I walked into the school, as I heard whispers from the groups standing around.
I ignored them, when a girl spoke loud enough for me to heard. “Did you hear? Horus sat with Y/n in the bus yesterday?”
“What? Really? I thought she didn’t like people,” the girl’s friend answered.
“Rumours spread faster than wildfire,” I said for myself.
“Y/n!” I recognised the voice. Rick. I didn’t turn around to face him. “I heard you sat with someone in the bus. Making friends?”
I turned and looked at him. “I am surprised you heard. I thought your ignorance would have filled your ears.” I gave him a small smile and walked away.
“Really? He sat with her?” the first girl’s friend said.
“Yeah. I don’t understand it either. She doesn’t seem that friendly,” the first answered.
“I can hear you, you know,” I said as I passed them. I gave them a small smile.
They jumped a bit before they quickly walked away.
I normally wouldn’t call someone out like that, but I don’t wanna deal with people talking behind my back. I knew it was impossible to avoid, but then at least I could try to avoid rumours to form.
