas.

"Anyway my twin, you're really gorgeous. I bet you get that beauty from me." He said then wink at me, mahina ko naman s'yang pinalo at tumawa.

"Everyone that's enough, it's time." Seryosong saad ni papa kaya napatahimik kami. Father has this aura, when he speak what you have to do is listen to him.

"Hello everyone! Did you all have fun?" The music stopped when the DJ talked. Sumagot naman ang mga tao ng mahina.

"Let's all welcome here in the stage! Mr. Eduardo Castomayor! The host of this party and one of the richest C.E.O in the Philippines! Let's give him a round of applause!" The spotlight pointed at my father while walking. Nang umabot na s'ya sa stage, kinuha n'ya ang mic at nagsalita.

"Hello everybody, are you guys having fun?" Tumigil na muna s'ya at ngumiti.

Nanatili lang kaming nakatitig sa kanya habang nagsasalita. At his age, father still looked dashing d'yan nagmana ang mga kapatid ko.

"You already knew what happened to my family back then, when my wife gave birth with the twins I was the most happiest man alive during that day, she gave birth, a healthy baby boy and a beautiful baby girl. But days later while staying at the hospital she was killed, she was shot in her heart that lead to her sudden death, I'm devastated but I need to be strong for my children that's why I gathered all my strength and fathered my children but another tragic incident happened, my baby girl was stolen from us. She was kidnapped!" Inilagay ni Alas ang kamay n'ya sa balikat ko at hinapit ako papunta sa kanya sabay halik sa gilid ng noo ko. My father's speech is sad but my tears didn't fall. Nasasaktan lang ang puso ko pero hindi ako umiiyak.

"Now, we met her again, we saw her. She looked like her mother, she's so beautiful! I sent her to Australia, i enrolled her to one of the most prestigious school in Autralia, she's a business management student and graduated with flying colors." My father smiled at me that's why I smiled back.

"Help me welcome, my beautiful daughter. Ammara Castomayor but if you knew her by chance, her former name is Carnasyon Maria Ziel Batobalani." Napasinghap ang lahat, ilan sa kanila ang nang do-down sa akin ngayon.

I held my head high and smiled at them. This is it.
