The three Mysticals

Chapter 25

" It doesn't seems like this place ever got burnt. " Ariana glanced at the two story house infront of her in Strasbourg.

" just old. " Carl added.

" why he lied to me about his family? " she cynisised.

Jacob placed her hand on her shoulder to console her " Don't get upset because of him. Let's do what we are here for. "

Ariana nodded and all three of them entered in the house. It was dark, covered in cobwebs and dust. Paintings, antiques and everything kept there was manky and undusted. The faces in the pictures kept in that house were scribbled with a pen. The floor had blood stains as if someone was killed here years ago.

" look at these blood stains. " Ariana pointed.

" something must have happened here. " Jacob said.

Carl stayed down to scout the living room, kitchen and one bed room. Ariana and Jacob went upstairs. On the first floor there was two narrow hallways one was going straight where the stairs ended and had two rooms facing each other and other was going right with one bedeoom. Ariana went straight and Jacob to the right.

The room in which Ariana was standing was a girls room, must be his sisters. She opened the cupboard rummaged through it but she couldn't found anything worthy. She foraged other places of the room too but nothing came in her hand. She was about to leave but thought that she hadn't looked under the bed. So, she turned, knelt down and lifted the bedsheet and she actually saw something. A vintage trinket box was laying there against the wall. She stretched her hand and took it out and then stood up. She tried opening it but it was locked. While doing that she saw someones silhouette through the window proceeding towards this house. She moved closer to the window but couldn't recognize that person at first but the other second she did.

She hurtled out of the room " J! Carl! "

Jacob came stood beside Ariana as he was on the first floor and Carl stood downstairs in the hall " what happened? "

" I saw Andrew through the window. Let's move out faster. "
Ariana spoke swiftly and with a snap they transferred them to Paris. "

" what he was doing there? We couldn't complete our task. " Jacob snapped.

" but I found something. " Ariana showed them the box.

" what's in it? " Carl queried.

" it's not opening. "

" let me try. " Jacob took it from her.

He tried all his strenght but it didn't. He sighed " it won't. Let's go to Eroba and think about it clearly. "

" finally this box opened. " Jacob tossed back on Ariana's bed. For hours they have been busy unlocking this box and now they did.

" let's see what's in this. " Ariana opened that trinket " two wands and many photographs. "

Most of the pictures were of two persons one a middle aged man and a young girl. They looked through all the photographs and picked out one which had the whole family.

" this is Kevin and this is her mom. " Ariana pointed out " I haven't seen any of the others ever but we might assume that this Kevin's dad, this her sister and this his bro........ "

" why you paused? " Jacob asked

" his brother looks just like the younger version of Andrew. " she said without removing her finger from the photograph.

" yeah." Carl glanced where Ariana's finger was placed " We can't be mistaken as when Andrew came he was fifteen this picture looks like to be taken five years before that. " Carl said.

" and I think I've seen this girl somewhere. " Jacob scratched his forhead and stared the girl in the photograph trying to remember where she saw her " I recalled. " he said " when we were going through the criminal files in the record room I saw her picture their. Her name is Sofia Haycraft. She....... "

" she killed your grandparents. " Carl cut in.

" you are right Carl. " Ariana said " and if Andrew is Sofia's brother then it might be possible that Vanessa is Sofia. She returned with a new face and a new name. " Ariana claimed.

" then it means that....."

" Kevin is Vanessa's brother. " Carl completed the sentence.

" if Kevin is there brother then he must be a part of there plan too. "

" what if he don't even know about her plan. " Ariana mentioned.

" I know you love him Ani but don't get blind in love that you get yourself in danger. If he really loves you then why did he lied to you about his family dying in a house fire,why didn't he told you he is a wizard, why didn't he told you that he is king Benedick's son, why didn't he told you that Vanessa and Andrew are his siblings. " Jacob ballocked.

Ariana sat on the edge of her bed " I want to believe this but my heart don't. I just- "

She was impeded by Jessica and Susan who bolted in her room.

" Ani... Th...." Jessica panted and half squatted and placed her palms on her thighs.

" breath in. " Carl said

" there's a nasty news. " Susan stated after restoring her breath.

" what? "

" we found the culprit behind all those missing persons. " Jessica said.

" now there are total eleven missing. We caught the guy who was transferring people from here to Paris. " Susan explained " for Vanessa. "

" Vanessa! " Ariana stood up " now what she is up-to. "

" she want to gain back her powers and for that she has to offer eleven lifes to the God of powers. "

" oh god! "

" We have to do something or she....... "

Jessica was chimed in by Kevin who just opened the door  and stood in the doorway of Ariana's room.

" everyone is gathered here. " Kevin closed the the door and moved in.

Jacob infuriated on seeing him. He clenched his fist tightly and moved a step towards Kevin but Ariana held his hand and stopped him " Kev do you......"

Their talk was again impeded. This time by a knock on the door.

" come in. " Ariana yelled.

One of the guards set foot in and bowed by his face it could be easily assumed the he has something awful to tell " your highness, mysticals have been stolen. "

" what! " everyone's jaws dropped and eyes popped out hearing this news.

They quickly sprinted to the place in which the mysticals have been kept.

At the end of a long narrow hallway stairs were spiraling up to the top of floor of the palace which was rotunda, in which the mysticals were secured by casting around it and the hallway watched by ten guards.

" how did it happen? " Albert squalled at the guards who were watching the mysticals " after so much security. Where were you all when this happened? "

No one said a word they just kept looking down.

" have you seen anyone coming in here before the mysticals gone missing? "

One of the guards nodded.

" who? "

He pointed at Kevin.
