One Year Later...

After the nightmare of Lester and his heinous plans, life seemed to settle quite nicely. Katie was celebrating her third birthday and has entered into the "Terrible Two's" a little late. Thankfully, I don't have to wrangle her in to behave, because Jordan has that well in hand. I, on the other hand, am becoming bored! I endured difficult labor which scared Jordan witless, and he has forbidden me to leave our bed, I feel like I am going stir crazy. I keep trying to tell him, that I am fine, and have regained my strength again, but he still does not listen.

The Crying of an infant that's coming from the nursery, has me wanting to get up and check on the babies. Yep, I said it correctly..., Babies! I had Twins! An Adorable Little Girl whom we have named Taisie who looks like the female version of Jordan and my coloring, and her twin brother Gideon, and he looks like me but has Jordan's gorgeous deep blue eyes. I don't hear anyone going to them, so I throw aside the covers and get out of the bed and tip-toe my way towards the nursery. I'm just about to enter the room when I can sense that Jordan is standing behind me, and he is not happy that I have disobeyed him.

"Wife! what are you doing out of bed?"

I sigh and turn around to face him,

"Jordan, my love, I'm fine. I don't need to rest! I am sick and tired of laying about, and I heard the twins crying, so I got out of bed to cuddle them."

I said within the exasperated tone of my tired voice.
He unfolded his arms and laid them to rest on my shoulders,

"I'm just worried for you Laura, the labor was difficult for you and I almost lost you." He said as his hand raised towards my face and caressed me.

I leaned into his embrace and smiled wondering what I did to deserve such a loving man. I took a deep breath and stared lovingly at him,

"my love you do not have to worry, yes the labor was difficult, but I'm here, I'm alive, and I'm not going anywhere so you must calm down. Let me tend to the children and we'll see how strong I am." We hugged one another and headed towards the nursery, hopefully, our little family will grow and prosper in the many years to come.
