" I've picked Mashle up again after a long while. I didn't drop it. I just caught up with the manga and waited for it to update. Before I knew it, the chapter count went from 91 to 134.

Many who read mashle might soon enough see it's similarities between Harry Potter especially the magic school and outcast aspect of it. In my humble opinion, I view this as an absolute win because, Mashle (whether it is intended or not ) can serve as a parody to Harry Potter. The idea of a parody only adds to the comedic part of Mashle.

If you do pick up Mashle, I'd like to recommend not going into it with extremely high expectations. Personally, I started the manga because I was curious. It's your typical kind of shonen except the fact that the MC is OP and with reason. When I read Mashle i'm always having a blast: the characters albeit sometimes over the top are funny and interesting enough to keep things intriguing, the battles are great, the artstyle good. The plot line although somewhat typical has a rather good pacing. Oh, and the plotwist; quite unexpected take on why Mash, the main character, is so has superhuman physical abilities.

One thing comes to mind everytime I think of Mashle; the fight against the puppeteer guy. The art contributed to make everything even more scarier and the image of giant puppets stuck in my mind.

In the end, Mashle us an enjoyable read. It's good if you're looking for something new, fun and sometimes absurd to read. "

That's all for today. It concludes this year's worth of very unorganised to do list I had. I hope Mashle piqued your interest and that you might give at least the anime a try when it comes out next year.

Happy New Year!
