Bucky and Maddie stood in front of the apartment door. Maddie knocked and Bucky could feel his heart racing. The door opened and Maddie saw her father. He looked pretty beat.
"Where have you been!? I have been worried sick." Steve said pulling Maddie into a hug and then Bucky came into view.
"Bucky?" Steve asked.
"I remember Steve. All of it." Bucky responded.
Steve could feel a few tears come to his eyes. Bucky then brought him into a hug. Then Steve kissed Bucky on the lips. It lasted for a good minute. Maddie hoped no one would chose now to be a good time to walk into the hallway of the apartment building. Steve broke the kiss.
"I have missed you so much buck" Steve said hugging him again.
"I've missed you too" Bucky responded.
Maddie could help but smile. She loved that they were both so happy again. Bucky had become very comfortable very fast. It was a bit weird that after all the brain washing and the killer still being inside of him that he got used to touch and all that so fast. Maddie wondered how her hug could have been so powerful? But that didn't matter now. They were a family again! A month had gone by and they all got used to living together again.
