" I will run as fast as I can to wherever my customer desires. I am Auto Memories Doll, Violet Evergarden. " A girl who almost appears to have popped out of a fairy tale with her blonde hair and blue eyes, said this with her inorganic beauty and sweet voice.

Personal Opinion Section

" Violet Evergarden is a very interesting anime.  It follows Violet, who has spent most of her life as a " weapon of war " but when the war is over, she has to find new meaning. She struggles understanding human emotions, especially what love means. When I watched it, I thought she was a robot because of how distant she was compared to people around her; however, the more you watch the anime, the more you start to realise that was just how she was raised.

The music to this anime is really  ice to listen too as well. It works well within the scenes, and add a nice touch. The music is never forced like I think some anime will do. Another neat aspect of this anime is the artwork. I can't tell you how many scenes there were where it's just breathtaking.

Honestly, overall, Violet Evergarden is one of my favourite animes, one in which I couldn't watch anything afterwards due to how amazing it was. I'd really recommend this to anyone watching anime, regardless if they like action, comedic or dramatic ones as it has something for everyone. "

" Violet Evergarden is a very much slow burning, emotional anime based about war. It is based on war due to war happening before the show actually starts and moves forward, so the foundation of the show and it's heavy emotion is because of war.

Most of the time you have to think like you are in the character's shoes, or relate to them for the anime to actually give a huge impact. Although I do say it is mainly an emotional story, there are times when there are flashbacks and heartstring pulling fight scenes that do occur. The action isn't overly long and makes you wish that no one but the people the main character is fighting suffers, and even then, not a lot.

I find that some parts of the show the anime will drag on, but this may be so the main character learns things, and so you become very attached to the other characters that come along. It really makes you appreciate what you have, and feel sympathy for the main character and the things she goes through to try and understand love and herself at times.

The characters in the show are very different at times and each have their own personality, whether that be them being bright and emotional or dark and wallowing in the past. You have to think a lot and the art in the show is stunning and helps a lot with that. Some camera angles are a little annoying but I guess they are understandable.

Overall the show is very good and I think it is one of those shows you would want to watch quite a few episodes of before taking a break because breaking the chain of emotion that builds up may slightly take away from the show. I wouldn't watch the show again, mainly because I know what happens and the impact wouldn't be the same.  But I will say that it was an incredible show that I watched. "

Memorable Quotes

" Do I have any right after I killed so many people as a weapon? I must have prevented them from keeping promises of their own! Promises they made to loved ones of their own! Everything I've done so far has sparked a flame that is now burning me up. "
