A Whole New World

The first thing Barry did was try and use speed and saw that his speed was gone. He smiled and began walking around the city he had saved so many times. As far as he could tell he was still a CSI and in this new world his Dad was still alive but his mother had died in a car accident when he was 11. He didn't even try and look for Iris, he did truely love her but he wanted to restart his life from scratch. Barry walked into Jitters for a coffee and accidently bumped into a familiar blonde girl.

"Kara?" He asked

"Ummm how do you know my name." Kara asked a bit scared

"Oh, sorry i saw your name on your cup." He said pointing to her cup as she smiled and laughed. Barry had only now noticed how beautiful Kara was and how bright her laugh was.

"Yeah, so now that you know my name what's your name?" Kara asked

"Oh, my name is Barry, Barry Allen." He said holding out his hand

"Kara Danvers." She said shaking his hand.

"So are you here by yourself?" Barry asked

"Nope i'm actually on a date, who is now flirting with another girl." Kara said frowning 

"Why don't me and you grab a coffee?" Barry asked smiling

"Like a date?" Kara teased as Barry's face turned red

"No uh i meant as friends." Barry said laughing nervously as Kara laughed at him

"I know i was teasing you." She said laughing as Barry shook his head and laughed along

"You seem familiar." Kara said squiting her eyes at Barry

"What, maybe i just have one of those faces." Barry said handing Kara her cup of coffee

'A damn handsome face' Kara said in her head 

The two sat down and talked for what felt like hours just getting to know each other and laughing about embarrasing stories. Barry couldn't tell if this Kara was an alien or not and decided to find out another day. He and Kara were so deep in coversation that he accidently knocked a glass of the table and shattered it on the floor. 

"Oh crap." Barry said grabbing some napkins.

"Here let me help you." Kara said picking up the pieces she put some pieces on the table and cut her finger in the process.

'guess that's one way to find out' Barry thought

"Sorry, here." He said handing Kara a napkin

"Thanks." She said as Barry clean up the rest of the mess

After Barry had cleaned up the mess he and Kara went on a walk in the park

"It's getting pretty late i should probaly head home now." Barry said as he noticed Kara's smile turn into a frown.

"But, here is my number if you ever want to hang again." Barry said smiling and handing her a piece of paper.

"Thanks, i had a great time today." She said smiling

"On what our date." Barry teased as Kara blushed

"No i meant ou-" Kara was cut off by Barry laughing

"I know i was teasing you." He said laughing as Kara laughed as well

"Maybe we can hangout some time if you want." Kara asked.

"Perfect how about lunch tomorrow." He said smiling as she nodded

"Sounds like a plan." She smiling

"Alright great see you tomorrow." Barry said waving and walking back to his apartment.

He got home and went straight to the bathroom to have shower and then go to sleep. He climbed into bed thinking about his 'date' tomorrow and he knew he loved Iris but Kara was special. He couldn't explain his sudden attraction to Kara.
