Fox looked around the square in satisfaction, turning to walk up the platform. She approached you, staring you down before turning to face the crowd.

"Good evening, citizens of the Village Hidden in the Night! I am Fox, member of the gracious Council!"

She cleared her throat. "Several weeks ago, a plan came to action. A plan to overthrow the Council!"

Lion's fingers dug into your shoulders, silencing you as you gritted your teeth.

Fox continued. "Today, the rebels will face their justifiable end. Today, we will make history!"

You glared at the Council member as if to say, What the f*ck are you doing?

She shrugged. "If you have any last words, speak them now."

Your eyes traveled across the masses. "I-" Your voice cracked and you shook your head, trying again. "I tried. I'm sorry it wasn't enough."

The rebel man who smiled in the prison turned to look up at you. Such sad, broken eyes.

You never took your eyes off him as you spoke. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't save you." He looked away.
