Chapter Thirty One

KAZUMI

Umaga na, at tinawag na kami sa baba. Nauna na si Miss Em dahil sabi niya ay madami pa daw siyang gagawin. Sinabi sa amin kagabi ng magdinner kami na magkikita raw kami sa sala by eight o'clock. Pero sinabi niya dapat six palang ng umaga ay gising na kami dahil mag-bre-breakfast kaming lahat ng sabay at by eight, dapat bumalik kami sa baba dahil mag s-start na ang activities.

Maaga akong nagising dahil na rin kay Emily. Five pa lang ng umaga ay gising na siya! Nauna siyang maligo at nag-ayos pagkatapos no'n ay agad na siyang umalis.

Ngayon ay nandito na kami sa sala at hinihintay ang iba naming kaklase. Ang iba ay halatang puyat. Haynako, alam na man sana nila na maaga kami ngayon. Pero joke! Makapag salita, napuyat din ako dahil hindi ako makatulog kagabi. Ang weird lang kasi. Wala lang, 'di lang ako makatulog.

"I think everyone is here, so should I start?" Miss started and we all said yes.

"Ngayong umaga, I will group you guys into three. I will give you an illustration board and coloring materials, and you should draw the things you feel about one another. There is no limitations as to how your imagination could be. But you must discuss what you'll have to do. I'll give you an hour and a half to discuss and draw what you've decided. After that, the rest of the morning, we'll be sharing or explaining about what you drew."

We all listened to her.

Cleo is with Mae and Pat.

Elle and Anne is with Kyle.

Gia is with Angelo and Emma.

Jazz and Angel is with Inigo.

Hindi pa ako tinatawag kaya kinakabahan ako.

"Coldsmith is with Perez and Gomez." Nang sinabi yan ni Emily, parang tumigil ang mundo ko.

Kasama ko sina L-lucas at A-akira? Wouldn't that be very awkward? Bakit ang mga kaibigan ko, most of them are grouped up with the people they know? I mean, I do know Lucas and Akira but that's a different story. Lucas is in my past and Akira is in Lucas's past. It'll be really awkward.

When Miss Em said the last group, she continued saying, "I grouped you all based on your past and issues with each other. Try to resolve it while we're here and leave it all in the past. This is a chance for all of you to start fresh before separating in college. Please refrain from getting very loud and you can choose where you want to do your work just don't go upstairs. Just make sure to be back after an hour and a half." tumingin siya sa kanyang relo. "And that will be by ten o'clock. Let's all meet here. Hope you'll have a great morning."

Pagkatapos no'n binigyan na kami ng sarili naming supplies kaya nilapitan ko naman sina Akira at Lucas.

I tried to smile when I faced them but I know I failed.

May distance sa amin ni Lucas at katabi ko naman si Akira.

"Uhm," pagsisimula ko, "I think we should start looking for a place where we can work."

"Okay! How about outside, sa mga cottage?" suggestion naman ni Akira na ikinatango ko kaya napatingin kami kay Lucas.

"Is it okay?" tanong ko sa kanya at tumango na man siya kaya it's decided! Lumabas na kami at kumakapit sa akin si Akira sa braso.

She's really clingy 'noh? Maybe I misjudge her. Ganito lang ata talaga siya sa mga tao tapos pag hindi mo siya kilala, iisipin mong napakalandi niya.

Nang makarating kami sa cottage, walang electric fan or what. Okay lang na man dahil mahangin naman sa labas kaya nahahanginan na rin kami rito sa loob. Hindi rin naman mainit ang islang 'to dahil hindi gaanong polluted at ang daming puno.
