Chapter 14

(Y/n) POV

Our time of detention had been over for a while now and during the past couple of weeks I've gotten closer with all of my roommates and everyone else as else. I was really like it at this criminal school; however, this...I wasn't a fan of. At all. I was standing in the front of the front gate at night with scary ghosts, spiders, and whatever you can imagine belongs in Halloween. And I wasn't alone. Usopp, Nami, and Chopper joined me. But can someone explain to me how the four most terrified people in the school end up in one group together. No seriously. I need to know how this happened to me.

Flashback

For some strange reason, Doflamingo hand called everyone for a meeting in the auditorium without even explaining why.
"I wonder why he called us." Usopp said.
"Me too. It's weird. He didn't say anything." I agreed. We all sat down in our seats at the back of the large room. I was next to Sanji because he wanted to and Usopp.
"Are they going to talk about changing giving us more food?"
"Is food the only thing on your mind!!!" Sanji yelled. "No!" Luffy replied but the meat in his eyes say otherwise.
"You're lying!!"
"Do you guys think this is important?" Chopper asked.
"Who knows." Zoro said.
"It must have something to do with Halloween since it is coming up." Robin answered.
"Halloween?" We all repeated.
"Yes. He did the same thing last year."
"Are we going to have a haunted house!!?" Luffy asked with the meat in his eyes replaced with stars.
"I hope not." Usopp said.
"Anything but that. I think I might die."
"I didn't know you shared my fear (y/n)."
"Oh trust. I'm terrified of anything scary."
"Please let it be a party." Nami prayed.
"Anything but a haunted house!" Chopper cried.
"Fufufufu. Everyone be quiet." And just like that, the hall was silenced. "I'm sure that anyone who was here last year already knows what's coming but this is new to our first years."
"Please don't say haunted house. Please don't say haunted house. Please don't say haunted house." Usopp prayed over and over again.
"As you already know, Halloween is coming in a few days. That beautiful day where we can scare each other however much we want. This is a school of criminals so this might interest you guys."
"Please! Please! Please!" Now Chopper, Nami, and I had joined in on Usopp's prayer. If there is a god up there please let this be a party. Please! I don't ask for much.
"So I have a fun little game for all of you.... a haunted house over the entire campus."
"Yeah!!!!" Everyone started cheering in excitement while the four of us just froze. He said it. A haunted house.
"N-N-Noooo!!! I can't handle this!!!" Nami cried holding her head while nodding her head.
"I don't wanna! I don't wanna!!" Chopped cried.
"I didn't here anything!" Usopp denied covering his ears.
"God why!!!"
"(Y/n)-chwan don't you worry about a thing I'll protect! I promise to stay in your arms all night!!"
"I wanna die! God, why!"
"How do you have a celestial familiar and yet you can't handle some little haunted house?" Zoro asked.
"That doesn't mean anything! I can't be scared!"
"This is going to be so cool!!"
"A haunted house does sound like it can be fun. But are there any rules?" Franky asked and then heard Sanji mumbled some nonsense with hearts in his eyes. "What is wrong with you?"
"This is my chance to show (y/n)-chan how much I love her. I'm going to be the sweet prince that protects her from the monsters and then she'll love me and we'll get married."
"I think you skipped something." Franky sweatdropped as Robin giggled.
"Gross." Zoro said with a straight face turning Sanji's happy face to one of pure rage.
"What was that you useless swordman!!"
"Quiet down everyone." Doflamingo began. "I have to explain how this works. To make things more interesting, there will be groups up to four people."
"We have groups?!" Usopp and Chopper exclaimed.
"Thank you, thank you!" Nami cried.
"Bless god!"
"I'm with them!!!" At the same time, we all pointed to Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy. When we realized that we all looked at each other sharing a look.
"Okay, we know what we have to do." Nami said and Usopp shook his head in agreement. "We're going to have to split them we each get someone."
"Agreed." Chopped and I said.
"But don't forget..." Doflamingo began. "The entire school will be split in half. One half will be the ones that scare and the other half will be the ones to get scared."
"Eh?" The four of us questioned.
"And I'll pick what team goes where."
"Eh?!?!?!?"
"There will be no classes for that day and teachers will participate only to set up the haunted experience. And don't get forget, for the entire Halloween night, whoever is on the scarier team.... can use your familiars."
"Yeah!!!!!!"
"Alright!! Let's go!!"
"Best day!!"
"Halloween!! I'm going to win this time!!!"
"What happened to you guys?" Franky asked.
"I believe it's too much for them." Robin giggled. All four of us cried in defeat. This is going to be the worst Halloween of my life. Maybe the worst day.
"You're done complaining?" Franky asked.
"What's the point?" Usopp asked.
"Why do they have to do this?" I added depressed.
"What do you mean?! This is the coolest thing ever!! I can't wait!! I wanna scare people!"
"I wonder what the prize is. Either way it's going to be interesting." Zoro smirked.
"And this year's prize is.... 50,000 beli cash prize."
"50,000 beli?!?!?" Nami exclaimed with beli signs in her eyes.
"Now you're interested!!!" Usopp yelled.
"Okay guys, I except you to win that 50,000 beli for me!!!"
"Aye, Nami-swan!"
"To win this high cash prize there are things you have to do. For those who have to scare people..... whoever scares the most wins. And for those who are suppose to get scared....whoever reached their room the fastest without getting scared wins. Each half gets a winner. Sounds fun, doesn't it?"
"Yeah!!!!"
"I'm ready to start this now!!"
"Get ready to be scared out of your boots!"
"Now I only have one rule....no fighting. That's too much of a nuisance for me. But...everything else is allowed. Have fun." I'm not sure what happened to the four of us but I know we were working properly. We all froze with fear.
"Are you really that scared?" Franky asked. He waited but none of us answered.
"I think they are broken." Robin giggled. "It's too much for them."

