" The Ones Within is a game that have the reputation as " the kidnap game", as many of its players disappeared after clearing it. Akatsuki Iride is not an exception. After clearing it, he woke up on an unknown island, and is forced to play a real life version of The Ones Within with teammates that are other streamers who also posted content related to the game. As they progress, more mysteries were found.

Watching those mysteries unfold is quite thrilling. Even though many of them are already predicted by the viewers, it just hot different to see it in front of your eyes. What's nice to me is that The Ones Within is not too dark, nor is it too light-hearted. The series always has that nice balance going on, so the twists doesn't just traumatizes you or just flew through your head. The concept isn't exactly new, but Osora-sensei managed to make it unique. The story flows smoothly and is sectioned using stages of the game, which fits nicely. I think we can also agreed that the characters are quite unique. They each have their own screentime, unlike many other shows that focus solely on the main character. Osora-sensei love them so much that you can find a lot of bonuses and side stories on their Twitter, which make the characters even more charming. Overall, The Ones Within is a well balanced series that I would recommend to pretty much anyone. Good story, good plot, good characters, really worth your time."

"The Ones Within is an anime with 12 episodes which also has a manga. The protagonist, Akatsuki Iride, is a gamer who streams online, being specialized in RPG and escape games. One day, he plays a game called "The ones within " which is rumoured for many gamers playing it and disappearing just before clearing the game. After playing it too, Akatsuki faints and wakes up in an unknown place. He finds other players who also came after playing the game and a man called Alpaca informs them that they are allowed to live only after getting enough views by playing games that are prepared for them. If they refuse, they will have to be sent to a white room and the only way for them to escape is to listen and play games. A fun anime with amazing characters and fun games they play! Very entertaining and very much reccomended for people who like games. "

" For fans of Danganronpa or mysteries in general, The Ones Within is the rabbit hole you want to jump into. With the audience knowing as much as the main cast themself, it's a mystery lacking most of the grotesque actions in Danganronpa but not plot-wise. That's not to say that The Ones Within has no elements of horror or creepiness but they're so far in the story and so well emdebbed into the plot that it takes a while to figure out that, " yes that's what is happening " and it's a very common mood. The anime follows a 12 episode series and then a OVA, each episode building up to a quite satisfying point yet still leaving the viewer in question. "
