Chapter Ten

Kazumi

"Who's there?" takang tanong ko.

I stood up not knowing why I did stood up but it was all instincts so I proceeded going out.

Hindi naman ako pinanganak na chismosa – well slight lang naman.

As I was saying, sumunod naman sa akin ang mga kapatid ko at kaibigan ko. Nagtataka rin siguro sa kung anong meron sa labas as to why people are trying to look at something.

"Excuse me..." sumiksik ako sa nagkukumpulang estudyante just to see if what's all the buzz about.

Nang makarating na ako sa harap, agad akong na-shock.

"Jaz?!" gulat kong sambit. They're all here.

My gang-mates are all here.

"Kazumi! It's been a week? Or a month maybe?" nakangiting sabi niya then she hugged me.

"Oo nga! Where did you guys go? You left me all alone in the HQ." I pouted. Yes it's true, iniwan nila ako, buti na lang at kaya kong alagaan ang sarili ko. But there was once wherein nasugatan ako sa likod, I had no other choice but to go home and let it treated by my sisters. Since then, sinasamahan na nila ako sa mga laban ko.

"I'm sorry, Death. We went on a vacation and we haven't got the chance to inform you because, we were chased by some assassins, so ayon. We're really sorry Death." mahinang sabi niya. I understand them naman. But I wonder, bakit sila lang ang hinahabol ng assassins? Bakit hindi ako rin?

"I know you're curious as to why we were the only ones being chased." Aniya ulit. Napansin niya atang natulala ako sa kawalan.

"Why?"

Umiling siya and lumapit para bumulong. "Not here, the head could possibly be here."

Agad naman akong tumango at nag excuse. They gave way naman din.

Ngayon ko lang napansin, mukhang nagulat ata ang mga tao dahil magkakilala kami ni Jaz? Pero ang mas nakakagulat ay kilala nila ang grupo namin. Narinig ko kasing sinabi nila eh.

Nang makarating kami sa isang tagong lugar, umupo kami sa sahig.

Ba't ba? Eh sa trip namin.

Oh, by the way, andito ang mga kapatid ko at sina Cleo tsaka na rin ang mga gangmates ko. They're just silent. Feel ko nga kami lang ni Jaz ang nandito eh, kami lang kasi ang nag-uusap.

"Anyway, back to the story. But first," lumingon siya kay Cleo. "Is this place really closed? Baka mamaya, may makakarinig pa rin pala sa atin."

Umirap si Cleo bago sumagot. "First of all, I'm pretty sure I'm practically the only one that knows that this place exists here, okay? Plus, I'm not risking anything here. Kazumi's safety is important, so why'd you think I'll bring you to somewhere that might expose what you're going to say?"

"Okay, okay. Chill. I'm just asking." tumingin muna siya sa lagat bago nagpatuloy.

"So the reason why we went missing for the past month is because we did some research." may kinuha siya sa bag niya at pinakita sa akin. People wearing mask that's clearly not familiar to me but it screams DANGER.

"So what are these for?" takang tanong ni Elle. She also saw the pictures dahil pinakita ko 'to sa kanila.

"These are the photos our assassin's took while they were lurking around protecting us. Clearly, someone's following us." may tinuro siyang group of friends sa picture.

By the way, nakalatag sa sahig ang pictures so nakikita ng lahat kung anong tinutukoy ni Jaz.

"That's us." her fingers pointed at something or someone I mean who's wearing dark clothes and masks. "And these are the assassin's that were following us." tumango kaming lahat sa sinabi niya.

We clearly get the picture.

"When this was sent to us, we immediately investigated things. We then found out that this men belongs to the gangster named Heaven." napaisip ako sa sinabi niya.

Heaven... it sounds so familiar.

Ah! "Heaven, you mean that weakling I fought during summer? That girl who was wearing white?"

Agad tumango si Jaz. "Yes, that's her. But she's not a weakling anymore. She became stronger. Someone strong enough to make it on top five. And strong enough to form a gang."

Umiling ako. In that short period of time? She managed to be that strong? I mean, I'm not threatened but, wow. She sure is determined.

"Well sister, tingin ko may kalaban ka na?" Elle joked.

"I'm not scared. I'm still better than her, that's for sure."

"Wait!" Ella practically yelled.

"What?" takang tanong ni Cleo. Nainis ata sa sigaw ng kapatid ko. She only talks occasionally so baka nagulat si Cleo na may sumigaw sa tabi niya.

"Why isn't Kazumi chased if your gang is being targeted?" takang tanong ni Elle na ikinangisi ni Jaz.

"At least someone realized that!" she clapped for awhile. "She wasn't chased because she's the main target. They were just chasing us to scare us away so that lumayo kami kay Kazumi and she'll be left all alone."

"Eh bakit hindi siya sinaktan?" asked Gia.

"Because, they couldn't. They need to be stronger and in that short period of time, hindi nila kaya. Nakampante sila masyado na hindi kami babalik so they really didn't rush their training."

"So they thought you weren't coming back to be there with Kazumi?" tanong ni Ella.

"Yes, but sad for them, bumalik kami. And not just that!" parang excited niyang sabi.

"What?" inis na tanong ni Cleo. Okay, hindi naman bisto na galit siya noh?

Ay oo nga pala, sino ba namang hindi maiinis. She used her power so that we would be excuse in our classes.

She hates that though. Ayaw na ayaw niyang ginagamit ang position niya para lang 'di makapasok, she doesn't think that it's fair daw.

"We trasfered here dahil nabalitaan namin, dito rin siya nag-aaral!"

"What?! A deadly monster was enrolled here? What the hell?" bulaslas ni Cleo pero agad naman siyang natahimik. Maybe she was thinking that my sisters were once like that.

"Just kidding..."

"So what's your plan?" biglang sabi ni Coleen, buti't nagising na ang diwa nila?

"I won't let anyone touch my girl." biglang sabi ng nasa likod namin na ikinagulat ng lahat.

Sorry for not updating for so long... buti't nakapag-update pa ako despite being so busy. I hope you'd understand dahil grade ten na ako and one thing's for sure, people are starting to get TOXIC. Myghad, di kaya ng powers ko. Charot hahaha!
