It must have been some kind of God or something that made me leave the bathroom right on time because the same second as I walked out, the man shouted the name I least wanted to hear.

"L/N Y/N FROM THE CAPITAL! L/N Y/N!"

I gulped and walked towards the opening that I saw the first girl walk through. When I heard my name being called my heart started pounding against my chest. Of course I wasn't nervous that I would say anything wrong or do anything wrong because that I didn't care about. However, it was still scary as hell to meet the ones I've detested my whole life. They were going to be only inches away from me and I reminded myself to keep calm even though all I would want to do was to stick knifes through their evil and dark hearts.

I walked through the opening in the wall and then through a door which lead to a room formed as a circle with a higher ceiling than the hall. I moved my eyes up and in front of me, the king and queen sat beside each other in huge thrones while they were staring me out. In front of them, slightly below, the seven princes sat in similar thrones. Their clothes were adorned with perfectly shaped jewelry and when the chandelier above me shone on them, it made them even more visible, which only reminded me how ugly this family have created this country.

I stopped quite far away from them, but I could still hear them clearly because of the echo the hall created.

"Age?" The king asked with a tired voice and my attention fell on him. He was tall and muscular, quite handsome for his age, but he did not look like his sons at all and all I saw was ugliness.

"Y/A (your age)." I answered emotionlessly and my gaze filled with curiosity wandered to the seven men. The oldest sat to the left and the youngest to the right. Of course I knew their names and their ages. The whole country knew because the only news we get is about this fucking family.

Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook.

If they had had nice personalities they would to me be the most handsome men in the whole world. Beautiful clothes, perfect hair, brown almond eyes and perfect bodies... It was interesting to see them in real life, but in my eyes they were the ugliest persons that has ever wandered on this earth.

"Where are you from?" The queen asked and her voice was so sharp that my ears hurt. She didn't seem like a powerful woman too me even though she was sitting in that large throne wearing a silver dress. Her original hair color was blonde, but now she was black. That was quite weird because neither of the princes were blonde, if so, they had coloured it. She was also slim and tall. I knew she didn't marry the king because of love, the whole country knew. She was only searching for a life with privileges and fame. Her heart was rotten as so was her soul.

"From this town." I simply answered. My eyes moved then to Jimin. I just couldn't stop myself. I had to see if he recognized me.

And he did look at me, just like the other seven princes did. He on the other hand looked bored and his gaze wandered somewhere else to something more interesting than me. It can't be happening. Doesn't he remember me? I was so glad and satisfied that I was about to grin but I stopped myself, luckily. It must be because of the makeup that he doesn't recognize me. When I steal things in the future I'll from now on wear makeup because apparently, I'm really that different, which is so damn great.

To distract my thoughts, my gaze wandered somewhere else. Also, I wanted them to understand that I was not the kind of girl that would drool just by looking at them.

"Any siblings?" Namjoon asked. What the fuck this feels so unreal. Just wait til Gi hear that Namjoon spoke to me. My respond was simple though, I just shook my head, I didn't even look at him as I did so.

"Time's up." The queen said and at the same time the seven princes turned their heads around to get eye contact with their parents. It was like they had some kind of mental telepathy because the second after they looked at me again and already had a decision.

"You're not chosen. You may leave."

I did my best to not fall when walking out of the hall. That meeting was incredibly tiring. When I was back in the hall, I looked around to find that it was only a few girls left. No wonder why they all seemed to be tired and bored, I was one of the last girls to meet them and the night had already come.

Even though it was dark and I barely saw anything I hopped, almost ran, with light steps home. I've never received as warm hugs as I did when I arrived to our barrack. My parents had probably walked around here all day and being worried as hell.

"I don't want to wear this anymore." I said and pointed at my dress and makeup. My mom nodded with a smile spread over her face as she helped me fix myself so I looked like the normal me.

I've never slept as deep as I did that night. The feeling of relief was probably the best and knowing that we had a lot jewelry and that I wasn't chosen was almost too good to be true.

-

The two following days was the best in my life. Everything was perfect, even the weather. I spent a lot of time at home, appreciating my parents and that we had food for the day thanks to the jewelry. The thought of that my neighbours had that too made my heart feel warm.

Two days after the Great Election, I couldn't help but to take a walk with Gi during the evening, even though the sun was about to go down and the guards would soon be out. We talked like we hadn't spoken for years and I told him about the royal family and the castle that neither of us never had seen before. He was excited as hell because he had, just like every other citizen, only seen those things in the newspaper.

"Did they look like they do in the paper?" He asked at least three times, but I just laughed as he continued to ask me hundreds of questions.

"How did it go for your sister?" I asked. For a moment I got scared that she was chosen to be one of the 100 first girls. However he only shrugged and looked up at the pink sky.

"She wasn't chosen and I already knew that it would happen before she left."

"How could you do that?"

"I just felt it in my heart."

"Hm..." I mumbled and also looked up at the sky that within seconds had turned orange.

"You see the sky?" I asked. "That colour means we should head home. I don't have the energy to be chased by guards tonight."

"Me neither."

"See you tomorrow?" I questioned and he hugged me as an answer.

"By the lake!!" I shouted when he began running. Everything felt so nice at the moment and it was probably therefore I stupidly smiled as I walked home. Why can't everyday be like this?

When I opened the door to the barrack I first didn't notice, I was probably too surprised. All I knew was that the two best days in my life ended right there. Without the sky that was still quite bright, I wouldn't have seen my parents tears.

Without any hesitation I rushed towards them and grabbed each of their hands, as I held tight.

"What has happened?!" I said in panic.

My father didn't answer, but he didn't need to since I could just follow his eyes to understand why he was broken. I turned to the side and saw the uniforms I knew too well on three tall and muscular figures, standing a few inches away from us.

"You are L/N Y/N. Am I correct?" One of the guards asked.

"What's happening?" I asked my father, ignoring the guard's question. My father was about to say something but suddenly I felt a harsh grip on my shoulder that forced me to turn back around.

"Answer me." The guard growled.

"Yes!" I almost shouted out of frustration. "I'm Y/N!"

"Perfect. We have found her, sir." The guard said which made me frown confused because I couldn't understand who he was talking to.

But I soon did.

The guard in the middle stepped aside, which revealed the person I never thought I'd see again.  I couldn't help but to gasp, I almost fell backwards as the person took a step into the light.

Jimin.
