Thanksgiving

"Kara, you ready?" Barry asked from the other side of the bathroom door.

"Not yet" She said as Barry chuckled

"You've been in there for 30 minutes."

"But i'm meeting your Dad and i wanna look nice." Kara said opening the door

"He'll love you, don't worry." Barry said wrapping his arms around Kara's waist from behind

"Really? look at my hair, it's a mess." Kara said pointing at the mirror

"Babe, you look fine." Barry said kissing her cheek

"No bu-" Kara was going to talk but was cut off by Barry spinning her around to face him

"No buts, Mr Danvers." He said as she smiled

"My mistake, Mr Danvers-Allen." He corrected as Kara smiled wider

"I can't wait." She said as she gave Barry a kiss

"C'mon help me set up my Dad, your Mom and Alex will be here soon." Barry said walking out of the bathroom with Kara behind him

A few hours later Barry and Kara were on the couch watching 'The Wizard of Oz' when there was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it babe." Barry said getting up but seeing Kara's frown when he did

"Love you." Barry said kissing her cheek as she smiled widely at him

He opened the door and was greeted by Henry Allen smiling.

"Hey slugger." He said as Barry hugged his father

"Hey dad, glad you could make it." Barry said as Kara came to the door

"Oh dad this is my fiancee Kara Danvers, Kara this is my dad Henry Allen." Barry said smiling as Kara and Henrgy exchanged a hug

"Nice to meet you Mr. Allen." Kara said smiling as Henry shook his head

"No, if you make my son happy, then by all means call me Henry." Henry said as Kara nodded

"Are we expecting anyone else?" Henry asked as they walked back into their apartment

"Yeah, just my Mom, my older sister and her girlfriend." Kara said smiling as Henry nodded

"So, Kara tell me about yourself." Henry said as they sat on the couch

"Well, i'm a reporter for the CCPN and i'm in love with a certain son of yours." Kara said remembers how Barry met her mom.

"Okay, tell me about your family." Henry asked clearly already taking a liking to Kara.

"Uhh well my actual parents died in a fire when i was 11 and Eliza Danvers took me in and raised me along with her daughter Alex Danvers." Kara said as Henry's smile faded

"I'm sorry to hear that." Henry said as Kara shook her head

"It's fine." She said as he smiled. After a few more minutes of talking there as another knock at the door.

"I'll get it." Kara said kissing Barry's cheek and running to the door.

"She's a keeper Barry." Henry said as Barry smiled like a little kid

"I know, i love her so much." Barry said smiling at her as she hugged her mom and sister

"I'm glad, you too are perfect for eachother." Henry said putting his hand on Barry's shoulder

"Why does everyone say that." Barry said laughing

"Because it's true." Henry said smiling. There conversation was interrupted by Eliza and Alex walking over as Caitlin followed

"Hi, Mr. Allen." Eliza said holding out her hand as Henry shook it

"Please, call me Henry." He said as Eliza nodded

"Very well, then call me Eliza." She said as Kara ran over and nearly tripped

"This is my older sister, Alex and her girlfriend Caitlin Snow." Kara said as Barry held onto her 

"Calm down, babe." Barry said laughing

"Sorry, i'm just really excited." Kara said smiling innocently and Barry kissed her temple

"Hey, nice to meet you." Alex said shaking Henry's hand

"Likewise." He said as he shook Caitlin'a hand as well

"So what do you do?" Eliza asked Henry

"I'm a doctor" Henry said proudly

"Really, a family of scientists." Eliza said smiling at Barry and Henry

"Caitlin is also a doctor." Alex said as Caitlin smiled a but shyly

"Yeah..." Caitlin said smiling. Barry loved having a familiar face around even though this Caitlin was a but shyer then the Caitlin he grew to love.

The six sat down on and ate their Thanksgiving dinner but before they did Barry stood up after Kara telling him about the Danvers tradition.

"So we don't do this, but Kara told me about your family tradition so i figured why not introduce it here as well." Barry said smiling as Kara smiled at him

"I just ask everyone to tell us what you're greatful for this year." He said

"I guess i'll go first."

"I'm thankful for my Dad being here and supportive. I'm also thankful for my beautiful soon-to-be wife, Kara Danvers-Allen." He said smiling as Kara blushed a bit. Barry smiled and sat down as Kara stood up.

"Wait what?!" Alex asked choking on her wine as Kara smiled widely and held up her hand to show her ring

"My baby sister is getting married!!" Alex said excitedly and giving her sister a warm and bone crushing hug

"I'm happy for you sweeite." Eliza said walking over and joining the hug. After they hugged and Alex stopped crushing Kara's bones they sat down as Kara smiled t everyone

"I'm thankful for my mother and the best big sister in the world for taking me in all those years ago, an i'm thankful for Caitlin making my sister happy and finally i'm thankful for Barry, being the best  boyfriend in the world and i can't wait to be Kara Danvers-Allen." Kara said smiling and sitting back down.

The others went around and said what they were thankful for. Barry smiled at everyone as they began to eat. He was truely thankful that his Dad was alive and healthy, and now he was going to be married to Kara in a few months and couldn't be happier. He constantly thought about telling everyone on Earth-1 and Earth-38 that he was still alive, but why would he? He has all he needs in life.
