Chapter Twenty Two

KAZUMI

Usually, after a fight like that, marami na akong death threats na nakukuha.

Because they believe, I'm vulnerable at this state. Well I'm not. Usually kasi, pag-aalis na ako ng Gangster Dome after a fight, may susubok na labanan ako pero they end up failing. Kaya nag-tataka ako as to why there's no one trying to fight me.

Is it because of my Gang? Kahit dati naman, pag kasama ko sila hindi pa rin ako inuurungang kalabanin ng iba. What changed?

"If you're curious as to why there's no one attacking you, believe me, they're scared." narinig kong bulong sa'kin ni Jaz ng maabutan niya akong naglalakad.

"How'd you say so?"

"Kasi ngayong gabi ka lang nila nakitang ganoon. You weren't angry and sure, you weren't aggressive, but you almost killed her. Slowly. You were slow and that adds to her pain slowly building up. Kaya wag ka na mag-taka. After you practically rose from death? Girl kung maka-asta ka, para kang hindi nabugbog sa first round."

"True." sabat sa amin ni Angel.

"Really?" taas kilay kong tanong sa kanya. Nakita ko rin ang iba na nakikinig pala sa amin, at no'ng napatingin ako sa kanila ay bigla nilang iniwas ang tingin nila sa akin.

"Let's not talk here. Pumunta na tayo sa HQ mabuti pa." ani Coleen habang lumilingon-lingon, halatang nababalisa na. I can also sense that there's someone following us, but I can distinguish kung masama ba ito o mabuti.

"Okay."

Nang makarating kami sa HQ, agad akong umupo sa couch. Finally! After a few hours nakaupo rin sa malambot na upuan.

Nang nahimasmasan na ako, I faced them all, and surprisingly, they're all looking at me. Or maybe staring? Hindi ko 'yon napansin ah. Masyado ata akong na-carried away dito sa soft couch.

"Staring is rude, you know?" umiwas sila agad ng tingin ng sabihin ko yan.

"Kazumi, why'd you turn on full Death mode awhile ago?" Jaz asked.

"The first and last time I saw you like that was when you tried to kill me." dagdag naman ni Cee.

"And I recall nothing like it. When you fought me before, it was quick, not like that." sabi naman ni Elle kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.

"You fought me before?" takang tanong ko.

"Duh?! Can't you remember? 'Di ko ba nasabi sa'yo?"

"I think? Maybe I forgot."

"Back to the topic, Kazumi anong sumapi sayo?" sabat naman ni Angel.

"Ewan? She's so fun to play with. I bet she also had fun!" I excitedly said. What? Can't a girl have fun? Ang ganda kaya ng laro namin kanina ni Heaven.

"Girl, you almost killed her, what's the fun in that?" sagot naman ni Cleo with matching eye roll na ginantihan ko naman.

"Killed her? She was still fighting me when I ended the fight." I said, defending myself.

They really think I almost killed Heaven? Oh, no, no, no. I can't kill her. I like the game we're playing, so why would I kill my opponent? That'll be too easy for her. I'm not even sure kung napuruhan ba siya eh. Bet not.

"Kahit na, you showed no mercy."

"As if she was begging for me to spare her life."

"This isn't you, Kazumi." Coleen said, I rolled my eyes upon hearing what she said.

"This is me, okay? Can you please stop thinking that I am the same perfect girl as before because I am not. I am full of flaws and now that I can show it, then there's no stopping me." I stood up, heading for the door.

"Where are you going?" Jaz asked.

"I'm going home," I faced my sisters. "Are you going home with me?" they immediately stood up and in a blink of an eye, they were standing right in front of me.

"Okay then. We're heading home now. Take care you guys!" and we bid them farewell.

On the way home, no one dared to utter a word.

Well, I'm too tired to even converse with them and I guess they are too.

When we arrived home, we were surprised because someone greeted us with a really tight and surprising hug.

"Mom, what are you doing?" I asked as I was trying to free myself from her hug. Ganoon din ang ginawa ni Anne at Elle.

Well, for me this still new. Mom showing us this side of her? Uh yeah, it's still unexpected.

"I was only worried about my princesses. Thank God you're all alright."

"Okay lang po kami," Elle said at sumulyap sa akin. "But on the other hand, itong bunso natin ay nabugbog. Aba, nagpabugbog ba naman?"

"For your information, I'm okay. Okay ate? So don't worry. Konting galos lang naman 'to eh. 'Tsaka, hindi naman ako mamamatay." agad akong nakakuha ng batok galing sa dalawa.

Aba, pati si Anne nakikisali? This is unbelievable.

"Haynako, Kazumi. Halina nga kayo't sa loob na lang tayo mag-usap. I'll also clean your wounds so it won't get infected." before we could even utter a word, hinila nya na kami papasok sa loob.

"Ako na ang kukuha ng first aid kit." Anne volunteered so mom just nodded at her. Alam ko naman na ipapakuha lang ni mom sa isang mga maid ang first aid kit, but things have changed, there's two more added blessing in this family and I know they're not that used to just sitting around in tthe house and doing nothing, because compared to us, they've suffered enough. I don't think I can go though life without mom and dad.

Agad namang bumalik si Anne dala-dala ang first aid kit at agad na rin akong inasekasuhan ni mommy. Agad niya rin iyon natapos because I know she can feel how exhausted we are today. So after treating my wounds, we all decided to go upstairs and go to bed right away.

"Goodnight!" we told each other as we entered our own rooms.

After I washed my body, I dressed myself up and went straight to the bed.

"Ah, it feels so good to lay down on this soft mattress." I whispered to myself.

As I lay there, my mind wandering. I didn't realize that I had been smiling.

I am finally contented about how things are right now.

For the first time in a couple of months, I have finally fallen asleep knowing that I am happy for my life as it is.

    Finally, after a couple of months, nakapag-update na rin. Wala eh, lockdown so walang magawa hahaha.