After Doflamingo's crazy announcement everyone in the school was already looking for who they were going to partner up with while we headed to Luffy's room. I still couldn't believe it.
"I don't want to do this!!" Usopp screamed.
"It's scary! Too scary!!" Chopper cried.
"And I can't even have Mizuka with me! I don't wanna do this!"
"It's okay." Mizuka said sweetly in her adorably calming voice.
"You can be on my team!" Luffy said.
"Really?! Thank you Luffy!" I hugged him the raved haired male as he laughed proudly.
"Wait a minute Luffy! I already said I was going to have (y/n)-chan in my team!"
"Then it can be us three."
"I guess that works. As long as I'm with you, (y/n)-chan."
"What about me?" Nami asked. "You'll let me be with you right Sanji."
"Of course Nami-swan!"
"What about us!!!" Usopp and Chopper yelled.
"You guys can die for all I care." Usopp and Chopper started arguing with Sanji until someone suddenly entered the room.
"I told you she would be here." Sabo said.
"Sabo! Ace!"
"What are you doing here?" Luffy asked.
"We just wanted to ask (y/n) if she wanted to team up with us." Sabo answered.
"So what do you say?"
"Well, umm—."
"She's already on my team!" Luffy declared weapons his arms around my waist to pull me in.
"Don't grab her like that!!!" Sanji yelled striking Luffy's head and forcing him to let me go.
"Why'd you hit me?"
"Fine, if she's on your team then it can be the four is us." Ace suggested.
"This isn't looking good." Robin stated with a smile although I wasn't sure what she meant by that.
"You're right." Franky agreed grabbing his laptop away from the bed. Why is he doing that?
"Okay. Luffy answered.
"Did you already forget you idiot!! I am with (y/n)-chwan no matter what you hear me! You two can leave now. We already set up the teams."
"That's not fair we weren't even here!" Ace fired back.
"I don't care."
"(Y/n)'s with us!" Ace declared pulling my arm.
"No she's not!" Sanji pulled me back and behind his back. "Allow me to handle this."
"Sanji don't get in the way."
"Shut up! (Y/n)-chan is with me."
"(Y/n)'s with me!!!!" Luffy yelled.
"Shut up idiot!!!" Sanji and Ace yelled at the same time using their own special attack to send Luffy flying away. And just like that there was a full out battle going on in the middle of Nami's room between Ace, Sanji, and Luffy. Sabo tried to keep the peace but kept getting hit by flying items and joined as well. And I wasn't even surprised when Zoro joined in as well after Sanji has managed to provoke. The right got a little out of hand and long story short. The neighbors complained and we were all send to the principal's even. Even Nami, Robin, and the rest of us who didn't even fight at all.
"Halloween hasn't even started and you guys are already fighting. You're group seems to always cause trouble."
"If the cook would just listen to me this wouldn't have been a problem." Ace complained.
"Shut up! Flame brain!"
"Flame brain! Why you...! Shut it you damned pervert. I'm gonna end you!"
"Get in line. I'm the one who's going to kill swirly brow."
"I'll turn you both into fillet right now."
"I'll cut you into pieces cook."
"Not is I burn him first."
"Sit down flame boy. I already said I was going to kill him."
"I'll roast you next lost boy if you call me that again."
"What was that?" Zoro asked with a dark look in his eyes. This may have started off with teams but I don't this it's about me anymore. They look ready to kill. Why isn't Doflamingo stopping them? Most principal's would have done something by now but he looks like he's enjoying this.
"(Y/n), I'm bored. Let's leave." Luffy suggested.
"Not yet Luffy."
"Anyway it seems I have to punish you myself." Doflamingo said interrupting the fight about to occur. "And I know just how." His eyes looked around the room finally landing on me before his smirk grew further. "Team that will be scared is....Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and (y/n)."
"Eh?"

Flashback over

Oh, that's how. This really isn't fair at all. I wasn't even the one fighting but I'm getting punished. There is no way Usopp, Nami, Chopper, and I can survive this. No way. There's no way we're getting that cash prize. Even from where we are standing, I can hear the screams. The place looks terrifying and we haven't even entered yet. It looks like a real life haunted house. It was a cloudy night so the moon closing shine its light not to mention the fact that it was a little foggy. I don't wanna be here!
